Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!
Chapter 1225: A brief summary of the conquest of the Ice Caves.
After moving into the living room of Idan and Arabel’s house, the company gave Nemo and the others the opportunity to share their experiences in the Ice Caves and the challenges they had to face.
Lucinda took on the role of narrator, and the rest of the participants supplemented her narration from time to time.
They remembered their first ascent of the slope, when they had to face a wave of ghouls, snow wolves and an avalanche that dragged them back down, nullifying their first climbing efforts.
When it came to the eruption of the Lava Dragon in the middle of the snow, Hailey inserted her memories:
"At that moment, I was trapped and couldn’t move. And then one of the wolves dug up and bit my leg, and that made me furious."
Her words brought some animation to the story, making the audience smile.
But when Lucinda started talking about the death of Ned’s clone and the subsequent ice arrow attack, all eyes turned to Ilveina, who listened in silence without interfering.
To their questioning glances, she answered briefly:
"These were the personal actions of one of the naughty and curious "children." He came back right after that."
Nemo, Lina, Lucinda, Milena, Ned and Hailey exchanged glances.
From the moment of the attack until they reached the cave entrance, they were completely exhausted, fearing that the enemy might attack at any moment. But, as it turned out, he did not pursue them and immediately returned.
Lucinda briefly described how they got into the Ice Caves and walked through long slippery corridors until they met the first obstacle.
"The ice wall and the first condition: one of us must stay so that the others can continue on their way."
"At first we wanted to refuse and even come back here to discuss this issue with all of you, but after much debate we decided to continue. Ned volunteered to be the first to set off."
All eyes fell on Ned, and he smiled, flattered by the attention.
"I was transported to another place where I fought one of the Frostborns, defeated him and earned one point," he said briefly, without going into details.
Lucinda, Nemo, Lina and Milena, who were not aware of what was happening to those who were being taken, looked at each other.
And then Lucinda asked:
"A point? What kind of a point is that?"
"And this... The fact is that everyone who was transported fought with one of the champions of the Ice Caves," Hailey intervened, telling the rules of the duels, which revealed the secret to Nemo and the others.
"I was the second one to fight the Ice Dragon, and I was even able to tame it," she said proudly, holding her head high.
Arslan and Irene weren’t there, so Hayley told them about their battles, embellishing them like her own.
Arabel frowned as she listened to Arslan’s fight with the crazy Frostborn woman. Now she understood why her brother was the only one who lost consciousness.
Idan noticed that Arabel’s mood had soured and took her cold hands.
Feeling the warmth of his hands, Arabel smiled and looked at him.
"Your brother will be fine," Idan said through a mental link and added, "After all, my sister takes care of him. When he wakes up and finds out about it, I’m sure he’ll be over the moon."
Arabel blinked and then giggled, agreeing with him.
"You’re right."
Noticing that Arabel’s mood had improved, Idan gently kissed her hands and turned his gaze to the modest and silent Ned.
Although Ned did not share the details of his fight, Idan understood that he had changed. Not only externally... His inner state became clearer and more defined than before.
He also noticed that Geminia had been staring at Ned for a while, smiling.
"She noticed it too," Idan thought, and turned his attention back to Hailey, who was talking about how formidable and frightening Irene was and how quickly she was able to defeat her enemy.
"So that’s what happened... You earned three points, and thanks to that, we were teleported to the Heart of the Cold," Lucinda said, realizing the whole picture of events that unfolded during the Conquest.
Nemo, Lina and Milena were also pleasantly surprised by the significant contributions made by the remaining group members.
In this regard, Milena realized that she had contributed almost nothing to the overall victory. Even Arslan, although he did not win his match, still contributed to the success of the team.
There was only one person present who would disagree with her, and that person was Ned. In the end, it was her words that helped him rethink his life and find his true form.
"In the Heart of the Cold, Nemo, Lina, and I fought against..." Lucinda broke off and looked at Ilveina. — "... with Lady Ilveina."
Nemo and Lina, remembering this battle, drooped.
Everyone who listened didn’t have to guess for long to realize that they had been defeated. Their appearance eloquently testified to this.
Seeing that Lucinda was slow to tell the story, Hailey took the initiative.:
"Lucinda was eliminated first, Lina broke her sword and was eliminated second. And Nemo made a breakthrough to the Diamond Rank and used two dark daggers before Lady Ilveina froze the entire arena, including Milena."
Hearing the last, Milena lowered her eyes in embarrassment.
Of all the things Hailey just said, it wasn’t the group’s defeat, Nemo’s breakthrough to the diamond rank, or even Milena’s embarrassment that attracted the most attention.
"Did Nemo use Dark Daggers?" — that’s what everyone who knew that Nemo had one of the seven Dark Weapons thought.
The silence of the audience and their gazes directed at Nemo made it clear to Ilveina that they were aware of Nemo’s origin from the Rain clan.
"Not only did he extract the Dark Daggers, but he also used the true ’Rampage’ of the Rain Clan," she added, dividing them into two groups.
One of them, the one who was not familiar with the "Rampage", stared at her in disbelief.
But the second group, which included Sierra, Geminia, Milica and Lucinda, their views became more serious and stricter.
"The Rain Clan?" Milena and Hailey asked at the same time, drawing attention to themselves. They had never heard of such a clan before, and importantly, their systems reacted immediately by issuing a task to find out more about it.
Milica looked at them, and then at Nemo, Idan, and Arabel. She remembered that a long time ago, back in the third city of Limbo, she had promised to tell them about the Rain Clan in the future.
"The Rain Clan..." she began, looking at Nemo. "Or, as it is now known in narrow circles as the Cursed Clan."
