Chapter 79: 79:He will snatch my daughter-in-law away from me

"What... what’s that supposed to mean?" Mrs. Zion asked, looking completely confused.

Mr. Zion took in a deep, shaky breath. "Never mind. Keep an eye on our children and focus on recovering," he replied, and turned to leave.

Mrs. Zion stared blankly into the distance, her hollow expression filled with terrifying confusion.

..... Evening .....

Nova was dressed in a sweeping, long black gown heavily embroidered with intricate glass beads that caught the light like crushed diamonds. She looked absolutely breathtaking, paired with matching stiletto high heels that clicked with authority. Around her neck, she wore the delicate, elegant black lace choker Raymond had gifted her, adding a touch of dark allure. Her long, silky hair was styled to absolute perfection by Alan, framing her face flawlessly.

On her ring finger sat the ultimate symbol of her power and devotion, three perfectly fitted, brilliant rings—one from each of her husbands—stacked together in a dazzling, heavy display. She didn’t just look elegant, she radiated the absolute, suffocating aura of a dark queen stepping out of a myth.

Standing in front of her, her three husbands were all looking at her, falling in love with her all over again.

Seeing them staring at her in a breathless daze, Nova chuckled and walked closer to them. "Do I look pretty?" she asked in a low voice.

"Stunning... too beautiful!" the three replied in unison, holding their breath, not daring to tear their gaze away from her for even a second.

Nova chuckled warmly. "You three should breathe," she said, realizing they had been holding their breath.

The three breathed out heavily as soon as Nova spoke. Alan immediately rushed forward, pressing a warm kiss to her cheek.

"Snow, you are so stunning. I’m glad you are my wife," he said, hugging her tightly while resting his head against her chest.

"Go away." Cassian stepped forward, lightly forcing Alan away from Nova, and easily lifted her up in his strong arms. "Go and change and catch up with us. Also, remember to dress eye-catching so that people will recognize you immediately. Don’t let my wife lose face," he said to Alan.

Nova stared at Cassian, her beautiful smile never fading. "My baby is just a student," she commented.

"Him?" Cassian stared at Alan and smirked dangerously. "Don’t be deceived by his angelic appearance, my love. He’s not just an ordinary student," he replied.

Alan scratched the back of his head, feigning innocence. "I... I will go and change immediately. I can’t let my Snow lose face," he commented, and rushed upstairs immediately.

Nova sighed helplessly. "Well, it’s just a birthday party. Did he really have to go all out?" she thought. "Put me down, I can walk," she said.

"No," Cassian shook his head stubbornly. "I will do the carrying, my Queen," he added, smiling beautifully.

Nova chuckled.

"Let’s go," Raymond spoke, packing the gift bags from the table and exiting the room.

Cassian followed him, carrying Nova out to the cars.

..... The Thomas Family Private Hall .....

Soft, elegant music kept playing in the dark night. People were steadily coming into the grand hall, many were already seated while some stood in clusters, chatting with wine glasses in hand.

Among the high-society crowd were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, smiling happily as people greeted Mrs. Thomas for her birthday. Just as a group of guests walked away, Delilah walked closer to her parents, her anxious gaze staring at the hall entrance.

"Mum, brother said he’s coming with sister-in-law. Why haven’t they arrived?" she asked, her eyes fixed on the massive doors.

Mrs. Thomas also looked at the entrance and sighed. "Husband, how about you call them?" she said, turning to her husband.

Just as Mr. Thomas was about to speak, several men in sharp black suits rushed in with intimidating speed, stunning everyone in the room. Then, Prince entered. Dressed impeccably in his dark, tailored mafia uniform, he walked confidently forward toward Mrs. Thomas.

Everyone present was deeply shocked, and hushed murmurs instantly started rippling among the wealthy guests.

"Isn’t that Prince?"

"It’s him! What’s a terrifying mafia boss like him doing here?"

"It seems like the Thomas family isn’t as simple as they look..."

"Oh my god, it’s Prince!"

"Ah, he’s so devastatingly handsome!"

The murmurs gradually grew louder, but Prince completely ignored them. He walked closer to Mrs. Thomas, bowing fluidly with one hand on his chest like a perfect gentleman.

"My apologies for coming uninvited, Mrs. Thomas. Happy birthday to you," he spoke, standing straight and flashing Mrs. Thomas a warm, seemingly harmless smile.

Mrs. Thomas was completely tongue-tied and stared at her husband, but he also had a deeply confused expression on his face. She quickly looked back at Prince and forced a polite smile.

"No... no need to apologize. It’s our oversight. We should have sent an invitation to you," she said, her heart pounding as she secretly wondered whether he was actually there to cause bloody trouble.

Prince shook his head gently and raised a hand up a fraction of an inch. Seeing the subtle signal, a beautiful brown-haired lady stepped forward from his ranks with a luxurious gift box in hand.

"Happy birthday to you once again, Mrs. Thomas," he said.

Mrs. Thomas smiled awkwardly and signaled the waiting maid to accept the heavy gift. "Thank you," she replied, trying to keep her composure. "Delilah, take Prince to the VIP guest seat," she said.

Delilah nodded nervously and stared at Prince. "This way," she said, leading him to the tables.

"Wife, this Prince... do you think our son invited him?" Mr. Thomas asked in a hushed whisper, secretly thrilled by Prince’s high-profile presence.

"I don’t think so. He has never attended any of our family parties before. I think he has his own aim," Mrs. Thomas replied, her motherly instincts flaring as she stared in Prince’s direction. "When my daughter-in-law arrives, keep an eye on him. Don’t let him get close to her, otherwise, he will snatch my daughter-in-law away from me. My mind is telling me he’s here for her," she added fiercely.

Mr. Thomas nodded seriously. "I can’t let my son’s wife get snatched away, otherwise he will be heartbroken," he said.

Just as the two were whispering to each other, a sudden, suffocating shift in the air hit the room like a shockwave.

Dozens of towering, lethal men from three entirely different groups rushed in, forming a massive, intimidating barricade on either side of the grand entrance. Even though they were all dressed in pitch-black uniforms, their deadly, contrasting auras made it easy to realize they belonged to three completely different factions.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas exchanged panicked glances immediately, only recognizing one group—which was Raymond’s men.

"What’s going on here?" Mrs. Thomas stuttered in a fearful whisper, but Mr. Thomas was equally paralyzed with confusion.

The soft music seemed to instantly die out. Everyone turned to the grand entrance, completely shocked by the sudden, chilling drop in temperature. Their hearts began beating faster for an unknown reason, the magnetic tension in the air pressing down on their chests like a physical weight. The entire hall went dead quiet.

Then, Nova stepped in.

It was a entrance of pure dominance. She moved slowly out of the shadows, the chandelier light catching the intricate beads of her black gown, making her shimmer like a dark goddess descending upon mortals. Her three stacked rings glinted dangerously on her finger.

Cassian, Alan, and Raymond walked in synchronized perfection just a half-step behind her—an untouchable trinity of devastatingly handsome, terrifyingly powerful men acting as her absolute shield. When they reached the center of the entrance, the three men took their places flawlessly by her side.

The tension in the hall reached a boiling point, so thick and electric that it left everyone utterly breathless, completely stunned and paralyzed by the group’s overwhelming, supreme presence.

A breathtaking, chilling smile slowly appeared on Nova’s lips as she took a step forward.
