Chapter 2086: Demon Sword Li Hao (III)

Chaos Sky arrived ahead of the others, but he was still one step too late.

“You’re ruining your only chance of survival!” He gnashed his teeth.

Li Hao had just killed six of his eighth ranks and Yuan Shuo slapped the four surrendered envoys to death. Chaos Sky had twenty-four eighth ranks under his banner, but yet were dead in the blink of an eye.

Eighth rank seemed to be completely insignificant in a place like this.

When Chaos Sky fought Disorder, he only lost one seventh rank after prolonged fighting. He’d even taken in eight more seventh ranks instead.

But now, he hadn’t done anything for the master and disciple duo to spontaneously execute ten of his heavyweights. This had become a blood feud!

Everyone else on the scene was startled. All of this was happening too quickly. But no one froze with shock.

“Kill!” The Human King growled with a grin. “Kill Chaos Sky!”

He flourished his blade and swept it through the void. His cold snort echoed in the four directions. “Let’s have some fun since all this is starting! Li Hao, I’ll look down on you if you fail to establish your chaos today. Killing your master to verify your dao dirties the New Martial name!

“Granted, you’re not from New Martial. But if you cannot establish your chaos to resurrect your master, I will kill you if you try to run from the consequences!”

Either you die here, or you succeed in creating your chaos.

If you flee upon seeing that you might fail... I will cut you down!

Fang Ping always kept his word!

He didn’t care what methods Li Hao used to trigger himself into a demonic or crazed state, but he didn’t wish to see the development of a coward who forced his master to die and went on the run himself.

If it came down to it, he would ensure that Li Hao fell in battle here as well!

“Human King, I just said you know me well, but now you don’t.” Li Hao’s laughter carried a hint of madness in it. I will lay down my life here today if I do not succeed in establishing my own chaos. This is my dao.

“My master made the ultimate sacrifice to lend me a helping hand. If I run, then I would no longer be able to face the idea of cultivation for the rest of my life. I might as well just fall on my sword, why dirty the Human King’s blade?”

A longsword rang throughout the area. The chaos shook!

The nine layers of the chaos swung wildly and Li Hao grinned. I am Demon Sword!

“This is not a struggle between ninth ranks today, so the rest of you... should refrain from participating!” Li Hao roared with laughter and struck the void with his sword.

Chaos dao materialized. The young man ignored everyone else and raised his sword at the firmament, charging for chaos dao.

Chaos Sky shifted to kill him, but suddenly paused his footsteps and stepped aside.

Statues appeared within the chaos dao. Each of them deployed a palm strike. Some people sneered, others raged, and some snorted.

“How brazen!”

“Demon!”

“Kill him!”

“This little bastard!”

“......”

Each of the ninth ranks seemed thoroughly enraged. How dare Li Hao be so arrogant that he would seek to sever chaos dao to prevent their descent and not give them the chance to participate?!

What an impudent demonic swordsman!

What right do you have to sever chaos dao? By the eight thousand dao rules that you wield? Are those enough??

“What right?” Li Hao laughed. Countless supernatural characters suddenly appeared in the void. There were so many that they couldn’t be counted. It was incredible!

Ten thousand, one hundred thousand, one million...

A dense array of them sprang out of nowhere.

No one knew where the supernatural characters came from, but they gathered and ultimately melded into Li Hao’s longsword. And then, they began to combine with each other under the young man’s brilliant grin!

“Suppress!”

Ten million supernatural characters became one character. Spirit erupted, turning it into a true character of spirit. It was thus a spirit of great dao.

The supernatural characters were magnificent, but also a slightly overwhelming mixture as countless humans in the divine nation cultivated under their queen’s orders. One of their characters might be weak, ten thousand might be weak as well...

Yet there were billions upon billions of humans in the divine nation. Their supernatural characters contained a large sum of faith and together, they suppressed the spirit of the chaos for a split second.

The worlds shook when the supernatural characters appeared!

Chaos Sky’s eyes widened and he waved off the Nine Layer Guard. Just that supernatural character alone could restrain the worlds and chaos dao. While it might not have any effect on him, the others might be spontaneously suppressed when they drew near the young man. Even Withdrawal would be no exception, despite commanding nearly eight thousand dao rules.

That would make them easy pickings for Li Hao!

Li Hao was a madman!

