Chapter 2085: Demon Sword Li Hao (II)
Rumble...
Skyflight Tiger was the first to explode, making the chaos beast the first high rank powerhouse to die in this battlefield.
The four elemental envoys were next to follow. They were mercilessly pulverized as energy ripples swept past them. Eighth ranks were completely ineffective in a place like this. All of the elemental energy within them had gone to Yuan Shuo and this particular punch of his.
In their last moments, some thoughts and regrets rose in their minds.
Perhaps... it would have been better to go with Flamefire.
If they’d died with Flamefire, then perhaps, the tiniest of perhaps, the Skyward master would’ve revived them if he won. But now that they’d surrendered and betrayed their master...
They had not built sufficient trust and camaraderie with Chaos Sky. This death would likely be a true death. No one would resurrect them.
Flamefire had at least cemented his relationship with the Skyward master in choosing death. The other elemental envoys... had not.
An inexplicable sense of tragedy rose within them. Why... had things turned out this way? Why was Yuan Shuo’s dao spirit so strong that it could strip the elemental power from their bodies??! He was just a mere seventh rank—well, eighth rank, and that had been forced. The old man had barely managed that achievement!
A dull roar echoed through the void and a soft grunt came after it. No one looked twice at the demise of the four envoys. Devoid of energy as they were, they didn’t raise any fuss when they died.
Palm and fist connected in a flurry of light. The power of darkness descended and fractured the massive punch. Elemental power exploded in a series of bangs. The aura spirit over Yuan Shuo’s head was collapsing as well.
The muffled grunt had come from Chaos Sky. A faint cut marred his palm. It expanded in a furious fashion and a drop of blood oozed out. The man’s face was impassive.
So it looked like this was all there was to Yuan Shuo.
Do you like to borrow strength from others, like your disciple does?
But what’s borrowed will always remain that, borrowed.
Chaos Sky’s eyes abruptly widened and he took a step back. A shadow had appeared in the void—a third hand!
It manifested when Yuan Shuo was about to fall apart. Even Chaos Sky hadn’t discovered where the hand had come from. It just suddenly popped into place in the void.
The undetectable hand came with a ruthless air. It appeared underneath Chaos Sky’s crotch as a leer spread over Yuan Shuo’s cracked face.
“The Hand That Brings Back Life!” Yuan Shuo threw his head back with laughter as his body wasted away.
Bam!
Tremendous strength erupted beneath Chaos Sky’s crotch. The massive hand promptly shattered, but a hole had appeared in his robes. It looked a bit worse for the wear.
The robe was a powerful treasure, but it’d been damaged!
Chaos Sky glowered.
Although the scene that everyone had hoped would appear didn’t appear, he’d also lost every trace of dignity. The Human King tsk’ed nearby and shook his head. What a pity that it hadn’t worked. It was a damn shame!
I really want to see Yuan Shuo pop Chaos Sky’s manhood. Damn that was close!
“His pants ripped, but we didn’t see anything. ...is it too small?” Although Fang Ping was murmuring to himself, his voice traveled through the void and burrowed into everyone’s ears.
Chaos Sky’s face darkened even more.
Yuan Shuo turned his head with great difficulty and looked at Li Hao, the disciple he’d always been proud of. How about that, huh?
In the distance.
Li Hao stared expressionlessly. A stern killing intent rose from his body and expanded infinitely. His eyes had blazed brightly as the sun and moon before, now they were black as the darkest night. An incredibly evil presence wafted from the young man, like he was a demon incarnate that had appeared among them.
The scene was suddenly much gloomier than before. The worlds began to fall silent and the presence of death emanated. A river of death floated out his river of dao and the scent of death snaked through the area.
His dao domain ballooned dramatically.
The eighth ranks that’d been suppressed could sense the arrival of the end times. Color drained from their faces. Li Hao... had gone crazy.
He was using his master’s death in battle as the catalyst to fully lose control.
Was it worth it?
Was there a need to go down this path?!
Chaos Sky scanned the scene in an ominous fashion. He looked at the soundless Li Hao and clenched his teeth.
“What is the point in doing this?!” he growled. “The chaos is so vast, you can establish yours anywhere! Why choose the western region? You damned animal, you sacrificed your teacher for your enterprise! You are the definition of cold-bloodedness!”
Yuan Shuo continued to topple in front of him, but he smiled radiantly. As flesh and blood evaporated from his frame, he said softly to Li Hao, “This is how things should be... Kid... you have a legitimate reason now!”
Chaos Sky couldn’t understand it! He just couldn’t!
Why was there a need for this?!
I’ve already given way!
Li Hao gave the go-ahead for his master to fight to his death just so... he can justify his actions?
How fucking ludicrous!
