Sumatra's Greatest Fan

Chapter 106: Sumatra’s Call

Chapter 106: Sumatra’s Call

It was a humanoid giant, reaching a height of 50 metres as it cracked through the island like it was an egg shell. From afar, this was all Torq could witness, before his boat moved past the horizon.

His facial muscles dribbled the sweat racing down his cheeks, for they were trembling so hard out of sheer fear. ’I’ve barely started my life here and there’s already such a monster out there, in scary proximity.’

He eyed the rest of his team, who seemed to be oblivious to the fact of the island’s destruction and only hoped to reach the Battleships as soon as possible.

His Narlakk Pet was constantly sending pollen into his body, using a portion as a medicine to replenish his Prana reserves constantly, aiding him in charging up a needle.

The rest were absorbing his characteristics, which the Narlakk Pet consumed shortly after. This was how it could keep maintaining its physical characteristic of Mystic Mist Art.

At the moment, it would help Torq the most in terms of survival. However, even with a Gold Grade Pranic on his side, Torq wasn’t feeling safe. ’Based on the furball’s memories, this region collapsed. That means the enemy will be powerful enough to destroy the Dralh Sea’s strongest expert.’

And that was Virala, founder of the Mystic Human race, and an individual with Mystic Grade strength.

The Mystic Humans did have the prefix of Mystic before their name. However, they were only Gold Grade existences, for their Primary Nature, Astral Weaponiser, was a Gold Grade Nature.

They had the prefix of Mystic, because if they attain the bodies of two powerful Gold Grade Pranic Beasts, their total Prana capacity will exceed the limits of Expert Gold Grade and enter the realm of the pinnacle existence.

Even though they didn’t become a pinnacle existence, they had planted their face at the entrance. That was why they had the prefix of Mystic.

’Virala is powerful enough to go toe-to-toe against the strongest existences. If even he can be killed…’ Torq wasn’t in the slightest bit confident in his survival, unless he were to rapidly improve his existing strength.

’The feathery bastard has prepared eight in total. One of them was supposed to be my vessel. Since Bitala is dead, there’s only seven left.’ Torq thought, ’Maybe that’s a silver lining in this shit.’

There was one less terrifying opponent to worry about.

’I need to buy some time.’ Thinking as such, Torq funnelled his Narlakk Pet’s pollen into the bodies of his team members. The members were still sucking out their fat deposits at regular intervals.

Unlike at the Battleships where the Settlement Leaders burnt off the extracted fat deposits, the team members didn’t have suitable means to properly destroy them. But to conserve time, they simply dumped the deposits into the water.

All that promptly turned into pollen and gathered as a large cloud behind them. The Narlakk Pet was using psychokinesis to move the pollen cloud forward. It was basically an endless stream of Prana to consume.

Torq was charging up the needle at the moment, since he had used the day’s slot for the Narlakk Pet. Only after the day ended and a new day begins is when he could begin charging up the Mystic Human Pet.

’I made close to 4000 Parute Fruits thanks to Tarah.’ He began to tally his gains. For every little info he taught her, he was given anywhere from ten to twenty Parute Fruits. And then, there was the final transaction.

Slowly, his Prana flowed into the storage lantern as he heaved a sigh in relief, ’Thankfully, she has already removed her imprint on it.’

When Torq used a sphere of water as a Spirit Weapon, he had to first form an imprint in it first. This imprint was the influence generated from his Prana, ensuring his psychokinesis recognises the sphere of water as the source to propel according to his needs.

A stream of Prana flows out of the cultivator, fueling psychokinesis that makes contact with an object and controls it as a Spirit Weapon. If the stream of Prana gets cut, the Spirit Weapon’s motion gets impeded.

Generally, most cultivators are able to curve the stream of Prana around obstacles and ensure they could keep controlling their Spirit Weapon. It was a matter of skill, which meant life and death on Sumatra.

It was why, the first thing Torq did after appearing on Sumatra was to practice his control on a Spirit Weapon. Not just in moving it across complicated paths, he was also getting accustomed to curving the stream of Prana where necessary.

’The principles related to it closely follow what the Cooter Clansmen do in regards with Mystic Mist Art. So, one training allowed me to grasp two techniques.’ As he pondered, his Prana finished forming an imprint on the storage lantern.

Now, it was recognised as his Spirit Weapon. Torq eyed the storage lantern hidden in his sleeves in awe, ’A universal Spirit Weapon…The Mammoth Clan was already ahead of the rest from the very beginning, before existences like Inala appeared amongst them and elevated their power exponentially.’

“Report!” Soon, the boat arrived before the five Battleships as Fanfan shouted before jumping onto the deck of the Central Peak Battleship. “There is nothing unusual. We’ve discovered and erased countless Nirclicks.”

While Fanfan made the report alongside submitting an Information Slip as proof, Torq and the rest of the team stayed behind on the boat.

’More and more of them are coming.’ Torq surveyed the region and observed teams similar to his, in charge of the transport of goods and information, all looking normal. ’None of them seem to have lost any members.’

’So, I guess things have played out similarly to what I had witnessed.’ Right after Fanfan obtained a report from an island and proceeded towards the five Battleships, is when the respective island was struck by the enemy, unbeknownst to him.

This meant, even though he had reported things were completely normal, the respective island had already been wiped off the map, ’They are using our information network against us.’

Now, the Raid Teams were completely oblivious to the reality of the situation. Until they send teams to the respective islands once again, they wouldn’t figure out the situation, ’But I’m damn sure we’ll be killed en route.’

The enemy had bought time for their plan, increasing the duration in which they kept the Cooter Clan and the Mystic Humans in the dark. ’We shouldn’t set sail anymore.’

’Definitely not now!’ Torq thought and released his Narlakk Pet’s pollen, ’This might traumatise me a bit, but it’s better than dying a dog’s death.’

The Narlakk Pet’s pollen reacted with the gut of the team members and made them experience diarrhoea. For an instant, the moment they felt such a reaction, all team members made eye contact with each other.

“Shit!” Without hesitation, they sprang out from their boats and rushed towards their respective cabins on the Battleships.

“Where the heck are you guys going?” Fanfan shouted upon seeing their scurrying figures.

“Sumatra’s call!” One of them shouted and truly exploded with genius levels of speed.

Torq too used the chance to enter the Trailing Waves Battleship and arrived at the empty cabin meant for Inin’s Maintenance Crew team. Obviously, he didn’t have diarrhoea, just acted like he did.

Thud!

The storage lantern made a dull thud as it reverted to its original size. Opening its door, Torq pulled out the Parute Fruits, ’I need to hurry, before they strike here.’