He didn’t use this against Chaos Sky, but to sever chaos dao so that the ninth ranks couldn’t join them anymore and interfere with him establishing a chaos. What was he thinking of?

Or did he feel that Chaos Sky wasn’t as much of a threat as those ninth ranks who didn’t dare send their primary bodies?

Countless palms slammed down on the supernatural character!

Shadows of the ninth ranks appeared with immense fury. What a presumptuous and impertinent junior! He wanted to curtail their path of return!

Although they hadn’t decided on if they would return or not, even if Li Hao didn’t suppress them, but now... the young man was clearly provoking them!

That made the ninth ranks leap to their feet. It’s our decision if we want to descend or not. It’s not up to you!

Li Hao, however, laughed and said meaningfully, “Are you still not going to stop yet, Skyward?’

The Skyward master frowned from the depths of the great dao. Are you... commanding me?

Li Hao’s figure suddenly turned much more illusory. The star of time entered his forehead, giving him a very eerie and otherworldly air!

A dark passageway appeared in Li Hao’s eyes, one that reached the four regions. Next, a tiger floated out of his forehead, one that seemed to be the dao spirit that exploded when he took down Calamity. The tiger roared, darting into the void and immediately latching onto something.

The star of time erupted with power, coming down over the worlds.

Boom!

The chaos shook. Even Chaos Sky and the rest backed away, their eyes darting around uncertainly. He seemed to be seeing something as well.

There was a passageway within the gloom of the chaos and the tiger of Li Hao’s head was furiously tearing at it. The young man himself was wielding a longsword and gathering strength from the four directions.

Endless power of faith also erupted. It was an intangible and invisible strength, yet could help bring the passageway into focus.

Part of it shattered when Li Hao swung his weapon!

Shock snapped across the Skyward’s face. Li Hao!

The passage of space had been created for their return. Not only was it meant for the Skyward powerhouses, but also himself. Traveling back through it would preserve his strength, which would ensure that he would be on a better footing when he arrived. That would give him a leg up compared to his peers.

But now, Li Hao was destroying it!

The young man never liked to rely on others and didn’t like to complete his plans assuming the indifference of others. He preferred to be prepared for any possibility and eliminate all unwanted outcomes ahead of time!

“What do you want?” The Skyward’s drifted through the void. Did the young man want him to stop the other ninth ranks?

He wouldn’t do that.

Li Hao could demand other terms.

And yet, it was like the young man didn’t hear anything. He laughed and grabbed in the air. The dao chess blinked when he felt a force lock onto him. After a brief hesitation, he disappeared into the chessboard and permitted the force to take him away.

The treasure landed in Li Hao’s hands. His longsword promptly appeared over the treasure, which prompted the startled shadow to pop back out.

You want to kill me?!

Some illusory chess squares appeared overhead. The longsword became part of them and fully extracted the spatial strength within. The power of faith assimilated it, leaving the dao chess empty!

Li Hao’s sword dao had taken almost all of the energy. Now it flared with sword intent of spatial dao. It was domineering!

The sword stuck!

Crunch... Rumble...

The passageway in the darkness was fully apparent and broke into two from the blow. The two sides began collapsing.

“Li Hao... it looks like you’re not in the mood to discuss anything,” came Skyward’s voice in the void. “I’d thought twice about killing you before, but I will hesitate no more after today. I will not stop you from establishing your chaos, but your doom is at hand after you do so!”

Li Hao had broken his passageway. He’d use the vestiges of spatial energy within the dao chess to assimilate the strength within the passageway and thereby smash it.

That put an end to Skyward’s desire to return ahead of time.

The Skyward master had been hesitating over Li Hao’s fate before this. He’d felt that the third generation cultivator of time might not be any better. But now... no matter how bad he was, he wouldn’t be any worse than Li Hao.

This was a pure, unadulterated maniac. He’d forced his own master to die, just so he could fight with his back against the wall!

What would he do to outsiders? Was there anyone he couldn’t or wouldn’t kill?

No!

There was no one more ruthless than Li Hao in the chaos. Even though the Human King appeared heartless since he continuously commanded his people to self detonate, he was the one who truly had a heart.

Li Hao had completely lost his mind!

The ‘suppression’ supernatural character was still holding out against the other ninth ranks. Although the Skyward master had come to a decision, he wouldn’t stop the others from destroying Li Hao’s character. If something happened during the course of establishing his chaos, then they would be able to descend all the same...
