Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station
Chapter 1352: Gaia Planet (2)
By the way, doing this could also cooperate with the Minister of Spiritual Ability. He mentioned he could help Chen Ming find someone, but Chen Ming still needs to give a reason for the search.
Other than this new project matter.
Chen Ming’s collaboration request with the research group that developed the Arc Emitter and Energy-Accumulating Arc Emitter faced a slight issue.
Apparently, his actions were too obvious. Just after he sent the collaboration request to that group, a bunch of people swarmed over like sharks that smelled blood.
A flurry of collaboration invitations similar to Chen Ming’s filled their group’s inbox.
Since this was a technical matter, Chen Ming was not angered by the competition, nor would he use privileges to prevent it.
He merely took the opportunity to use Deep Maintenance Spiritual Energy to optimize the sample he previously tested.
Then he sent the optimized new-style Energy-Accumulating Arc Emitter to the research group.
Furthermore, he provided them the same collaboration share as before.
So in the end, that research group still agreed to collaborate with Chen Ming, selling part of the patent rights to him.
Although Chen Ming usually just equipped whatever weapons or devices he found useful on his spaceship, cracking the technology himself and buying materials to build them.
In the development of technology, Chen Ming still needed to respect the developers.
Moreover, Chen Ming genuinely believed that the Arc Emitter was a remarkably promising weapon with a bright market future.
He believed that the Arc Weapon would perform well not only on his Insect Race battleship but also if installed on the Empire’s warships.
After a day filled with hustle and bustle,
Chen Ming finally completed the tasks at hand,
and after ensuring there were no pending tasks, he shifted his attention to the wormhole.
The wormhole at the other end of the Primordial Star System was still moving towards the star system Chen Ming had previously scouted from a distance, expected to arrive there in a day.
While it hadn’t reached yet, Chen Ming was already prepared to go ahead and investigate.
The Supreme Point had arrived early through a warp jump to the edge of that star system.
What he needed to do now was head to the Supreme Point.
Under the influence of Spiritual Energy,
Chen Ming’s body instantly appeared in the command room of the Supreme Point.
The sensor scan data had been fully delivered to the ship’s control console.
Chen Ming sat at the main seat in the command room, bringing up the approximate data of the star system that had been scouted from a significant distance, along with the newly acquired data.
According to the newly collected survey data, this Star System appeared normal overall.
One star and five planets, without any moons.
However, the state of the planets within the star system was somewhat peculiar, as every planet was frozen.
Regardless of their distance from the star, every planet in the system appeared covered in solid ice and snow, obscuring their original appearance.
Despite the fact that the star was a yellow dwarf star, remarkably similar to the Sun, and possibly even younger.
But just as discovered during distant observation,
the star’s illumination was exceedingly dim, unable to provide enough light and heat to the planets within the system.
Chen Ming did not know the reason behind this.
But he was certain that a normal star should not experience such a mysterious decrease in energy intensity.
Combining this with the fact that the wormhole was approaching this star system made it difficult not to suspect any potential connection.
Could this star system also be very unique? Could it be a star system of marvels?
With such thoughts, Chen Ming did not linger long at the edge of the star system with the Supreme Point.
Instead, it dispersed, beginning to survey each planet and the star within the system.
He released probes to approach the star, while Spiritual Energy carried several exploration ships, each heading to different planets within the star system.
Chen Ming entrusted the majority of the planetary exploration to Dusk controlling the ships,
while piloting the Supreme Point himself, towards the second planet in the star system.
This planet was the most peculiar among the five in the star system.
It had an atmosphere, although it was extremely thin due to the cold climate, it existed nonetheless.
And it was precisely located within the habitable zone of the star as Chen Ming calculated for a star with normal energy intensity.
So no matter what, Chen Ming had to go and see this planet himself.
The spaceship entered the thin atmosphere.
In the next moment, a snowstorm engulfed the Supreme Point entirely.
The chilling gale almost made it seem like Chen Ming could hear its howling while inside the ship.
The high-precision scanning function of the sensors was also limited.
The atmosphere outside limited high-precision scanning from the atmosphere, while the blizzard within hampered scanning accuracy.
Thus, Chen Ming could only attempt to land first, getting close to a ground-level position before proceeding normally.
Fortunately, the fruit of human technology had its usefulness.
The blizzard enveloping the entire planet had less impact on the spaceship itself than Chen Ming initially thought.
And although the blizzard wrapped around the Supreme Point, its reconnaissance system and ordinary sensor devices were not impaired.
