Chapter 1126 - 1122: RUBY’S LOVE LIFE

"How is it between you and Sean? Have you worked things out yet?" Sonia asked, her eyes beaming, and sparkling with interest and curiosity.

When Ruby heard that, she raised her hands to her temples and began to massage them as she sighed dejectedly.

Hearing her sighing, the three could tell that things weren’t exactly good at all, and judging from what they have heard until now, it could be understood. But how could things turn out that bad like that?

Was there no way to reconcile at all?

Talking about reconciliation, one would have to understand why the people needed to even reconcile in the first place. And this matter will go back to the time when Diamond gave Sean a piece of her mind, making Sean to grumble and act coldly towards Ruby for some time, as if acting out just because Diamond simply gave him an earful.

Back then, Ruby had no idea that Sean would be greatly affected by such words. After all, from what she knows, Waylon received even worse. The fact that he had to be nagged by Diamond and then suffer a great blow of knowing that he wouldn’t be her only boyfriend but must share, the thought of what might have gone through his mind during that time, how he must have felt the pain and anguish, made her quite happy.

It was what made her to actually get over her crush for Waylon and happily moved on. She might have lost the guy she got a crush on to her sister, but wasn’t Waylon going to spend the rest of his life, knowing that the woman he loves has others in her heart?

Anyway, setting that matter aside, the fact that Waylon could actually accept and embrace that, and still continue to pursue Diamond while doing his best to pursue his dreams and changing himself, made her admire him greatly.

Putting aside her slight grudge against Waylon, the fact that he could actually do so for Diamond showed that he was serious about her. Although she felt that it was impossible to find someone who is richer than her sister currently, the fact that Waylon was even trying in the ways that he could manage, made him a greater man.

Waylon wasn’t that overly ambitious. He was simply fond of cooking, and in the recent period Diamond had been away, apart from his studies as he would be completing his university this year, he has been busy researching new recipes.

Being the privileged sister-in-law, she was honored to have tasted numerous dishes that Waylon had prepared. All dishes that he was planning on cooking for Diamond when she returns.

But what about the guy who swore that he loves her and was willing to make her live a good life without getting her wronged?

Because of a simple and truthful admonition, he sulked like a little girl. As if that wasn’t enough, in his bad moments, he actually dared to talk ill about Diamond and made it seem like Diamond was trying to interfere with her life.

He was that bothered with Diamond’s words, that rather than changing himself or defending himself if he felt that her words weren’t that good, he talked ill behind her back like some gossipmonger. Who does that?

The fact that those words touched him for so long meant that Diamond struck where it hurts.

Did it mean that he was actually planning on relying on the family without doing anything himself?

It wasn’t like Diamond asked him to become the richest man in the country. All she emphasized on was for these guys to be ambitious and have goals. It didn’t matter if they would become rich or not, they should do something. After all, you can’t always rely on family.

Diamond made it clear to her, and the parents that she has money but that doesn’t mean that they should eye her wealth. It was the reason why she opened companies for the parents and always supporting them in everything that they do.

Rather than giving them too much, making them reliant on her, she would rather provide a way for everyone to earn and enjoy the harvest of their own labor.

Their parents are quite happy now managing their businesses. They have a lot of money every month, and they were even generous to provide them with monthly allowances. Although she had repeatedly made them stop to send her money, they still do and, in some ways, it warms her heart.

Back then when they didn’t have much, there wasn’t much allowance to speak of. The money that they earned and the money that Diamond generously sent every month; it wasn’t enough to make them splurge. They still needed to spend with caution. Moreover, at that time, they were all worried about Diamond.

What if she was sending all of her salary back home?

If things get sour, and they don’t have savings, wouldn’t she be in trouble?

As a family that grew up spoiling her, they could only save again so that they would be able to fish Diamond out if she ever falls into danger. Fortunately, they never got to see that day, but saw the day when she became rich and extremely wealthy.
