Chapter 91: Chapter 91: Everything in Lingzhou City Has an Owner

His Divine Thought erected a barrier, blocking the raindrops ten feet away from the two of them. Su Han looked at the woman in front of him.

"Su Yi?"

The woman blinked softly.

"Do you think Su Xiaosan sounds bad? I think it sounds much better than Su Yi."

The woman’s lips twitched. Su Han’s knees almost buckled, and he quickly spoke.

"Alright, then I’ll call you Su Yi from now on?"

She looked at him and nodded.

Su Han breathed a slight sigh of relief. It was too damn scary! However... even though he hadn’t come up with her first name, at least he gave her the surname "Su," right? Having a peculiar fondness for naming people, Su Han inexplicably found the name Su Yi quite pleasant to the ear. He couldn’t help but feel a little smug.

"Well... I’m going home. Do you want to come with me?"

She nodded and followed behind him.

Su Han deliberately expanded his Divine Thought to its maximum limit, covering over three miles with every step. Su Yi’s footsteps were light and unhurried, yet she always managed to keep up.

After this second test, Su Han finally resigned himself to his fate. Although he didn’t want to believe it, he had to admit that this woman he had picked up was terrifying to a degree beyond his imagination. His Celestial Punishment might truly not be a match for her.

The two walked one after the other, yet it felt as if they were moving side by side. Wherever he went, she followed, trailing him all the way to Lingzhou City.

Shortly after, Su Han and Su Yi appeared at the foot of the mountain outside the north gate of Lingzhou City.

"Han?"

Just as they reached the foot of the mountain, a familiar voice rang out from not far ahead. Looking up, Su Han saw his father, Prince Jing, and his mother, the Princess Consort, along with a group of patriarchs from the major families of Lingzhou. They were gathered together not far away, facing the towering peak and discussing something.

Seeing Su Han emerge from the mountain, Prince Jing took a few steps forward. He glanced at Su Yi in surprise before his gaze landed on his son.

"Han, did you... come out of the mountain?"

Su Han rolled his eyes. "If I said I popped out of the ground, would you believe me?"

Prince Jing fell silent.

"Then do you know what is going on with this mountain? How did such a massive peak suddenly appear out of nowhere outside Lingzhou City?

"Did it attain sentience, or did someone move it here?"

Su Han looked back at the towering mountain behind him, then at the calm-faced Su Yi. After a moment of thought, he decided she probably wasn’t the one responsible. It was much more likely the doing of the Array Spirit inside the ruins. After all, once the coffin was lost, the Array Spirit flew into a rage and tossed everyone out of the ruins. The fact that everyone who was thrown out ended up inside this mountain was enough to prove a connection between the two. So, Su Han nodded.

"It’s nothing to worry about. This mountain asked for my permission before taking root here.

"I even issued it a residency permit for Lingzhou."

Hearing this, Prince Jing breathed a slight sigh of relief. "So, it follows the rules. I assume you’ve explained the Basic Law for Spirit Monsters Settling in Lingzhou City to it?"

Su Han nodded. "It all went through the proper channels."

Even as he said that, Su Han was secretly planning to seek out the Array Spirit tomorrow, once his Distanceless Skill finished its cooldown, to have a little chat about life and ideals. While he was at it, he would remind the spirit that although he had permitted the mountain to take root in Lingzhou City, it still needed to obey the rules.

Reassured that the proper procedures had been followed, Prince Jing finally relaxed.

"Then there’s no problem. Speaking of which, a mountain range stretching eight hundred miles taking root in our Lingzhou City is a first in the one thousand three hundred years since Jing Country was founded.

"I just wonder if the resources in this mountain are considered claimed or unclaimed."

Su Han shot his father a surprised look. "Isn’t everything in Lingzhou City claimed?"

Prince Jing froze for a moment, only to see Su Han point at the ground beneath their feet. "It belongs to our family!"

Prince Jing fell silent once again. He didn’t dare curse out loud, but he had to admit his son was even more ruthless than he was.

"Yes, it belongs to our family," Prince Jing agreed.

In just a few words, the father and son decided the ownership of the mountain, completely neglecting to ask for the mountain’s opinion. Even if the mountain had objections, Su Han wouldn’t care. It had forced its way into the north of Lingzhou City like a bandit without asking for his permission either, right? The fact that he was covering for it and putting it through a legal settlement process was already giving it enough face. The father and son exchanged a glance, both sporting grins like foxes in a henhouse.

Stepping around Prince Jing, Su Han walked toward the crowd.

"Mother." After first greeting his mother, the Princess Consort, Su Han looked at the leaders of the major families in Lingzhou City. "Greetings, Patriarchs."

"Crown Prince!"

"Young Prince!"

The Patriarchs greeted him in return. Su Han waved his hand dismissively and said, "This mountain’s settlement process is entirely legal. It was specially approved by me, the Crown Prince.

"It is not some unruly wild mountain spirit. I expect all of you Patriarchs to keep your family members in check."

The Patriarchs exchanged glances. Gao Qiuqiu’s father, whose name Su Han had completely forgotten, was the first to step forward.

"But, Crown Prince... since ancient times, the treasures of famous mountains and great rivers have always belonged to the virtuous..."

Su Han raised an eyebrow. "You said it yourself: famous mountains and great rivers belong to the virtuous." He pointed at the mountain behind him, then pointed at himself, retorting, "Take a look at this tiny mountain that stretches a mere eight hundred miles. Does it look like a famous mountain or great river to you?

"Or... do you think that I, the Crown Prince, lack virtue and ability?"

Gao Qiuqiu’s father bowed his head. "I wouldn’t dare."

"This massive mountain has signed a servitude agreement with me. I allowed it to reside outside Lingzhou City, so everything on this mountain, including the mountain itself, belongs to me. Do any of you have a problem with that?"

The Patriarchs exchanged looks and bowed their heads one after another, daring to feel angry but not daring to speak up.

"Hmph!" Su Han snorted coldly. "Keep your family members in line. I will instruct the Mountain God that anyone who dares to trespass without permission will have their limbs broken and be thrown out."

"Yes, sir," the Patriarchs replied reluctantly.

Su Han’s gaze swept over the crowd once more before he finally retracted his oppressive aura from the Patriarchs. "If there’s nothing else, you’re all dismissed."

"We will take our leave."

Having failed to reap any benefits and instead receiving a severe threat, the Patriarchs departed with their tails between their legs. They couldn’t fathom why Prince Jing’s Residence, which had always been so democratic, was suddenly acting so domineering about this matter.

Once the crowd dispersed, only Prince Jing, the Princess Consort, Su Xiao’Er, and Su Han remained. Prince Jing and the Princess Consort exchanged a glance before their eyes fell upon Su Han.

"Spit it out. What exactly happened?"

Su Han pointed at the sprawling eight-hundred-mile mountain. "This... is related to that place."

A look of solemnity flashed across the eyes of both Prince Jing and the Princess Consort. "If that’s the case, we certainly can’t let outsiders interfere."

Su Han nodded. "I have my own arrangements."

"Alright." The Princess Consort sighed. Their Little Han... had finally grown up. In the past, she was always the one who handled this sort of thing. With that thought, she glanced at Su Yi standing next to Su Han and asked with a smile, "And who might this young lady be...?"

"Her name is..." Su Han opened his mouth. Then he opened it again.

Prince Jing and the Princess Consort looked utterly baffled. "What is her name?"

Su Han frowned. She...

She took a step closer to him and gave him a gentle nod. Su Han spoke once more.

"Su Yi."
