Chapter 1094: The Celestial of Death
"It’s nice to know my rudeness turns you on so much."
Jason joked lightly, and Agiel realised that this joke was an opportunity to slowly get back into the conversation without feeling embarrassed, and she was immediately grateful for it! Agiel laughed as well, and she shook her head.
"It’s not just your rudeness, Jason. It’s everything. I love everything about you."
Agiel spoke in such a kind, sincere voice that Jason actually found himself smiling softly in return, and he said:
"You’re not so bad yourself, Agiel."
Agiel suddenly pulled back when she heard this, and Jason turned curiously when he saw the happy smile on her face! Jason wondered what was making Agiel so giddy, and Agiel just let out a cute sound of excitement! Usually, whenever Agiel told Jason that she loved him, Jason would ignore her with a laugh or a huff, but this time, Jason had actually responded properly!
"You didn’t laugh this time! You’re finally falling in love with meee!"
A wave of pure excitement flowed through Agiel’s body as she said this, and her behaviour was so unbelievably cute that Jason couldn’t stop himself from laughing as well! Jason shook his head and spoke up calmly.
"Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. You’re still as annoying as ever."
Agiel didn’t even look like she heard what Jason said, and Agiel just kicked her legs back and forth playfully as the giddy sensation in her heart grew even more! It was obvious that Agiel was really enjoying the moment with Jason! Their conversation continued for a long time, and Jason humoured Agiel’s curiosity as she asked him about random things! As they spoke, Agiel didn’t notice that Jason had successfully distracted her from the increasing pressure all around her, and even though they had been walking for close to an hour now and they were in an area that would make most TITANs pass out from the sheer pressure pressing down on them, Agiel was smiling happily and hugging Jason close as she asked him random questions!
Jason was currently releasing his own mana and wrapping it around him and Agiel to try and negate the Celestial mana pressing down on them. But Jason was just a PRIMORDIAL, and no amount of PRIMORDIAL mana would be able to completely get rid of even ten percent of the pressure from a Celestial. Jason was negating just enough of the Celestial mana to make sure that Agiel wasn’t killed, but the pressure was still intense!
And this was how they continued until they finally reached the end of the tunnel. Jason stopped a few meters away from the end, and in front of him, he could see his first sign of light in more than twenty-four hours. The light at the end of the tunnel was dim, almost like someone had used clouds to cover up the sun, and only the barest minimum amount of light was actually coming through!
’Come on~’
The same eerie voice spoke up again, and this time both Jason and Agiel could tell that the voice was coming from somewhere beyond the tunnel! Agiel became serious, and she climbed down to her feet once she noticed that they had gotten to the end of the tunnel. Agiel stared at the light in the distance for a few long seconds before she hardened her expression and told Jason to head forward! They couldn’t solve anything by just standing around! Jason found it a little amusing that Agiel was now so eager to go towards the light when she had been terrified just a few minutes ago, but Jason didn’t bring that up, and he simply nodded before walking forward!
The area that they walked into was a magnificent dark garden filled with black roses that stretched out for miles! Up in the sky, there was a giant black ball that glowed with a dim light, rotating slowly like a moon, and Jason immediately knew that this was the Celestial Core. Was that what called them here?
"It’s like some cursed garden."
Agiel spoke up when she saw the landscape, and she looked around for a few seconds before she narrowed her eyes and pointed forward at something in the distance.
"There’s something over there."
Agiel said this with a small frown, and Jason turned to look in the direction curiously! There was a black figure standing in the middle of the large garden and shrouded in shadows, and Jason narrowed his eyes as he wondered what that was. It had a humanoid figure, but it was very small – almost like a child that had gotten lost in the garden.
’You’re here~’
The eerie voice from before echoed through the garden, and Jason immediately raised his guard as he saw the figure approaching them! The figure didn’t walk through the garden; instead, it seemed to glide over the flowers like it was floating on air, and as it approached, Jason felt his eyes widen as he finally got a good look at it! It was a little boy with midnight black skin and red eyes that glowed with a terrifying intensity! Behind the boy were millions of hair-like tendrils that stretched out from his back and flowed in every direction to vanish into the darkness, and Jason realised that those tendrils were what was responsible for creating this Cloud! This was the Celestial of Death!?
’It’s a child?’
Agiel spoke up in a curious tone when she saw the little boy, and Jason couldn’t blame her for being surprised! The boy had a smile on his face that showed off a set of dark teeth, like he was here to greet his friends, but the amount of pressure the boy was giving off at this moment made it impossible for Jason to return the smile! It felt like one wrong move here would be the end for both of them! But then a voice echoed from all around the garden!
’You finally came~’
The boy’s mouth didn’t move, but Jason could tell that he was the one who said this! Jason’s brow furrowed, and he took a step back when the little boy began to come even closer!
’I’ve been waiting for you~ What took you so long~?’
Jason watched the little boy very closely, and he tried to sense any sort of deceit in his voice, but he couldn’t sense anything at all! The little boy was actually serious! Jason let out a calming breath, and he spoke.
"Are you the Celestial of Death?"
The boy tilted his head to one side and shrugged.
’I don’t know who that is~ My name is !@#@!~’
Both Jason and Agiel groaned in pain as a scratchy, painful sound echoed through the garden and almost ruptured their eardrums! They couldn’t hear what the little boy’s name was, but just listening to the sound of the name was enough to almost destroy their minds!
"UGH~!"
Agiel groaned and pressed herself against Jason as she tried to get away from the Celestial, and Jason took another step back as he watched the boy tilt his head to the other side curiously. The boy had no idea why Jason and Agiel were groaning, and he spoke up again a few seconds later.
’Aren’t you here to play with me~?’
The boy blinked his blood-red eyes curiously while waiting for an answer, and, after neither Jason nor Agiel responded for a few seconds, the boy’s face slowly squeezed into a frown.
’Are you here to trick me like the others~?’
DOON!
The pressure in the garden suddenly rose to an unbelievable level, and Agiel immediately fell to her knees!
