Chapter 1555: Go Home?
Chapter 1555: Go Home?
Since Hela had stepped back, the rest could finally become more relaxed. They were still on high alert because another outburst could happen, but they could finally talk to one another.
Anubis and Osiris immediately approached each other. To keep Hela in check, Xolotl and Garuda chose to talk to her instead. Then again, it was also another way for them to figure out things they might not have known before.
After all, among the four death gods, King Yama and Osiris alone possessed godhood. They had yet to become true gods.
Still, the fact that Elysion could actually summon two true gods alone was astonishing. It was no wonder that this person was known to be the strongest summoner on this continent. No, he might actually be the strongest person in the world.
That was why Nathan asked, “With this kind of power, why haven’t you done anything? I am not going to tell you about morals or what is right. But I’m talking about the survival of this world.
“If you haven’t done anything and the world is destroyed, you are going to die as well.”
Evelyn and Luna were listening closely. That was a good question. With his strength, he could probably tip the balance.
They didn’t know about his true strength or when he got all this strength, but they knew that Elysion Aquamoon was stronger than anyone else.
With his power, he could probably easily overpower the aliens. Even an alpha class alien would probably not be his match.
Elysion Aquamoon shook his head. “It’s not the time yet. The answer lies within that book.”
Nathan looked down. The diary. He mentioned it had some records about the original Nathan’s journey, but he didn’t know how much he wrote down. After all, the book itself was pretty thin.
“Once the time comes, I will definitely leave this world.”
“Leave this world…” Nathan squinted his eyes. He became even more curious about this book. Did it contain any information about other worlds? Had they actually left this world before?
It looked like to figure out the whole situation, he really needed to look at this book first.
Still, since they were currently here, it was a good time to ask other questions first.
“In that case, let me change my question. How much do you know about your previous life? Judging from your words, it’s not like you have lived more than twice, right?”
“Indeed.”
Nathan contemplated. “In that case, what do you think of him?”
“Him?” Elysion squinted his eyes. His gaze soon turned melancholic. There was a trace of unbearable sadness and pain on his face. “I don’t know how to describe him. He can be the most selfless person in this world, he can be the most desperate person.
“But if I have to say one word that can describe him. It will be despair. I have never seen anyone who has fallen into the abyss deeper than him.”
“Despair…” Nathan muttered while furrowing his eyebrows. It was a word that he expected after hearing what he had mentioned previously.
He didn’t know what was going on yet, but he might have given up because of something.
’Was it Yog-Sothoth? Was it Azathoth? Or was it the black cell?’ Nathan thought these three were most likely the cause of his despair.
He had seen Yog-Sothoth in that dream. Just thinking about it would send chills down his spine. The sheer presence of Yog-Sothoth made him understand that they were nothing but ants in front of these Outer Gods.
Even a true god like Cronos had no chance of fighting this Outer God.
“I see…” Nathan closed his eyes for a moment. “In that case, I will have to read this book first.”
“Yes. You should. If you still have any questions for me after reading that book, feel free to ask.”
Nathan nodded with a serious expression.
“Before that, I have a few questions for you.” Elysion was the one who asked this time. “I’m rather curious about another world. Is it scary?”
It looked like Elysion had never gone to another world in his previous life.
Nathan shook his head. “It’s not. You probably won’t think it’s scary, but my world might not be as glamorous as you think.”
Elysion paused for a moment. He only knew Earth from his familiars, so he didn’t know about present-day Earth.
“Then, how about the aliens? How about those divine beings? How do you have that information?”
“In my world, you could search for everything from home. You may not be able to imagine it, but you can think of it as a library that can be accessed by anyone and anywhere.
“And it is not just one giant library that contains all the knowledge in the world. There are many libraries, smaller ones, that contain specific information.
“I know all of them because I have browsed those libraries. And it looks like the aliens have also inserted their own existence through a person.
“They plant that information so that the person can write down the information about them.
“I don’t know the reason, but it might be for me.” Nathan shook his head.
“I see. One true library that contains a codex that stores all information in the world…” Elysion nodded in understanding.
It was a rather crude description, but Nathan didn’t correct him. That was probably how this world interpreted the Internet. Obviously, the library he was talking about was definitely that jigsaw globe.
Evelyn and Luna definitely couldn’t believe that everyone could have access to this kind of library. But after listening to Nathan about his world, they knew that such a thing might not be impossible.
“Is that all?” Nathan asked.
Elysion paused for a moment, but he raised one finger as if he wasn’t done. He looked rather hesitant to ask the next question.
Nathan knew that this next question might be the main question.
“Suppose you could return to your world, would you go back home?”
“!!!”
