Chapter 1224: I hear your voice...

Supervisor stared at the Tree.

There was something about it that attracted her. Not a nascent Law, or even a surprising combination of two different forces. There was something else behind them, the nature of which she couldn’t identify.

It seemed both alien and vaguely familiar. The longer Supervisor stared at the Tree, the stronger became the inexplicable desire to get closer and understand what exactly originated in its core.

The Tree itself felt her interest differently.

The white eyes without pupils seemed to it to be all-seeing. Their intense, oppressive gaze seemed to penetrate the bark, touch the roots and explore the hidden power inside.

Startled, the Tree reached out to Arabel. Its branches wrapped around her like the arms of a child seeking protection from its mother, the one who planted it, nurtured it with her energy, and helped it take root for the first time.

"Don’t be afraid, as long as you’re here, no one will hurt you."

Arabel ran a soothing hand over the bark and looked at Supervisor.

She didn’t even seem to notice her gaze. All her attention was focused on the Tree.

Gradually, the Tree stopped shaking like a child after hearing her mother’s voice and her words of comfort.

When Arabel took her hand away and wanted to step back, the tree reluctantly released her. It seemed like it didn’t want to let her go.

Freeing herself from the embrace of the tree, Arabel went to Supervisor, who was standing a little to the side, next to Geminia and Sierra.

Although it was only their second meeting, Arabel remembered it very well.

It is an impassive, silent face with snow-white eyes without pupils.

Halfway there, Idan joined her, who couldn’t just stand by and watch. And on the other side, Milica appeared to escort her disciple.

Ilveina looked up from the tree only when they appeared in front of her.

Her eyes met Arabel’s and then dropped to her stomach. When she saw the two babies, she flinched slightly, but then she looked up and looked back at Arabel.

"Nice to see you again," Arabel smiled. "My name is Arabel. Arabel Fein."

Without stopping there, Arabel decided to introduce her husband.:

"This is my husband and the father of my children, Idan Fein."

Ilveina turned to Idan, and he got goosebumps when he met her white eyes.

Then Arabel turned to Milica and introduced her.:

"This is Milica Celestria, our esteemed Master."

Milica smiled politely and bowed to Ilveina.

Ilveina only nodded slightly in greeting.

Feeling awkward and noticing the puzzled looks, Geminia decided to intervene.

"She can’t talk because of..."

Geminia did not have time to finish, as Ilveina, turning to the side, found Nemo and called him, addressing him with gestures.

Nemo, who was standing a little to one side, pointed to himself, and Ilveina, nodding, beckoned him over, waving her hand.

Lina followed Nemo, followed by the rest of the group.

This time, Nemo used the mental link himself to find out what Ilveina wanted from him.

"Lady Ilveina, did you call me?"

"Yes, Challenger, can you use your ability so that everyone can hear me?" Ilveina asked with a nod, getting straight to the point.

Nemo involuntarily glanced at Idan and Arabel, and then nodded.:

A slight smile appeared on Ilveina’s face, which came as a surprise to everyone, including Geminia, who stared at Nemo in amazement.

As soon as Nemo used the mental link to talk to everyone, the smile disappeared from Ilveina’s face, and her gaze became normal, impassive.

"Hmm... can you hear me?" she asked.

There was a short silence, which was broken by Geminia, who was most shocked by what was happening.

"Huh? What?" she exclaimed.

Everyone turned to look at her, including Ilveina.

"I hear your voice..." Geminia gasped in surprise. "How?"

While Geminia was startled to hear Ilveina’s voice, the others were surprised by Geminia’s reaction, who usually always remained calm.

"Yes, it’s all thanks to the Challenger and his unique communication ability," Ilveina replied, and a slight smile reappeared on her usually cold face, which startled Geminia even more.

All eyes turned to Nemo.

"This is the mental link ability that I got from Idan," he replied, pointing at Idan.

"A mental link?" — Idan and Arabel exchanged glances.

Yes, this ability was unique in its own way, it was difficult to catch and even eavesdrop on. It was one of the first System Abilities they acquired.

"Do you have this ability too?" asked Ilveina, and Idan and Arabel nodded at the same time.

The cold Supervisor of the Ice Caves stood in front of them, but Arabel and Idan could feel the joy hidden behind her slight smile.

"I am Ilveina the Silent, the Progenitor of the Frostborn race and the Ruler of the Ice Caves," she introduced herself, as befits a Rank 9 being, with a firm and proud voice.

Everyone, including Idan and Arabel, nodded at her in greeting. However, they were still at a loss, and seeing this, Geminia, who had already calmed down, decided to reveal Ilveina’s peculiarity to them.

When Geminia explained why Ilveina usually stays silent, everyone was amazed.

"Does every word she says have the Power of Words?"

"It’s not just her voice that has the Power of Words. Even the transmission of thoughts through the Soul Force can awaken it. And if someone tries to enter Ilveina’s mind or read her thoughts, the Power of Words activates itself as a defensive reaction," Geminia added.

Everyone nodded, equally amazed now.

At this time, Idan, not hiding his curiosity, turned to Nemo and the others.:

Nemo glanced at Ilveina and nodded.

"Great," — Arabel smiled when she saw this, and suggested, "Maybe we should move on to our house. I want to hear how it went."

Agreeing with her suggestion, the whole company moved into the living room of a two-story wooden private house.
