Chapter 2315: Chapter 2315: The Witches’ Battle

"Riding a Unicorn... Well, thank you, Little Liana."

Shard patted the pure white small beast, which let out a soft cry, then voluntarily lay down so that Shard could straddle its back.

Once Shard settled in, the beast ran forward for a few steps in the manor courtyard, then curled up as the white wings at its sides unfolded. With a flap of its wings, they ascended into the sky, and Shard’s Illusion Technique suddenly made them vanish beneath the night sky.

East of Moon Bay City, on Pompeii Street.

The scenery under the night sky twisted with the appearance of large patches of strange colors. Then the Maze Lock shattered, and Miss Eles, flapping her dragon wings, appeared together with Miss Aphrola, who was holding a long staff inlaid with a Moonlight-colored gemstone.

The two descended together, but as the Life Ring behind the Twelfth Rank Grand Witch rotated slightly, their downward momentum suddenly weakened, making them seem like they were floating in mid-air.

In front of them, the Glimmer Giant, who also appeared after the Maze Lock shattered, although looking somewhat disheveled and with a flickering light on his body that seemed about to extinguish, did not disappear this time.

Standing in the city, his feet stomped on the street, and Miss Eles and Miss Aphrola appeared tiny like grains of rice in comparison. Of course, because this was a battle within the city, neither side had yet used declarations strong enough to directly alter the surface terrain:

"Are you the Bright Grand Witch from the Witch Council? I’ve heard of your reputation long ago and have always wanted to see the light you follow, but now it seems that so-called ’witches’ are just so-so."

As he spoke, a ball of sunlight-colored light appeared again in the palm of the Giant’s right hand.

Miss Aphrola and Miss Eles looked at the city below, gritted their teeth, and did not dodge. Instead, they raised shields together to face the attack of the wounded "Light Chaser" head-on.

Meanwhile, below this part of the eastern city’s street, covered by the Illusion Technique, while the explosive sunlight burst in the air and clashed with the two ladies, Miss Sylvia grabbed Miss Benanis’s hand and vanished from their original spot, appearing abruptly behind the Glimmer Giant through Spatial Movement.

"Power of the Earth: Call of the Statue!"

As the stone figure was thrown to the ground below by Miss Benanis, the Giant of Earth was summoned from the citizens’ square with a roar by the Witch of the Earth.

The earthen giant, from behind the Glimmer Giant, bound his neck, while Miss Aphrola, still at the Giant’s front, waved her hand and threw out a Light Orb that also shimmered with the explosive power of sunlight.

The Glimmer Giant struggled fiercely, shedding soil and rock from the Earth Giant, while clasping his hands to extinguish Miss Aphrola’s Light Orb, but then suddenly let out a wail:

"Ah~"

Miss Sylvia’s Dimensional Slash severed his right arm, then she hurriedly pulled Miss Benanis and disappeared from the shoulder of the Earth Giant.

The next moment, cracks appeared densely across the surface of the soil, and then blinding light shot through the cracks, causing the huge statue to explode entirely.

The ladies on the ground hurriedly raised their shields to block the rain of debris, while the Glimmer Giant, now waving a single arm, continued to attack Miss Aphrola and Miss Eles, who were flying around him as if swatting at flies.

Similar to the intense aerial combat, the ground battle wasn’t progressing smoothly either.

Under the command of Bella Belindel, the High Ring female sorceress followers swiftly cleared the Circle Sorcerers around the stronghold. The Volcano Club on Pompeii Street was the most important stronghold of the Light Worshipper Training Association during the Moon Bay City action. But even being the most important, there were never more than fifteen Circle Sorcerers active here daily, as this was still an urban area.

Now, when faced with an onslaught three times their number by the Witch Followers, the sorcerers guarding the stronghold were retreating step by step. If not for their ability to create that light capable of melting everything, this club would have been razed to the ground by the vengeance-driven Miss Belindel.

She did not want any harm to come to the girls she was leading, so she advanced with extreme caution.

Occasionally, the Countess would look up at the sky, watching the "Light Chaser" constantly counterattack, attack, and defend again under the restraint of other Grand Witches and Miss Eles.

It seemed the ground battle would soon conclude, with the Thirteen-Ring Sorcerers restricted by the city’s environment, not being able to devise effective countermeasures, yet the Great Witch of Destiny still felt uneasy in her heart.

The most unsettling part was the massive illusion that suddenly appeared and enveloped the area half an hour ago. She initially thought it was to prevent people in other parts of the city from seeing this, allowing the "Light Chaser" to use its Glimmer Giant transformation tactic. But within the illusion-covered area, even she could not perceive what exactly was happening outside the city.

Her intuition told her that something significant was happening outside, and the seemingly smooth assault might encounter danger at any moment.

