Chapter 124: 124:I’ll have to rewrite his mind directly

The soaring glass facade of Cassian’s corporate headquarters towered into the sky, a monolith of power and wealth. Naomi stood on the manicured plaza outside, taking a deep, steadying breath before stepping through the heavy automated doors into the grand lobby.

Before she could take five paces across the polished marble, two burly, suit-clad security guards stepped into her path.

"Pardon me, miss. I need to see your company ID," the lead guard stated, his face an unreadable mask of professional discipline.

Naomi offered a dazzling, delicate smile, gently tucking a stray strand of dark hair behind her ear. "I’m actually here for a job interview," she said soft-spokenly, reaching into her designer bag to produce her identification. "My name is Naomi."

The guard examined the card, nodded, and returned it to her. "If you’re here for an interview, you’ll need to wait in the holding area while I alert Human Resources."

"Of course. No problem at all," Naomi replied sweetly. She watched with mild detachment as the guard dispatched a quick text from his phone.

Moments later, the high-speed elevator doors chimed open, and an elegantly dressed senior administrator hurried into the lobby. The moment her eyes landed on Naomi, her breath hitched, and her jaw subtly slackened.

"Could this be the Boss’s wife?" the administrator panicked internally. "The Boss once warned the executive board that his wife was the most stunning woman alive, and if she ever visited, no one was to stand in her way. She doesn’t even look real... she looks like an oil painting, she’s definitely his wife" she thought.

Composing herself, the administrator approached Naomi with a deep, respectful bow. "Are you... perhaps the Young Madam?" she asked cautiously.

A faint crease appeared between Naomi’s brows before her smile broadened. "Oh..I’m just here to interview for the open executive secretary position." She replied.

The administrator’s eyes widened further. "She’s definitely the Boss’s wife. She must be playing some secret roleplay game just to spend more time with him in his office!"

Sweating under her tailored blazer, the administrator chuckled nervously. "Right away! Please, follow me. We will finalize everything immediately."

She turned toward the private executive elevators, but Naomi’s smooth voice halted her mid-step. "Are you just going to skip the evaluation? Aren’t you going to interview me first?"

The administrator froze, cold sweat breaking out across her back. "Interview the CEO’s terrifyingly possessive wife? I’d like to keep my head and my paycheck, thank you very much!" She thought.

"Ah, that won’t be necessary at all! Your... qualifications and presence are more than perfect for the role," the woman managed to stammer out with a strained smile.

She whisked Naomi up to the top-floor management suite, pulling up an executive employment contract and sliding it across a polished glass desk. "Here is your contract, ma’am. Please review the compensation package and terms. If everything meets your satisfaction, you can sign right at the bottom."

Naomi scanned the generous terms and signed her name with an elegant flourish. "Everything is perfect. When do I start?"

"Right now! Allow me to introduce you to the CEO first," the administrator offered, leading Naomi down the quiet, carpeted hallway toward the monolithic double doors of the corner suite. She knocked twice with trembling knuckles.

"Enter," Cassian’s deep, commanding voice resonated from within.

The administrator smiled at Naomi. "Please step inside. I will take my leave now," she whispered hastily before retreating down the hall.

Naomi drew a long, silent breath, pushed the door open, and stepped into the sprawling, sunlit office.

Cassian sat behind an imposing obsidian desk, entirely absorbed in a thick financial dossier. Standing beside him was Venom. The second Naomi crossed the threshold, Venom’s sharp eyes locked onto her silver irises, his body instantly coiling into a combat-ready posture.

"I don’t recall seeing you on the executive floor before," Venom growled, his voice a razor-sharp threat as he glared at her.

Hearing Venom’s sharp reaction, Cassian lifted his head. His eyes narrowed as he took in Naomi’s presence, his expression completely void of warmth.

Naomi felt a flick of subtle unease under Cassian’s absolute indifference. "This man... why isn’t he reacting to my beauty? and there’s really no trace of lust in his eyes, Is his devotion to her truly this absolute?" She thought.

Masking her inner thoughts, she offered a fragile, harmless smile. "I was just hired as your new executive secretary. I am new here."

"Then what are you doing in my private office?" Cassian questioned, his voice cutting through the quiet like a frozen blade, heavy with disgust. "If you are new, go to your desk."

Naomi stood tongue-tied for a fraction of a second. "It seems he’s truly a stubborn type. Since seduction won’t work on him... I’ll have to rewrite his mind directly." She thought.

Without warning, Naomi’s silver eyes flared with an unnatural, blinding luminosity. She locked her hypnotic gaze directly onto Cassian’s eyes.

"Listen to my voice," she purred, her tone shifting into a terrifying, layered resonance. "I am your wife. You never loved Nova. You only want me... Naomi."

The air in the office grew suffocatingly dense, heavy with the stench of dark, forbidden magic.

Venom, sensing the sudden surge of lethal intent, reacted instantly. In a blur of motion, he drew his silenced sidearm and aimed it dead at Naomi’s forehead. "What are you doing to him?!" he roared.

Naomi didn’t even flinch. She simply turned her glowing silver eyes toward Venom, her gaze piercing straight into his consciousness. "Call me your future sister-in-law," she whispered softly.

Venom’s finger froze on the trigger. The vivid, intelligent light in his pupils instantly faded, replaced by a dull, milky silver sheen. His weapon lowered limply to his side.

"Future... sister-in-law..." Venom repeated in a hollow, robotic drone, staring blankly ahead.

Satisfied, Naomi turned her full attention back to Cassian.

Cassian was frozen behind his desk. The luminous silver light reflected in his pupils as two conflicting realities violently warred inside his mind. His jaw clenched so hard the muscles strained, veins bulging along his temples as her psychic magic attempted to forcefully overwrite his soul.

Naomi took a slow, deliberate step toward him. "Cassian... you want to marry me, don’t you?" she coaxed softly. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

Cassian’s breath turned ragged. A devastating, white-hot agony exploded behind his eyes as Naomi’s magic clawed at his memory of Nova, trying to shred the image of his wife and replace it with her own. But deep within his core, an unyielding, primal instinct rejected the intrusion with violent force.

"Marry you...?" Cassian rasped, his voice trembling under the sheer weight of the mental assault. "I... I already have a wife!"

The moment he spoke, a blinding migraine slammed into his skull, feeling as though his brain was being torn apart. Nova’s face began to blur in his mind under the oppressive silver haze, but Cassian fought back with terrifying, stubborn willpower, refusing to yield a single inch of his love.

Naomi’s eyes widened slightly in surprise. "This human’s willpower is absurd... Even as his mind breaks, he refuses to surrender her name." She murmured.

Her smile turned predatory as she closed the distance between them. "Why resist me, mhm? I have always been by your side. You were never married... you have always been single, waiting only for me," she lied, her voice a dripping-sweet venom that echoed directly inside his head.

The psychological pressure cracked the quiet room. Cassian abruptly shoved himself away from the desk, staggering back several paces. He dropped to one knee, clutching his head with both hands as a agonizing roar tore from his throat. The agonizing war in his mind was threatening to shatter his sanity, yet he glared up at her through bloodshot eyes.

"Stay... stay away from me!" he snarled through grit teeth, his voice filled with raw, bloody defiance. "I don’t... know you!"

Naomi stood directly over his trembling form, her glowing silver eyes shining with absolute dominance as she leaned down, her lips brushing against his ear.

"Does it hurt, Cassian?" she whispered, her voice a seductive, agonizing curse. "Just say the words... tell me you love me, and the pain will instantly vanish. I promise."
