Chapter 108: Making A New Spirit Pool

Chapter 108: Making A New Spirit Pool

Torq set his sights on his original cultivation technique–Mystic Ravaged Art!

’Its primary function is to allow a creature with multiple genetic material forming it to exist as a living being. The strain resulting from the combination of multiple genetic material causes a creature to die. This eases the process to the extent it’s possible to live.’ He went through the technique’s function, ’Theoretically, if I were to consume a Bludder while using Mystic Ravaged Art, the bludder’s genetics will latch onto my genetics.’

’It will corrupt me as a Cooter Clansman, but I will survive the process.’ Approaching this point, he focused on the cultivation technique, went through the furball’s memories and then activated it, “Based on the memories, he was going for the perfect build. That’s why he never used it.”

“But, it is a cheat that elevates an incomplete build towards perfection eventually.” He felt the 1200 units of Prana from his original body deplete steadily as a tiny droplet formed on the palms of his finger.

“Orignally, it was Gold Ravaged Art.” He uttered, “And in the original timeline, it seems the furball focused on developing this cultivation technique to the limit.”

“And upon becoming Mystic Ravaged Art, it gained this function.” Eyeing the droplet that had appeared on his hand, Torq chuckled, “The substance that makes mixing of different genetic strands realistic for attaining better powers,”

“The Nectar!”

After emptying the storage lantern, he placed the droplet of Nectar inside. With the Narlakk Pet’s aid, he began quickly recovering his original body’s Prana capacity.

Torq approached a shelf in the corner of the cabin, where vials upon vials of medicines had been stored. This had been prepared to satisfy the consumption needs of the 20 Maintenance Crew members for the entirety of the Raid.

18 of them had died. Inin was presently in his mission, having taken a small portion of the medicines necessary for the mission.

There was a jar placed on the shelf. Within it was water, serving as an Information Slip maintaining logs of every vial that had been taken out and distributed among the members. Inin was responsible for this task.

And only he had the means to open the shelf. Of course, with the Narlakk Pet’s aid, Torq brute forced open the shelf and gained access to all the medicines.

He grabbed as many of them as he could and first created a large tub using Gentle Coral. This would serve as the container for his Spirit Pool.

’I neither have the expertise nor the skill level to perform a task this complex.’ Torq grinned and patted his clothes, “However, I have this.”

He downed medicines and began creating Information Slips one after another to feed the Narlakk Pet, giving it the vast amount of information the furball had collected.

With a Gold Grade mind, the Narlakk would be able to rapidly process through the information and attain a level of skill vastly superior to his own. ’That would be enough for the task at hand.’

“I can always improve the result in the future, once I improve my skill level.” Once his main body recovered its Prana, he condensed a second droplet and placed it within the storage lantern.

“The storage lantern is created by refining the tusk of an Empyrean Tusk. It’s literally the toughest material on Sumatra.” He uttered, ’The Cooter Clan’s way of life and their values prevent them from ever doing something like this.’

“But I’ll happily bastardize it all.” He laughed and placed a third droplet of Nectar in the storage lantern. “The powdered form of this tusk is what the Mammoth Clansmen use to build their bodies.”

“I can probably create a Spirit Pool out of it. But I’ll need an Empyrean Snapper’s assistance to swap out my existing Spirit Pool. And it needs to be ranked in the single digits. Runthral’s skill is insufficient.” He thought, “So, what I need to do is to continuebuilding my existing body.”

Once he had secreted 10 droplets of Nectar, Torq patted the Narlakk Pet and commanded it, “Take action.”

He granted it enough autonomy so that the Narlakk Pet could harness all its physical and mental capabilities for the task at hand, without him stressing himself. All he needed to focus on was to give it commands from time to time.

“I’m like a manager. All I should worry about is making decent enough ideas.” He chuckled and patted his robe, “And this is my extremely talented genius worker that will break its back to make my wishes a reality.”

“This is how I can overcome my lack of skill and expertise.” As he stood still, the Narlakk Pet turned the 10 droplets of Nectar into a Spirit Weapon using Mystic Mist Art.

And then, through psychokinesis, it used the Nectar to grind into the storage lantern with the intent to absorb as much of its genetic information as possible into it.

A day later, Torq woke up and yawned, watching the storage lantern become unusable and lie at a corner of the tub. The Narlakk Pet had been working nonstop and had succeeded in creating a tiny pool of liquid that had fully absorbed the properties of the storage lantern.

It now had the genetic material of an Empyrean Tusk. And the Narlakk Pet had been refining it with the intent to turn it into a Spirit Pool.

Basically, any mineral, when turned into a liquid state where it had a sufficient level of compatibility with Mystic Mist Art, could be treated as a Spirit Pool, and built into a Cooter Clansman’s Spirit Pool.

A mineral was a substance capable of interacting with Prana, which is used by Free Humans to build their Human Avatars in their Spirit Containers.

The mineral forming the tusk of an Empyrean Tusk was called Tusk Bone Powder. It was a Gold Grade mineral with the properties of weight, space, and inertia. Different levels of its properties could be harnessed based on the cultivation technique used to build a Human Avatar.

The fluid substance refined by the Narlakk Pet had minimal compatibility with Mystic Mist Art. It wasn’t up to mark. But that didn’t matter, as the process hadn’t ended yet.

The Tusk Bone Powder’s properties were turned into a fluid form using the Nectar. “Now, toss it.”

The Narlakk Pet extracted all the cores from its body, save for the one containing its Spirit Container. These cores mixed into the fluid, which turned into a vortex and ground the cores into powder.

The mixture kept mixing nonstop as the Nectar slowly bound the genetic information of an Empyrean Tusk to a Narlakk. The Narlakk could assume the physical characteristics of a Pranic Beast by consuming pollen generated from the target’s fat reserves.

Its genetics served as a bridge to fully bind the Empyrean Tusk’s characteristics in the Tusk Bone Powder to the characteristics it currently exhibited–Mystic Mist Art.

This addition only served to make the Tusk Bone Powder’s properties in fluid form become as compatible as possible to Mystic Mist Art. This shouldn’t have been possible normally, due to incompatibility between the two different races–Empyrean Tusk and Empyrean Snapper.

However, even though the result drastically lowered the Spirit Pool’s Grade, Torq wasn’t concerned, since he succeeded in creating something that sharply increased his chances for survival.

A Silver Grade Spirit Pool!
