Chapter 145: Your Death, Personified
Chapter 145: Your Death, Personified
“Kehehe!”
“KAKAKAKA!”
Two mouths appeared on Yoribu’s stomach to laugh in mockery at her struggles. And steadily, her body began to morph under the influence unleashed by two Depraved Humans.
Steadily, her strength increased, but her control over her body slipped. And something fundamental in her body began to change too, for under the influence of two Depraved Humans, her resistance was no longer able to do anything.
“Everyone…” Yoribu struggled for as long as she could, until she came to terms with reality and eyed everyone in the region with pleading eyes, “Please, run away!”
Boom!
A crimson beam landed on her, absolutely pulverising her body. Five flashes of grey appeared to defend the crimson beam, keeping her safe.
“Where’s your relaxed demeanour, huh?” One of the grey streaks paused to reveal a Depraved Human, who cackled in mockery, “Didn’t you behave as if the world operated under your feet?”
“Why aren’t you arrogant anymore, Virala?”
The crimson beam stopped as the figure of Virala landed on the water two kilometres away from Yoribu. He observed the struggling other party, and for a moment, his eyes grew moist in seeing her despair.
“Again, it’s happening…” There was a sigh as he stared at the skies and observed the peacock shaped by the aurora had become pretty defined by now.
“I don’t have a choice, huh?” Slowly, he raised his right arm, poised it to the sky, and unleashed a thick, crimson beam of light, almost a hundred metres in diameter. It beamed with as much power as possible, plummeting his figure straight into the depths of the sea until he slammed right into the seabed.
The crimson beam lasted for a good twenty seconds, following which Virala resurfaced and landed on the water surface, bearing shoes that shone violet and gently pushed the waves to the side and helped prop his body up on the water.
Without hesitation, he created a clone with a Tratham tool in the shape of a stamp attached to its rear. The clone was of his fist, having enough power in itself to maintain its action for two seconds.
The Prana reserves in it were funnelled into the Tratham stamp, which unleashed a crimson radiance amidst bursts of blood to create thrust, allowing the fist to take flight.
The fist took flight, propelling itself for two whole seconds, until it ran out of power and plummeted to the water with a soft plop. Two seconds earlier, Virala still had an air of arrogance in his being.
But the moment the fist plopped into the water, his expression morphed, causing him to look around in a fluster, “Are you here?”
“Where are you?” He scoured the place in fluster, “Dude, don’t make fun of me. This is a serious situation…”
“Inala!”
“The Royal Zinger’s on sabbatical!” One of the Depraved Humans cackled aloud, taking pleasure at the sight of Virala’s morphing facial expressions, “OH! I love that!”
“No longer arrogant, are we?” He continued, “Also,”
“Your daughter won’t be making it here on time either.” He pulled his lips until they stretched to his ears, following which his tongue dangled out like a serpent, “I don’t know what has been planned for her.”
“But she’ll be suffering a horrid death.”
“And you…” Another Depraved Human mocked, “Your death will be absolutely pitiful.”
“There won’t be anyone to witness your death.” As he spoke, the struggles within Yoribu seemed to have fully subsided. As for the two Depraved Humans in her stomach? They allowed themselves to be digested once they had served their purpose, leaving behind 6 Quills that synchronised and influenced her completely, “So, I present to you,”
“Your Death, Personified!” He uttered and stepped to the side, making a mild bow towards the figure of Yoribu that seemed no different to before.
That was, until she opened her mouth and perched a cry akin to a bird, and manifested a crown of feathers behind her, like a peacock, formed of six stacked layers in total, which all revealed themselves as a series of steps scaling up to the sky.
The two Depraved Humans only served to make her susceptible for change and targeted her Secondary Body, making it, for a moment, separated from the resistance of a Mystic Human.
In that moment, its dilution was undone, concentrating its essence as much as possible thanks to the endless reserve of Prana and nutrients funnelling into her being thanks to her digestion of the two Depraved Humans.
And that, rapidly accelerated her Secondary Body’s growth, allowing it to reach its true, undiluted powers.
Beginner Mystic Grade Pranic Beast–Empyrean Boar King!
It was what her Secondary Body had changed into, and the changes had been done in a fashion by the Depraved Humans that made Yoribu extremely susceptible to Quill influence.
Her body instinctively treated the Quills as part of its body, and not an external counterpart. There was a possibility that Yoribu could still recover her original sense of self over time, as the longer she lived, the stronger her resistance grew.
The Quills would eventually lose control over her, unless more of them were added to her body. After all, they truly weren’t a part of her body, and it was just a matter of time before Yoribu’s body figured that out too.
However, long before that point, she would have already achieved the objective with which she had been created.
She took a step forward, and the sea water rippled under her feet. A second step, and the aurora in the sky promptly transformed into a peacock to glare down upon Virala.
“The two of us are now in the same realm of existence!” Yoribu exclaimed as she extended a hand towards Virala, poised for battle, “But only for a short duration.”
“For you’ll no longer be alive in the near future.” By now, she had already reached the 3-Life Stage and was steadily maturing her third body. Thanks to the Quill’s effects, she was rapidly climbing through the Life Stage, all while Virala was only at the 2-Life Stage.
In a head-on battle, Virala had an advantage at the same cultivation level. However, not only did Yoribu’s cultivation dwarf the other party, she also had the assistance of five Depraved Humans.
“You have reached the peak, right?” Yoribu chuckled upon seeing Virala’s silence, “Want to see mine?”
She waved her hand, commanding the Depraved Humans, “Erase the spectators.”
“I’ll be dancing with the main dish until then.” As she spoke, her three Natures began to synchronise. And then, against Virala’s stunned gaze, both Yoribu and the five Depraved Humans unleashed it at the same time, the level only the best of cultivators on the top of Sumatra could unleash.
State of Harmony!
