Chapter 1909: Knights

"This is not a good start." Nathan frowned.

"Good start or whatever. We just have to kill them." Flora nodded.

"I’ll take care of it." Noelle grabbed her sword.

Before she could go, Nathan raised his hand, asking them to stop. Nathan added, "There is actually a group of people coming toward them."

"!!!" Noelle and Flora turned their heads. Their senses were weaker than Nathan’s, who was practically aware of the space around him because of his element.

The aliens soon came into sight. They looked similar to the aliens he had encountered before. They already knew how to take care of themselves.

On the other hand, the other group that seemed to be approaching the aliens turned out to be a group of humans.

"Nathan. Are they..." Flora pointed at them.

"Yeah. They’re humans." Nathan nodded. "There is no difference. Maybe they call themselves differently, like the empire."

"Fair enough." She nodded.

"What are we going to do then?" Noelle asked. "Should I cut the aliens so that they will look at us favorably?"

"Wait. I’m curious how they’re using their power."

The group of humans was riding horses. There were a total of twenty people with eighteen of whom were wearing full body armor like that of a knight. On the other hand, the two at the front were wearing a military uniform and a simple tunic.

The one wearing the military uniform stood up on top of his horse as though the horse’s movements didn’t bother him. He raised his hands, clenched them, and let the two holes connect to each other.

The moment he separated them, a blue light emerged like that of a sword.

Then, he made a drawing motion, which allowed him to materialize the sword. It looked like a normal silver sword, but the energy in it was quite powerful.

The aliens noticed them, wondering if they should deal with the knights first or Nathan. Their instinct was telling them that Nathan was a much bigger threat, but if they didn’t react, these knights would kill them first.

In the end, a few aliens split off in order to stop the knights.

As if trying to stop them from running away, the knight in front raised his blade high.

At the same time, the person in the simple clothes also materialized glass bottles with different colored liquids.

He threw the bottles at the aliens. They exploded upon impact, killing all the aliens that dared to split up.

Then, the leader jumped into the air and swung his blade. The energy from the blade flew like blazing blue fire.

It cut and burned the aliens at the front, creating a curtain of fire that stopped the aliens from passing.

The moment they stopped, the eighteen knights behind them overran them completely, not letting any aliens survive.

Nathan could see their individual levels. The two people leading the cavalry looked as strong as epic class summoners. Their strength couldn’t be underestimated. The knights were at least master or grandmaster class summoners. With a group like this, it was only natural for them to defeat the aliens.

However, the two leaders precisely knew the reason they could win so easily was because of Nathan.

If the aliens weren’t so distracted, they would at least get some injuries.

That was why after killing all of them, the leader turned his head and found Nathan before gradually approaching him.

"May I know who you are?" The leader asked.

"We’re travelers." Nathan replied. Iris glanced at Nathan, finding him already wearing a cloth over his mouth so that no one could read his lips. "I want to make my wives happy, so we’re having a trip. Right now, we’re just letting the wind carry us and enjoy every little thing we encounter."

The leader narrowed his eyes. There was a reason he spoke politely. The aliens followed their instincts, so the fact that they prioritized Nathan over the cavalry meant the aliens thought Nathan was more dangerous than they were.

In other words, Nathan was strong.

"This is Transmutation Master Golzok’s territory. If you—" Before he could complete his sentence, he was distracted by Nathan’s action. He was actually looking to the left. He frowned, wondering if Nathan had manners.

However, Nathan soon changed the atmosphere by saying, "It doesn’t look like we’re going to have a peaceful talk. There is another group approaching from that direction."

"!!!" The knight leader was startled. He couldn’t see anything even though he was mounted.

At the same time, he felt like Nathan wasn’t joking.

A few seconds passed, but he still didn’t find anything. He started thinking Nathan was lying, but five seconds later, he actually saw a dust cloud.

"!!!" The knight leader was startled. Nathan was right. Judging by how fast the aliens were moving, Nathan should have sensed them at twice their current distance. ’Just how strong his sense is?’

There were a lot of things he wanted to ask, but it wasn’t important for the time being. "Knights, get ready. There will be another group coming toward us!"

The knights hurriedly mounted their horses after jumping off to retrieve the cores earlier.

The knight leader said, "Please wait for a moment. We will take care of those aliens."

The knight leader led the charge again as his subordinates followed right after him. They intended to use the same strategy.

The man creating the potions threw them first, slowing down the enemy while killing some.

Then, the leader split them apart with a single slash. The knights had already divided themselves into two groups, ready to kill the rest of the aliens.

But before they could eliminate the threat, the ground suddenly shook violently. A huge, deep cry echoed across the area.

"!!!" The knight leader widened his eyes in shock. The horses abruptly kicked the ground and came to a halt.

The rumbling continued as huge hands split the ground apart and a massive human alien emerged from the ground.

The knight leader panicked. The knights recognized the aliens.

"It’s that Harbinger of Death. It’s too strong for us!"

The knight leader gritted his teeth. "We have to evacuate. Grab the civilians. We’re getting out of here."
