Chapter 1554: Earth’s Origin
Chapter 1554: Earth’s Origin
“Memory of the Dead.”
It was a fitting name. An item that could trace back the death energy and recreate the scene before its death.
This item must be condensed by so much divinity. It was clear without checking.
No wonder Hela even asked Elysion’s permission first.
“…” Nathan’s expression turned solemn. This was practically a divine item for the next trip.
Nathan looked at Hela with a serious expression. Even with this gift, he couldn’t summon Fenrir. A promise was never meant to be broken.
Hela smiled. “My role ends here. You must understand that one’s death is fated. No matter how hard you try to escape death, you will fail.
“Even if you are the ruler of the dead, you won’t be able to escape your doom. There is no such thing as a true immortal in this world. Even if you can outlive the universe, it will just be a matter of time until you die at an old age.
“That is true for you, that is true for me… that is also true for your enemy.”
“!!!” Thanks to the last part, he understood that the message was meant for Azathoth.
There was no such thing as immortality. Azathoth could be defeated in one way or another.
However, that didn’t mean there would be no consequences. The aliens might have a plan on how to defeat Azathoth, so he might have to figure out a way to defeat Yog-Sothoth and mitigate the damage from the death of Azathoth.
Hela raised her hand, forming a flower. “I don’t know what kind of burden you are carrying, but know the fact that you are not alone. Sometimes, it’s impossible if you are alone.
“Sometimes, the darkness has completely enveloped you to the point where you don’t even realize the answer is actually hovering above you.”
Nathan took a deep breath. The situation might look hopeless, but thanks to this crystal, they might still have a chance. Once they were done, they had to go to the alien world right away so that the black cell didn’t send an Outer God to their location.
“Your death…” Hela paused for a moment. The original Nathan had died, but from the way she said it, she must be implying Nathan Reckmoon’s death on Earth. “…is the reason why those beings can be summoned in this world.
“Originally, only those who fought in the Great War would end up dying and leaving their trace around this world. However, thanks to your death, the rest of the fragment could be transferred to this place.
“In other words, the reason there were not many great beings in this world was simply because this world didn’t have their information.”
Nathan was taken aback. “But there are Lilith or even Asmodeus.”
“In that case, they must be the sacrifices used to fuel the world’s escape. I wasn’t there when they made an agreement, but I was there to protect the plan.”
“!!!”
Garuda had fought alongside his masters on another battlefield, while Xolotl was one of the sacrifices. It looked like Hela was one of the key people who knew about the content of the great escape.
“As a result of that plan, the world was torn apart.” Hela raised her hand, forming a big black ball. “Originally, our world was where many warriors were born.
“Due to that plan, the world was destroyed.” Hela showed that the big ball shattered into pieces, resulting in two small balls.
Just by seeing these two balls, he understood what Hela was trying to say. “The Earth and the Moon.”
“Correct.” Hela divided them into three. The last one was actually the remnant of the bigger world. “Earth was originally a great planet that could produce multiple divine realms. They were just slightly worse compared to their world.
“Due to those broken parts, the Earth couldn’t even produce any more energy. They could only leave behind the legacy in another form.”
“Story… mythologies.”
“That’s right.” Hela paused for a moment. “But without this energy, the black cell wouldn’t sense any threat from Earth, making it basically invisible.
“In other words, you couldn’t teleport to another world from Earth. You could only be called from another world due to the lack of energy from Earth.
“That’s the method of your summoning.”
“So, the truck is a myth?” Nathan gasped.
“Truck?” Hela frowned.
“Please don’t mind me.” Nathan waved his hand. “I just couldn’t help it.”
“Well…” Hela sighed. “In any case, when you were summoned to this world, you carried the information from our original world, Terra. Thanks to you, your people could summon those beings.
“However, the old gods might have been preparing for their escape, but it wasn’t like they left their future generations with nothing.
“Those broken pieces…” Hela pushed away the two fragments and highlighted the broken fragments. “These fragments might be useful to you.”
“Fragments? Where are they?” Nathan asked.
“I don’t know.” Hela shook her head helplessly. “You have no choice but to find those fragments yourself. It might have been absorbed into other worlds or still lingering in outer space.”
“What is their function?”
“Unfortunately. I was not a part of that meeting, so I couldn’t learn the details.” Hela shook her head helplessly. “If you could summon our father, you could probably get an answer.”
“…” Nathan smiled wryly. Summoning Loki? They would probably be tricked by him in the future.
The best option was to summon the gods who attended the meeting.
“Well, I have told you everything I know. Don’t just focus on the alien world. You may want to visit another world to enhance your power. Integrate their power into your own, and you may find yourself much stronger.”
Nathan remembered Cthulhu mentioning other worlds. The aliens had sent their agents to a few more worlds. Cthulhu just happened to be assigned to his world.
But this showed that the aliens also pinned their hopes on those worlds.
It might be good to visit them to know about their power and, if possible, integrate their power.
This meant entering the portal to the alien world was just the start. Once they entered, they needed to get stronger first before facing Azathoth.
So, they had to visit other worlds.
Nathan nodded. “Thank you.”
