Chapter 1140: Vion, The Earth Fairy

Jason saw all the lights clear out to reveal the tiny little creatures that were floating around with wide smiles on their faces!

The fairies were just like beautiful women with dark skin and many different coloured hair! They had brown leaves around their hips and chest, and they were so tiny that Jason couldn’t help but think they were unbelievably cute! They reminded Jason of Ulyn, Gina’s little familiar, and Jason sent a mental message to Gina telling her about the little creatures. Gina laughed when she heard about them, and Gina told Jason that Ulyn said Jason should ask about the fairy called Vion. Vion owed Ulyn a favour, so Vion would help them for free if they said Ulyn sent them!

Jason thanked Gina for that, and he turned to Stella and Valeria.

"Follow my lead. There’s someone we need to find."

There was a line of mercenaries waiting to be allowed into the cave, but Stella and Valeria were surprised when Jason went past all the mercenaries and went into the cave entrance! The little lights floating around immediately swarmed Jason and began to make buzzing little sounds as they tried to tell him to leave the cave and get back in line! Neither Stella nor Valeria could tell what was being said, but Jason could see and understand them, and he spoke to one of them while looking her right in the eyes.

"I want to see Vion."

The little fairy was so shocked when Jason looked into her eyes that she jolted back with a gasp! The fairy looked closer at Jason and slowly floated close to him while waving her hand, and when Jason waved back, the fairy screamed!

"He can see us! It’s a spirit user!"

The other fairies around were stunned, and many of them swarmed around Jason as they began rambling at him in loud voices! Jason couldn’t even get a single word in over their excited rambling, and both Stella and Valeria were just watching in confusion as the many tiny lights circled around Jason while buzzing excitedly!

"Okay, ladies. That’s enough. Get out of here."

A more mature voice came from inside the cave, and all the little fairies immediately scattered when they saw their elder coming through! The fairy that appeared looked older than the other fairies, but she was wearing the same leaf mini skirt and crop top combo. She had her red hair tied in a bun, and her dark skin looked like she had been under the sun for days! The fairy gave Jason a curious look before speaking:

"My name is Vion. I heard you were looking for me. This had better be for something important. If you’re trying to get me to take you across for free, then you can forget about it!"

Vion had a scowl on her face as she said this! There had been many spirit users in the past who thought that just because they could see spirits, they were entitled to cross the pathway without paying their mana stone fee! That was just foolishness! What was the point of having a business if you’ll give everyone that speaks your language a free service every time!? That would just make you go bankrupt!

Vion was already prepared to throw Jason out if he asked for any free services, but Vion was shocked when she heard what Jason said!

"I was sent by Ulyn. She said you owed her a favour."

Vion’s eyes widened in shock before her cheeks reddened in annoyance! That idiot Ulyn! Why would she tell other people about the favour that she owed her!? Fairies were all very prideful beings, so the fact that Jason knew Vion was owing a favour was very embarrassing for the little fairy! Vion couldn’t even look Jason in the eye right now without feeling shame!

"D-Did Ulyn tell you why I owe her that favour?"

Vion had a slightly hopeful look on her face as she asked this, and Jason shook his head.

"No, she didn’t. She just said it had something to do with the last time you were sent to Harken."

"I-I see. Well, that’s good! Yes, that’s good. Alright, I suppose you’ve made your point. Come along then."

The little fairy turned around and began flying deeper into the cave, and Jason turned to Stella and Valeria to tell them to come with him. Stella looked at her master with a wide smile and asked him how he did that!

"You can see the little fairies, master?"

Jason hummed and nodded, and even Valeria was surprised by this! Valeria knew that as an Avaran it was possible to learn many different types of skills and spells easily, but those powers were limited only to magic! In order to learn spirit arts or Qi, an Avaran would have to actually put in the work and learn it like any other regular mage! So the fact that Jason could understand the fairies made Valeria think that Jason must have put in a lot of work to learn the spirit arts! If Valeria actually knew that it was just the system helping Jason to understand all those things easily, then she would’ve been even more shocked, but Jason didn’t bother telling her any of that, and he just waved for them to follow him as they began following the little fairy, Vion, deeper into the cave.

The inside of the cave was extremely dark, with no light at all leaking in from the outside. Jason, Stella, and Valeria were able to see just fine since they had their super sights, but most mages or regular people would have to rely on only the light being shown by the little fairy to know where they were going. They walked for about ten minutes before they finally got to an exit on the opposite side of the tunnel. As they walked, Vion spoke up in a pompous tone.

"Now, this path is usually reserved for the VIP’s, and I’m only taking you here because of what I owe Ulyn. But I’m only going to do this once, and you’re going to make sure you don’t tell anyone about it! Do you understand!? And you better let Ulyn know that I don’t owe her any favours anymore!"

Jason was the only one who could hear the little fairy, so he simply nodded with an amused smile. Jason had no idea what form of favour Ulyn must’ve done for Vion, but it had to be something serious if she was this worked up about it! Vion huffed once she saw Jason nod, and she turned and continued heading out of the cave. As they approached the exit, Jason saw an iridescent kaleidoscope of colours flashing through the opening, and Jason narrowed his eyes slightly as he wondered what the hell they were about to walk out into! Jason glanced to the side and saw that Valeria was also a little confused. Although Valeria had gone through this route many times in the past, she had never used this particular path, so it must be completely new to her as well!

Jason finally stepped out of the cave, and he was stunned by what he saw! The trees were glowing! There was a pathway marked out by a line of trees growing on either side of the path, and the trees were literally glowing with pure spirit energy! Jason could feel the Qi in his body vibrating in sync with the spirit energy, and it felt like Jason was standing in the middle of the purest form of nature he had ever felt!

’If I meditate here, my training will go up by several leaps all at once!’
