Chapter 106: The Mid- Grade Spiritual Liquid
There was something strangely satisfying about seeing their progress laid out so clearly.
Victor leaned back against the wall.
The moonlight continued to illuminate half of his face.
He closed the status window.
For tonight, his cultivation was finished.
He had gained strength.
His body had been tempered.
And, more importantly, he could feel that his foundation was becoming increasingly stable.
Victor looked toward the dark sky outside.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
There was still a long road ahead.
And he had no intention of stopping.
Other than his cultivation, the box of his martial skills that had been empty before was now filled with the techniques he had practiced during the week.
Lane’s cultivation had increased by one level from their dual cultivation sessions.
Other than Lane, everyone else’s status remained the same.
He hadn’t added Violet to his relationships, so her profile wasn’t here.
It’s not that he didn’t want Violet as his woman.
He already considered her his woman.
Even if she didn’t want it.
But he wanted to know about her completely before letting her join the family.
He thought in his heart.
But then he remembered something.
He called the system in his mind.
Then the system came.
And he commanded.
Victor didn’t forget to sign in— it was the second-week sign-in day.
Victor called for the system in his mind.
A familiar presence answered almost immediately.
He didn’t waste any time.
"System. Sign-in."
Today was the second-week sign-in.
There was no way Victor was going to forget something like that.
A clear notification echoed inside his mind.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations to the host for completing the weekly sign-in.]
[Reward: Mid-Grade Spiritual Liquid.]
Victor’s eyes lit up.
"Great!"
He couldn’t hide the excitement in his voice.
His golden eyes sparkled brightly.
The reward had come at exactly the right time.
The Low-Grade Spiritual Liquid was no longer that useful to him. It could still provide some energy, but the benefits were becoming increasingly insignificant as his cultivation grew stronger.
The Mid-Grade Spiritual Liquid was completely different.
It contained far more concentrated spiritual energy.
If he absorbed it properly, it could push his cultivation up by two levels.
That was something Victor couldn’t simply ignore.
Of course, he already had another way to increase his cultivation.
His mother had given him plenty of powerful medicine pills.
With those pills, his cultivation could rise much faster.
But Victor had never been fond of relying on them.
The problem wasn’t their effectiveness.
It was what came afterward.
Medicine pills might allow a cultivator to break through quickly, but there was always a price to pay.
The energy inside them wasn’t completely pure.
Repeatedly consuming them would leave impurities behind in the body.
Over time, those impurities could affect a cultivator’s foundation.
For someone who cared about his future strength, that was unacceptable.
Victor would rather cultivate a little slower than ruin his foundation for temporary gains.
The Spiritual Liquid was different.
It was a natural treasure.
Its energy was much purer than the energy contained within ordinary medicine pills.
There were no troublesome impurities slowly building up inside his body.
There was no need to worry about damaging his foundation simply because he used it to cultivate.
Of course, that didn’t mean the Spiritual Liquid was completely harmless.
Victor knew better than anyone that every powerful treasure came with its own danger.
The Spiritual Liquid was no exception.
If someone absorbed more energy than their body could withstand, the consequences could be disastrous.
Their body could literally explode from the overwhelming spiritual energy.
It wasn’t something that could be treated as a joke.
Even Victor had to be careful.
Fortunately, his body wasn’t comparable to that of an ordinary cultivator.
His Solar Sovereign Physique had already transformed him to an extraordinary degree.
His muscles were incredibly tough.
His bones had been tempered again and again.
Even his internal organs were far stronger than those of an ordinary warrior.
The chaos mana that had coursed through his body had refined him from the inside out.
Every part of his physical body had been strengthened.
That gave Victor a considerable advantage.
He could withstand an amount of energy that would have overwhelmed an ordinary cultivator.
Still, he wasn’t arrogant enough to think he was completely immune to danger.
Powerful energy was still powerful energy.
If he became careless, even his body could reach its limit.
Victor didn’t waste any more time thinking about it.
With a thought, he took out the Mid-Grade Spiritual Liquid.
A small jade vial appeared in his hand.
A soft blue glow surrounded it.
Even through the jade, Victor could sense the dense spiritual energy sealed inside.
He looked at the vial for a moment.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
This was exactly what he needed.
He pulled out the cork.
The moment the seal was removed, a rich spiritual aroma spread through the room.
Victor’s expression changed slightly.
The spiritual energy was even denser than he had expected.
He could feel it before he had even consumed a single drop.
His golden eyes narrowed with anticipation.
"Not bad."
His fingers tightened slightly around the jade vial.
Today, his cultivation was going to rise again.
The scent drifting from the vial was sweet and refreshing. It reminded him of clear mountain spring water mixed with a hint of honey.
Victor raised the vial to his lips.
Then he emptied it in one gulp.
The liquid was cool.
It slid smoothly down his throat, leaving behind a refreshing sensation.
For a brief moment, nothing happened.
Then—
Warmth spread through his body.
Victor’s expression changed.
The spiritual energy contained within the liquid was immense. It was far more potent than the low-grade version he had used before.
The energy suddenly erupted inside him.
It rushed through his meridians like a raging river breaking through a dam.
Victor’s body shook.
His meridians began to strain beneath the overwhelming pressure.
Yet he didn’t panic.
He had expected this.