"Still can’t send messages outside?"

The girl who hurried over from afar stopped behind Miss Belindel; the witch glanced at the nearly completely Exotic Species-filled area around the Volcano Club and asked the girl again.

The brown-haired girl spoke softly:

"No, the large-scale illusion itself confuses space. We didn’t bring any High Ring Sorcerers this time who excel in Spatial Perception."

The witch’s lips twitched slightly; she knew Shard excelled at such Arcane Techniques.

"Then let’s not worry about the city outside; with them in the manor, nothing will happen."

She looked at the exotic glimmer that couldn’t break through for a long time and the club, one-third of which had already collapsed, and raised the longsword wrapped in burlap:

"Although I’m not good at combat, I’m still an Eleventh Rank Grand Witch."

The Angel’s Right Arm was unsheathed, and the soft white light of the angelic shadow appeared behind her.

In the sky, the reborn right arm of the Glimmer Giant smashed downward, the Blue Dragon Girl as small as a grain raised her hand to meet it, astonishingly withstood the giant arm despite the hundredfold difference in size while in a floating state.

And as her roar gradually grew louder, the blue dragon’s shadow flashed past behind her, and she began to push the arm of the Glimmer Giant upward bit by bit.

Her azure eyes continued to glow, her own glimmer contending with the light on the giant’s body. Another call of "Dimensional Slash" rang out, Miss Sylvia wielding the Night Watchman, the two illusory lights slashed from the night sky once again leaving crossed sword scars on the Glimmer Giant’s chest.

Below the giant at the Volcano Club, a holy white light illuminating the darkness arose, three enormous cross sword shadows descended from the sky like tombstones, inserted into the remaining ruins of the Volcano Club.

The cross swords of light were not melted by the peculiar white light, and thus finally completely destroyed the remaining part of the Volcano Club.

The Light Chaser, noticing the unusual power, lowered his head to look at his stronghold, just in time to see the angel’s shadow swinging a sword at him.

The sword scar was initially of normal size, but as the glimmer ascended, it grew larger and larger. The Glimmer Giant reached out to block but was horrified to realize that this sword seemed unblockable from any angle:

"Power of Fate?"

The Guidance of Fate sword struck his forehead, the massive Sword Light emitted by the angel caused the giant to topple backward. That glow finally shrank in size, morphing into the humanoid form of the Light Chaser in mid-air.

He quickly stabilized himself, thick Steam Mist veiling the night sky, the complete Thirteen-Ring Life Ring floated behind the Light Chaser.

"Be careful! He’s about to use all his true power!"

The floating Light Chaser under the night sky opened his eyes, looking solemnly at the club below his feet. After confirming that the city’s vital stronghold had been destroyed by unknown Angel Power, he extended a finger pointing to the night sky.

The Thirteen-Ring Life Ring spun, each twinkling Spirit Rune seemed to resonate with the starry sky:

Core Enlightenment Spirit Rune - Summon, Miracle Soul Rune - Stars, Desecration Spirit Rune - Power—

"Magic - Falling Star."

Suddenly, the clouds in the sky dispersed, hundreds of stars sparkled in the deep night and then abruptly descended toward the ground.

The speed of the Falling Star was extremely fast, seemingly in the next second, everyone saw the densely packed semi-energized meteorites with diameters exceeding 50 feet appearing above the city.

Hundreds of bright white streaks descending originally should have been quite beautiful, but if no one intercepts them, not just the East District of Moon Bay City, even the entire terrain of Moon Bay Harbor might undergo permanent change.

"Damn it!"

Miss Aphrola, with wavy brown hair, cursed unladylike, then flew toward the high sky with Miss Sylvia and Miss Eles to intercept.

Miss Benanis descended to the ground to meet Miss Belindel, while in mid-air, the Light Chaser did not pursue the witches attempting to intercept the meteor shower but during his slow descent, he used his signature Arcane Technique on the ground:

"Light Rain Drop."

A distorted light screen appeared parallel to him in the air, followed by a dense array of white light spots dropping like rain toward the ground. This maneuver nearly shrouded half of Pompeii Street, and when the light rain gradually subsided, half of the street’s buildings had turned into densely packed beehives.

The several enormous Stone Balls rising in the center of the street helped the girls of the Witch Council block most of the light rain. When the giant shadow behind the Light Chaser smashed the Stone Ball where the two Grand Witches were located, it found nothing inside.

He frowned and looked around, as the sound of meteor explosions continuously emanating from above, just when he was about to strike at the High Ring Female Sorceresses who escaped from the Stone Ball, and force the two Grand Witches out, he suddenly felt himself becoming heavy, rapidly accelerating towards the ground:

"Gravity?"
