They were a bit far from the fruit stall, but Lin Yun still spotted some unfamiliar fruits.

[Host, that’s a fruit unique to this world. It doesn’t exist in other worlds.]

Got it!

"Shall we go take a look?" Lin Yun asked Miss Rabbit.

"Okay. Fruit is quite expensive in the city. If it weren’t for you coming with me, I wouldn’t bother coming to the city. I’d just go to the forest and pick it myself. That’s why I fell into the ditch last time." Miss Rabbit sighed helplessly. The fruit she had painstakingly collected had fallen into the pit with her and broken, so she had not been able to eat a single one. She had spent half a day collecting them with great effort, and then they were gone just like that. It seemed she really had no talent for gathering.

As the two approached the fruit stall, a man with spikes all over his head stood up and greeted them warmly. "Please take a look if you need anything. And if we don’t have what you want here, just ask and I’ll go find it in the forest."

Lin Yun blinked. Goodness, there was even this kind of service.

"Let’s pick something." Miss Rabbit took a basket and began to choose.

Lin Yun looked over the fruits and took only those unique to this world. She wanted to buy them and plant them in her yard. With her wood spirit aura, planting a fruit tree would be easy. After that, no matter which world she went to, she would be able to eat different fruits.

Lin Yun picked out quite a few, which pleased the spiky-haired man greatly. "A total of 3 gold coins!"

After paying, the two continued to browse the surrounding stalls. She did have her eye on some things, but since they were out and about, Lin Yun could not just put them directly into her backpack, so she did not buy much.

At the city gate, several races were queuing to pay the entrance fee.

"Hey, isn’t this Crocodile Green? What happened to your arm? How did you get injured? What kind of hero did this, hahaha?"

A bird-like man who had come out of the city to buy something at the gate caught sight of Crocodile Green, who was about to enter the city. On closer inspection, he realized that Crocodile Green was injured, and he could not help making a few sarcastic remarks.

"None of your business! Mind your own business!"

Crocodile Green glared fiercely at Kong Ling. Damn it, what he feared most had come to pass. After finishing his business, he had discovered that his arm was injured, as if he had been stabbed by something. After finally treating the wound, he had been on his way back to Monster City when he stepped into a trap set by a hunter, leaving him limping and in a sorry state.

"Oh, you call yourself a young master? You’re such a coward, hahaha."

Kong Ling was not afraid of Crocodile Green. His Peacock Clan held some sway in Monster City, and the Crocodile Clan was nothing special, so he naturally would not give Crocodile Green any face.

Crocodile Green glared at him with a sinister look. "Kong Ling, are you looking for death?" He was already annoyed because of his injury, and Kong Ling was still causing trouble for him.

Kong Ling glanced at the injury. "A member of a collateral branch, are you sure you want to attack me, a direct descendant?"

Crocodile Green choked and could only glare fiercely at Kong Ling again before limping away.

As he passed by Lin Yun and the others, a notification suddenly popped up from the system.

[System notification: This person has traces of red smoke from a tracking arrow on his body!]

Fearing that Lin Yun might not have heard it, the system prompted her twice more.

Lin Yun squinted at the receding Crocodile Green. There was red smoke from her tracking arrow on this person. Things had suddenly gotten interesting. Could it be that what the tracking arrow had hit last night was him?

Just then, it was her turn in line. Lin Yun reluctantly took out ten gold coins and handed them to the elf guard who was collecting the entrance fee. Her expression caught the attention of Kong Ling, who was still standing nearby.

"What’s wrong? You’re reluctant to part with your gold coins?" Miss Rabbit looked at her in amusement.

Lin Yun sighed. "You don’t understand. When I arrived in the Western Continent, I only had 100 gold coins left. I’m a poor deer now."

"Pfft." Miss Rabbit laughed, finding the deer really amusing.

Kong Ling chuckled too, drawing the attention of Lin Yun and Miss Rabbit. Lin Yun glared at him. What was wrong with this guy? Eavesdropping on their conversation was one thing, but laughing at her was another. She had only been joking with Miss Rabbit!

Kong Ling composed himself under her glare, touched his nose, and looked a little awkward. "Um... I didn’t mean to. I just thought what you said was interesting."

Lin Yun: "..."

"From what you just said, it seems you’re not from the Western Continent?" Kong Ling asked curiously.

Lin Yun did not know why he was asking, so she only stared at him without a word.

Kong Ling felt a little uneasy under her gaze and continued, "If you don’t have enough gold coins, you could find a job in the city?"

"You make it sound like jobs are easy to find."

Kong Ling: "...I made a mistake. I forgot about that."

Lin Yun did not want to talk to him and found him rather strange, so she pulled Miss Rabbit, who had been watching the show from the side, away.

On her shoulder, Sang Biao had seen Kong Ling laugh at his Youyou. As Lin Yun turned to leave, he turned his head and puffed a breath at Kong Ling.

Kong Ling touched his nose. Oh no, it seemed he had offended the sika deer visiting from another continent. Would she tell on him when she got back? If he got complaints from races on other continents, he would be finished.

After walking a distance, Lin Yun asked in a low voice, "Was the one the peacock was mocking just now from the Crocodile Clan?"

Miss Rabbit nodded. "Yes. Did you see the skin on his head? People with skin like that are all from the Crocodile Clan. If you see them in the future, just go around them."

Miss Rabbit worried that the deer was just a young adult, unaware of the dangers of the outside world, so she wanted to give her a few more words of advice.

Lin Yun recalled the skin on the man’s head. It looked like crocodile skin, but it seemed different from the crocodiles she had seen before, rougher and more uneven. She suddenly shuddered. Thankfully, her random NPC identity was not from the Crocodile Clan.

Still, the system had notified her that there were traces of red smoke on that man. She needed to figure out what was going on.

Miss Rabbit had bought furniture in Monster City before, and soon she brought Lin Yun to the shop where she had bought it.

"Oh, isn’t this Miss Rabbit? What’s up? You’ve moved into a new house and are here to buy furniture?"

Hearing the voice, Miss Green Bamboo looked up, saw an acquaintance, and greeted her with a smile.

Miss Rabbit snorted twice. "What are you saying, Miss Green Bamboo? I’m introducing you to a new customer, okay! Let’s talk about moving into a new house another time."
