"Wow! So beautiful!"

"Which family is she from? I have never seen her before!"

"She’s so breathtaking!"

"Everyone, look! Isn’t that Cassian?!"

"Ah, another mafia don is here! Unbelievable!"

"Look at the young man in the mask beside him. I recognize that mask—that’s the mask of the highest-ranked top hacker in the whole city!"

"This is crazy! I can’t believe I am seeing big shots here!"

"Raymond is with her as well! I say, which big family did this goddess come from?! She’s such a goddess!"

Prince’s gaze fell on Nova, and his eyes instantly widened. His heart quickened immediately. "Haven’t seen you for a few days, but seeing you now, my heart can’t handle it anymore. Nova, can I still continue having my way toward you slowly?" he thought, a gentle smile spreading on his lips.

Nova noticed someone’s gaze and stared in the direction of Prince. Seeing him, she rolled her eyes and walked closer to Mrs. Thomas.

"Mother," she called, chuckling.

"You are finally here, my dearest daughter-in-law. I have been waiting for you," Mrs. Thomas replied and hugged Nova. "Hope the journey didn’t stress you," she asked.

Nova pulled away gently and shook her head.

Mrs. Thomas breathed out a sigh of relief, then her gaze fell on Cassian and the masked Alan. "These two are..." she asked gently, staring at Nova.

"Oh, let me introduce," Nova said, and was about to start introducing Cassian and Alan to Mrs. Thomas when Delilah’s excited voice echoed from the crowd.

"Sister-in-law!"

Nova traced the direction of the voice and found Delilah rushing towards her. A gentle smile appeared on her lips, and she spread her arms, welcoming Delilah into her embrace.

"I have missed you so much. I wanted to come and meet you, but brother wouldn’t just allow me," Delilah reported, pouting.

Nova chuckled. "Awnn, I apologize on his behalf. You can visit me anytime you want. Don’t tell him, just call me directly," she whispered to her.

Delilah chuckled and nodded, then her gaze fell on Cassian and Alan. "They are your family?" she asked.

Nova didn’t hesitate and nodded.

Delilah chuckled. "I knew she must have been from a powerful family, but I didn’t expect it to be so powerful. My sister-in-law is awesome," she thought.

Mrs. Thomas held Nova’s hand, smiling warmly. "Dear daughter-in-law, let me introduce you to everyone," she said, and stared at Delilah. "Lead the guests to the VIP seats."

Delilah nodded and happily led Cassian and Alan to the VIP seats while Mrs. Thomas took Nova to the stage.

Cassian’s gaze fell on Prince, his brows knitted tightly together. "I really underestimated this bastard. He actually still has the time to come here," he thought, sitting in the seat right beside him.

Prince stared at Cassian and smiled harmlessly. "What a coincidence, you are here too," he stated.

Cassian rolled his eyes. "Coincidence, my foot," he thought. Then, he suddenly seemed to have thought of something, and a cunning smile appeared on his lips.

Raymond noticed Prince, and his brows slightly raised, staring at him with a murderous glare. "This guy is definitely here for my woman," he thought.

Alan was staring at Prince as well with intense hostility. "I feel like this guy is up to no good," he thought.

The tension around the VIP table instantly spiked to a terrifying degree. Three completely different, oppressively threatening auras surrounded Prince all at once. The strong killing intent radiating from Cassian, Raymond, and Alan was so thick and suffocating it made the surrounding air feel freezing cold, causing the nearby guests to subconsciously step away in fear. Yet, Prince seemed completely unfazed, not caring at all as he kept smiling sweetly.

On the stage, Mrs. Thomas took the microphone while still holding Nova’s hand, then she started speaking.

"Thank you all for honoring me and attending my party. Today is not only to celebrate my birthday but to also introduce my beautiful daughter-in-law," she said, and everyone clapped loudly.

Nova smiled lightly, staring at the crowd of people. She looked so flawless, like an angel, her majestic aura spreading widely across the room.

Mrs. Thomas continued. "My only son is lucky enough to pick the rarest gem. As his mother, I feel like I’m the luckiest mother-in-law for having such a great daughter-in-law. So today, I’m offering my daughter-in-law eighty percent of my properties as thanks for marrying my son and becoming my daughter-in-law," she said.

A loud clap from the crowd echoed immediately.

"Wow! Turns out she’s Mrs. Thomas’s daughter-in-law!"

"For a mother-in-law to care so much for a daughter-in-law, she must be very good!"

"She’s such a beauty and looks so angelic. Who wouldn’t want such a pure girl as a daughter-in-law?"

"Mrs. Thomas is indeed lucky."

Everyone started commenting as the cheers grew louder.

Cassian, who was watching the scene, bit his lower lip. He took out his phone and dialed someone’s number. The phone connected almost immediately, and Venom’s respectful voice echoed over the phone.

"Boss!"

"Remind me of my mother’s birthday again," Cassian commented with a straight face. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

"Eh?" Venom sounded surprised. "Uhm... her birthday has passed since April. What’s the matter?" he asked.

Cassian rubbed his nose lightly. "Who in our family wants to celebrate a birthday this month or next?" he asked.

"No one. Everyone’s birthday is in early May, June, and April," he replied, then paused and added, "Young madam’s birthday is in December."

"I know that," Cassian gritted his teeth together. "No one wants to do any celebration?" he asked.

"I don’t think so," Venom replied. "Did something happen?" he asked, sounding alarmed.

"Nothing. Today is Raymond’s mum’s birthday, and she’s somehow being too proud of having my wife as her daughter-in-law, showing off here and there. It makes me feel like she’s claiming my wife as her daughter-in-law alone," Cassian replied, gritting his teeth together.

Venom was silent for a long time. "Boss, I have something to do," he said, his voice sounding completely helpless and irritated.

Cassian didn’t reply and ended the call. "Well, if no one wants to do a celebration, I will just start one then. It’s not only the Thomas family that has property to give. I have many too," he thought.

Raymond, on the other side, was feeling incredibly proud of himself, giving extra claps and earning deadly glares from both Cassian and Alan. He could only laugh, seemingly enjoying provoking them.

A maid walked up to the stage with a tray containing the property documents and stood beside Nova, her head bowed respectfully.

Nova stared at the properties and sighed. "Another load of wealth here," she thought, and took the pen to sign.

But right at that moment, a loud, thunderous voice echoed from the grand entrance, shattering the celebratory atmosphere. The tension in the luxurious hall instantly snapped, the air freezing over as every single head whipped toward the doors.
