Chapter 1910: Esteban Castle

The knights were rushing toward Nathan and the others, trying to get away from the big alien.

"Sir, we have to leave now. This alien is simply too powerful." The knight leader announced before turning around. "You guys go first. I will buy you some time."

Before the knights could grab them, Nathan raised his hand, stopping them. He also nodded to Noelle.

The knights were confused and furious. Their leader was going to buy them time, so the civilians should have just cooperated and gotten to safety. If they didn’t cooperate, their leader would be risking his life for nothing.

However, one second later, the alien suddenly stopped moving. Its body was split in two and fell to the ground.

"!!!" The knights panicked because they thought the alien had just attacked, but when they turned their heads around, they found the alien falling apart.

Even their leader couldn’t believe what had just happened.

The only thing they could see was Noelle holding her sword as though she had just drawn it. Yes, she acted as if she had only drawn it, and it was more than enough to kill this big and powerful alien.

There was only one reason. Noelle was simply too strong for them to even figure out her power. Besides, without them realizing it, all the lower-level aliens had also died.

He gulped nervously, wondering if he had been rude to such a powerful person.

Little did they know, Nathan didn’t make a move because when they were too focused on the aliens, Nathan actually turned around and updated the sigil. Of course, he also gave the sigil to Machina, wondering if she could understand them as well since she wasn’t a human.

Nevertheless, with the alien gone, the knight leader returned to Nathan and jumped off his horse, politely greeting them. "I respectfully greet the Transmutation King."

Nathan didn’t say anything regarding the title the leader believed to be right.

"We’d like to thank you for helping us deal with this alien. I wonder if you’re willing to visit Esteban Castle."

Nathan thought for a moment. "That’s fine by me. We will make a small detour."

"Thank you very much. I am a Transmutation Master, Sword Elright."

"Nathan. These are my wives, my assistant, and my disciple." Nathan nodded.

Just from this simple introduction, Elright realized Nathan was the strongest among them. If he were weaker than the one wielding a sword, he wouldn’t introduce his disciple but that person’s disciple.

"Please allow me to escort you." Elright nodded politely. He signaled to a few knights, asking them to give up their horses so that Nathan and the others could ride them.

Nathan simply accepted the courtesy without saying anything.

Of course, Elright also asked his second-in-command to gather the alien cores.

Elright looked at Nathan for a few seconds, wondering how strong Nathan was.

"Were you perhaps targeting the first alien group, not the second one?" Nathan asked.

"Yes, sir. We received a report that an alien group was running rampant. So, Castle Lord Golzok dispatched us to take care of it," confirmed Elright. "However, I didn’t expect to meet Your Excellency here."

"I’m merely passing by. Treating me specially won’t do you any good. We’re just trying to enjoy simple lives." Nathan waved his hand.

"Understood. However, I’d like to thank Your Excellency for taking down the Brute Sinker."

"Brute Sinker? Has it been around for so long that you have given it a nickname?"

"It has been around for five years. Whenever we dispatch someone to take it down, it will disappear. There were a few times we were close to defeating it, but the alien chose to retreat underground, and it was impossible to catch it. We had followed it a few times, but none returned."

"I see." Nathan nodded in understanding. "Still, you are quite strong at such a young age."

"I’m flattered." Elright bowed politely.

"I wonder if there is a bookstore nearby." Nathan asked.

"Why is that?" Elright asked, confused. Even though he was polite, he also needed to get as much information as possible. He needed to know Nathan’s origin.

"Nothing. Just a habit of mine. I love to read books." Nathan nodded calmly.

"Ah! I’m sure that Lord Golzok will be more than happy to allow you to enter the library."

"Is that so? I’m glad then." Nathan looked left and right.

Although the other party was polite, Elright wondered how old Nathan actually was. There was no way he was young with that level of power.

Nathan kept asking small matters without giving away his identity too much. This way, Elright could only feel suspicious but not daring to ask about it or act against him.

After twenty minutes, a big city came into view. The city was surrounded by rice fields. Then, a huge canal was made surrounding the city before it was fortified with a thick stone wall.

The paddy field spanned quite wide, so there didn’t seem to be any food scarcity in this world.

"This is the Esteban Castle." Elright smiled.

Nathan nodded carefully while taking a peek inside the city. The building itself was similar to what they had, but there were living beings different from humans.

No, it was more accurate to say that they were demihumans.

There weren’t many of them, but Nathan could see an elf, two cat-eared women, and even an old dwarf roaming the street.

"Master." Surprisingly, Machina came to him using the local language. She pronounced the local language directly.

Nathan spoke in a low voice, using his power so that no one could hear what he was talking about. "You can talk in their language?"

"I have deciphered their primitive language."

"..." Nathan smiled wryly, not knowing how to react. "Right?"

’Yes. Thanks to Master talking to him the entire time as well as your sigil, I am able to decipher their language quickly. At least, it should be good enough for basic conversation."

"I see." Nathan nodded. "For now, just stay quiet about it. I will take care of the conversation until we are able to determine the situation in this world. If possible, I want to find a book that allows us to get a good understanding of this world."

"Understood? Should we split the team again?"

"Not yet."

They finally entered the city as Elright welcomed them.

"We’ve arrived. Welcome to Esteban Castle."
