Chapter 1658: Bad News
Chapter 1658: Bad News
"How about making an embassy?" Nathan raised one finger.
"An embassy?" Flora tilted her head in confusion. "I understand the embassy thing. We don’t have it on Gratzel, but it can also improve the kingdom’s image. This embassy will take control of all matters related to the kingdom’s citizens.
"Normally, the citizens of our kingdom won’t leave the kingdom because they will be judged by other kingdoms if they break a rule.
"But if we have this embassy, we will have a layer of protection. This can also be a justification to start a war, which is slightly concerning."
As expected of a princess, she definitely understood the benefits of having an embassy.
Nathan waved his hand. "Unfortunately, I’m not talking about this kind of embassy. I’m thinking about an inter-continent embassy."
"!!!" Flora widened her eyes. She looked down, falling into deep thought.
After a few minutes, she asked in astonishment. "Are you insane?"
"Nope." Nathan smiled. "If we can establish the teleportation circle that connects the two continents, we can create an embassy to improve the relationship.
"This also means this continent will have an embassy on our continent as well. Their job is to screen out the people who want to enter this continent. Since the teleportation circles aren’t connected between the two nations, it means each of them will have one embassy.
"The trade between two continents will be crazy..." Nathan could imagine a lot of things that could happen.
Flora felt helpless. There were simply too many things that needed to be considered, but her instinct was telling her it would be more beneficial to establish it.
Nathan, on the other hand, just followed the way of the world from the Earth.
He couldn’t give them the details, but his women were simply so talented that they could come up with the details as long as he pointed them in the right direction.
"Well, you can consider it first and just tell your father about it before we go to another world. What do you think?"
Flora nodded in agreement. "Sure. That works."
"Anyway, are you done with your training?"
"I’m resting right now. Rest is important too."
"I know. We don’t know when the enemy will come. How is everyone’s progress, though?"
"Apparently, Noelle managed to form her divine rule. The crystal fusion took too much of her time, so it was good to have her finished before the fight."
"Alavenya?"
"Alavenya might need a bit more time, but she’s very close. She’s a bit frustrated because she will be the last one and most likely the only one who can’t form one before the invasion."
"Really?"
Nathan once predicted that Noelle would be the second one to form her divine rule. Meanwhile, Flora would be the last one because she didn’t want to cause a clash between her divine rule and her identity as a princess.
Yet, it turned out that Sera was able to form her divine rule quickly. Flora followed right after, leaving Alavenya and Noelle.
Noelle worked extremely hard and finally achieved it, which meant only Alavenya remained.
Iris was in the special category, but she focused her training with her new familiar, so the divine rule was still a secondary objective for her.
In the end, Iris knew that she might get left behind for a while until her divine body formed.
This way, Iris could protect this world for a bit. Once she was able to leave this world, she could give Nathan a status report regarding this world.
It was a promise she had made to Nathan.
Nathan crossed his arms. Since Alavenya had yet to form her divine rule, Nathan had to adjust his plan slightly.
"Right now, I personally can take on fifty elite class aliens. My strength is enough to stop ten elite class aliens by myself. My familiars are strong enough to take on the same number of enemies. Xolotl, Garuda, and Tiamat can even take on more.
"However, this number needs to be reconsidered due to the number of lower-level aliens. They’re going to be annoying, so I intentionally give you a lower number.
"How about you, Flora?"
Flora looked down. "Each of my familiars can only take on one each. I only have ancient spirits, so they’re not enough to take on multiple ones. I’m the only one who can take on multiple enemies, but I don’t think I can handle more than five. Besides, my abilities are focused on a large area. It will be more effective if I take down the lower-level aliens, allowing you guys to focus on the elite class aliens."
"Well, the girls have some true gods with them. I believe they can achieve more. But theoretically speaking, our group should have no problem fighting three hundred elite class aliens head-on."
Flora agreed. "So, you want the two countries to buy time for the remaining two hundred?"
Nathan narrowed his eyes. "Not exactly. I’m planning to have them lure out the lower-level aliens first by using the fortresses. Then, we will sweep in.
"In the worst-case scenario, I will overexert myself a bit and stop two hundred to three hundred elite class aliens by myself. I won’t be able to defeat them... I might even become their punching bag. But during that time, you girls will be able to defeat the others and help me afterwards."
Flora looked down, contemplating. "Do we have any other choices?"
"I don’t think so. I’m more worried about the remaining aliens on Gratzel."
"Ah!" Flora almost forgot they originally had to fight a thousand elite class aliens.
However, their hope seemed to have come.
Suddenly, a fluctuation of energy shook the area.
"!!!" Nathan and Flora had a divine rule, so they could sense it directly. This energy contained a power of rule beyond theirs.
And there were only two people who could achieve it. They were Luna and Evelyn, but only Luna was close enough to have a breakthrough.
In other words, Luna had formed her third rule.
Nathan couldn’t help but smile, while Flora was amazed.
But Regina actually knocked on the door and opened it without waiting for their reply.
"Nathan. We’ve got a situation here! The aliens might be coming!"
"..." Nathan’s eyebrows twitched. "Can I have good news without bad news accompanying it?"
