Chapter 69: 69:They are owing death heavily
"I really want to kiss Snow now," Alan thought, biting his lower lip while staring at Nova. The air between them was thick with an unspoken, magnetic heat—a heavy, intoxicating tension that made the bustling classroom around them fade into absolute nothingness.
Nova noticed his gaze and chuckled. "You want a kiss?" she asked, leaning closer.
Alan nodded, his face flushing immediately.
"When we get home, or do you want me to kiss you here? It will affect your reputation since you are still a student," Nova commented.
Alan held her hand. "But... but you are my wife," he said, moving closer to her.
Nova smiled and sat up straight, placing his head on her chest. "I promised your mum not to make our relationship public yet," she said, caressing his hair. "Let’s get home," she added.
Alan nodded. "Snow, can you promise me something?" he asked.
"What is it?" Nova asked, picking up her pencil with her left hand. Bringing out her sketchbook from her bag and opening it, she started sketching.
"When we get home, you... you will do that to me," Alan said in a low voice. His face flushed even more as he wrapped his arms around Nova.
"What?" Nova asked, her attention fixed on what she was sketching.
"Snow," Alan raised his head, staring at Nova with a pitiful gaze.
Nova looked at him. "What do you want me to do to you?" she asked, not sure of what he wanted her to do.
"That... um... with your... your mouth," Alan stuttered. His face flushed even more, he could feel his lower body heating up. The suffocating intimacy between them spiked, turning the small space they shared dangerously hot and entirely too private for a room full of people.
Nova raised an eyebrow in realization and stared at his pants, laughing lightly. "You are hard?" she whispered, staring into his eyes.
"Not... not that hard. Since... since the day you did that, I... I can’t stop thinking about it. It... it turns me on," Alan explained in a whisper.
"My... my, I’m spoiling this boy, aren’t I?" Nova thought, controlling her laughter. "Can you hold it until we get home?" she asked softly.
Alan nodded. "It seems like next time we will try it in school," he thought, burying his face in Nova’s chest.
Nova chuckled and continued sketching.
"Alan, I heard you’ve got a girl you are chasing! Who is—!" A cheerful voice echoed but couldn’t complete the statement, stunned by the position he found Alan in.
"What the hell! Damn it, Alan! You are really enjoying life!" The man couldn’t control his voice as he stepped forward. His gaze fell on Nova, and immediately, his eyes widened.
"So beautiful!" he murmured, covering his mouth to stop himself from cursing.
Alan raised his head. Seeing the man’s eyes glued to Nova—who wasn’t at all bothered by his appearance and continued her sketching—he immediately snapped his fingers in front of the young man’s eyes. The sweet, heated atmosphere instantly shattered, replaced by a sudden, volatile hostility. The air grew razor-sharp, crackling with Alan’s dark, possessive fury.
"Do you want your eyes removed, Charles?" Alan questioned coldly, not pleased with the way he was staring at Nova.
"Mhm... someone is jealous," Nova thought. A light smile appeared on her lips.
Charles blinked several times, returning to his senses. He laughed awkwardly, directing his gaze to Alan. "Hehe, brother, she... she’s the one you are chasing?" he asked, stealing another glance at Nova. "You have good eyes," he added.
"Get out of here," Alan replied, clearly annoyed.
Charles smiled and turned to leave but suddenly paused and turned around. "Bro, I have something important to report to you," he commented, his voice turning serious.
Alan frowned and was about to reject him, but Nova spoke. "Just sketched you, have this," she said, tearing out the page she had just drawn Alan on and passing it to him.
"You should go to class before your teacher enters," she added.
Alan’s eyes widened as he took the paper. Nova had just sketched their position from a moment ago, of him burying his head in her chest, looking completely innocent and charming.
Just the ordinary sketching alone felt alive, if it were a painting, it would be heavenly. Alan couldn’t control the surprised expression on his face.
"So beautiful! Snow, that was fast! You are so good!" Alan praised, staring at the sketch with twinkling eyes.
Nova merely smiled.
The whole class was curious to see Nova’s drawing, but they dared not move forward and could only imagine how perfect she was at drawing.
Meanwhile, Charles, seeing the drawing, was even more shocked. "Wow! Future sister-in-law, you are so good! Can you sketch me too?" he asked immediately.
Alan’s smile froze instantly, and he was about to speak, but Nova’s voice echoed before his.
"Sure, one million," she replied without sparing him a glance.
Alan smiled in satisfaction.
Charles rubbed his head. "Um... future sister-in-law, I am Alan’s good brother. Can you please give me a discount?" he asked.
"Of course. Pay two million then," Nova replied smoothly.
Alan laughed in satisfaction.
Charles was dumbfounded. "It was a discount that I mentioned, how did it turn into an increase?" he thought, staring at Alan for help.
Seeing Charles now staring at him, Alan cleared his throat. "Cash or transfer? Pay up immediately, don’t waste time," he said, looking completely serious.
Charles opened his mouth in disbelief. "I... I am a little broke lately, but don’t worry, future sister-in-law, I will definitely come back later for it," he said.
Nova nodded.
Alan folded the paper with care so as not to damage it. "I will come and look for you again, alright? Eat lots of snacks, okay," he said.
Nova nodded, flashing him a warm smile. "Noted," she replied, and watched as Alan left. Then she took another snack from the nylon bag, unwrapped it, and started eating.
"Nova, Alan is in trouble," Anah’s voice echoed.
Nova paused, her expression darkening instantly. The relaxed, playful air around her vanished in a heartbeat, replaced by a suffocating, sub-zero aura. The temperature in her immediate vicinity seemed to drop, heavy with a silent, murderous intent that screamed danger.
"Someone is targeting my man?" she asked.
"Yes. It might be hard for him on his side if you don’t interfere. That Logan boy already sold him out. The problem now is that Alan trusts his people blindly," Anah explained.
"No... he will soon start suspecting. But... to actually plot against my man, it seems like they are owing death heavily," Nova thought, her gaze turning chillingly cold. "Let me know their details," she added.