The difference in our strength is still evident, so what if you have a legitimate reason??
However, Chaos Sky quickly realized the error in his way of thinking. Li Hao’s presence built ever more as Yuan Shuo drifted away upon the wind. The young man’s presence billowed commandingly as currents of dao strength mysteriously streamed toward him.
Li Hao didn’t look at his teacher with any grief, he simply breathed out softly. There was no need to bid farewell.
Either I successfully create my chaos today and contain my teacher within the new world, or I die and nothing further is needed. If I succeed, he will be reborn with a body of the five elements.
My actions are fully justified and the disciple continues the master’s work... Such is the martial world.
This chaos does not seem to care for the martial world. In that case, I will create one that does.
I will see you again, teacher.
A river’s waters thundered through the void, revitalizing all of the dead spirit drifting through the void. Endless dao strength flooded the waters and became part of the river.
Spirit manifested over Li Hao as five thousand dao rules shook. Heaven’s Stratagem was promptly reduced to dust and drifted into all of the dao rules.
Chaos Sky grunted from the loss. This was when everyone else recollected themselves.
Spring Autumn’s jaw sagged!
She’d met all manner of people in her very long life, but she’d never met a disciple who wanted his master to fight to his death and use that as a catalyst to turn demonic. The young man was a veritable demon in her eyes at the moment!
The Human King also exhaled and took out his blade. The kid... was some parts deranged and other parts heartless...
He was also clearly determined to establish his chaos today.
Aren’t you a good disciple huh, using this to demonstrate your conviction. Your master basically had to die to measure up to those sentiments. Fuck! This is insane. ℴℴ𝘮
Long Zhan was also extremely solemn, he was quite conflicted. Li Hao... slightly terrified him, but Chaos Sky might be an even more difficult opponent. Should he help Li Hao, or should he help Chaos Sky stop Li Hao?
Meanwhile, the six eighth ranks in the river were ashen faced. Tidal waves were washing over them!
Their bodies split open with each wave, threatening to eventually fall apart from the force.
Chaos Sky flared his presence and snapped in a towering rage, “Li Hao! Don’t force me to kill you!”
“I’m taking this region of yours!” Li Hao jerked his head up and materialized a longsword. “You killed my master, so it is only just that I seize your territory! You can retreat, Chaos Sky, and I’ll spare you. If not, I’ll kill you!”
You’ll kill me? This is peak comedy and the most ludicrous thing I’ve heard today!
Chaos Sky flushed with incandescent rage. He had excellent self-restraint and was sufficiently magnanimous that almost no one could anger him. But in this moment, he was well and truly angry.
This master and disciple duo were the height of shamelessness!
It was Li Hao’s master who’d insisted on making a move and dying in battle here. He’d even humiliated Chaos Sky when he died, not to mention killing the four elemental envoys that’d just surrendered.
Chaos Sky hadn’t taken the young man to task for that affront yet, but the hypocritical Li Hao was now saying that he wanted to take revenge for his master!
He wants to take my territory to create his own. What kind of logic is that?! This is what bandits do!!
“I’d like to see how you’re going to kill me!” Chaos Sky couldn’t hold it in anymore. “Nine Layer Guard, kill him!”
Kill Li Hao!
Kill this shameless asshole!
How could someone like this exist in the chaos?!
“Dao master...” Wails sounded from the river. Despair dawned on the faces of the six eighth ranks in the river.
The five thousand dao rules suddenly came alive and rushed them. The eighth ranks were going to be devoured while they lived!
One of the six howled and turned into a kunpeng, wanting to make his escape. Another one transformed into black light, hoping to dart into the void and walk out of the river. Someone else raged and wept as the river devoured them.
The presence of death swirled over the river.
Li Hao looked down at the Firmament Sword in his hand and smiled faintly. “This might be your last fight in my capacity!”
The sword vibrated, as if it had a spirit too. Was this... going to be the end of it?
The vibrating soon gave rise to a crazed presence. Li Hao flourished it in a casual way.
Crunch!
The fleeing kunpeng was cut down and fell into the river, becoming part of it.
Nine Layer Guards charged Li Hao, each of them furious beyond belief. Damn it!
One of the six eighth ranks was suddenly dead and two of them had been devoured by the dao rules, straightening the rules. The remaining three were escaping for all their worth.
However, a smiling Li Hao brandished his sword again. Time passed quickly, like thousands of years were flashing by in the blink of an eye. The three figures froze over the river.
Three swords landed at the same time a heartbeat later!
Rumble!
Three eighth ranks died at the same time to Li Hao’s sword.
Although much of the dao strength within their bodies had already been extracted, they were eighth ranks at the end of the day. Hence, it was incredible that Li Hao had needed only the blink of an eye to kill them all.
