Georgia Thorne remained silent, her reddened eyes fixed on him. Though separated by a distance, their gazes met in the air.

Without another word, Elliot Sheridan immediately released Erin Irving. "Isaac Irving, don’t you touch her!"

Seeing Elliot release Erin, Isaac Irving’s lips curved into a smile, and he motioned for his men to stand down.

His white collar was stained red. Freed, Erin Irving didn’t move. "Why did you capture Georgia Thorne!"

"You bastard, I saved you, and you dare question me!" Isaac Irving’s voice was heavy with rage. Erin sneered, his gaze sharp. "Who asked you to save me!"

"I’d rather die than be saved by you!"

No one present could have imagined this father and son would start arguing right then and there.

Erin Irving and Isaac Irving had never gotten along. Even when his company was in trouble, Erin had shouldered the burden alone rather than going to the old man for help.

He never expected the old bastard to actually show up and "save" him—by kidnapping Georgia Thorne.

’Dammit!’

He cursed under his breath. "Let Georgia go!"

But Isaac Irving was unmoved. Erin stared at him. "Elliot has already let me go, so hurry up and release Georgia!"

Isaac Irving had kidnapped Georgia. His only purpose in doing so was to deal with Elliot Sheridan.

Elliot dropped the knife in his hand and took a step forward. "What do you want?"

"Ah, the young are so direct. To be honest, Elliot, I admire you. You’re talented, sharp, and decisive. The only pity is that you’re not my son," Isaac Irving said with a hint of regret.

"So? Are you going to adopt me as your godson?" Elliot scoffed.

"That’s not a bad idea. In the past, I might have considered it. But unfortunately..." Isaac Irving paused, his gaze landing on Elliot with profound meaning.

Times had changed. Their interests were no longer aligned, and there was no need for them to be entangled.

Isaac Irving had no intention of letting Elliot off the hook. He wanted to use this opportunity to deal him a fatal blow.

"Bring that woman to me!" Isaac Irving’s eyes shifted toward Quentin Chase.

Isaac Irving’s men were all armed. Dylan Heston was willing but powerless, and everyone could only watch as Quentin Chase was taken away.

Miles, held by William, was wailing and crying for his mother. His sobs echoed across the sky.

Isaac Irving was far more ruthless than his son. He was going to make Elliot Sheridan choose one of the two women’s lives.

Forcing Quentin Chase to stand next to Georgia Thorne, Georgia whispered, "Don’t be afraid."

Quentin looked at Georgia’s calm demeanor with a mix of terror and admiration. ’Facing death, how could anyone not be afraid?’

"Between these two women, you can only save one. Tell me, who will it be?"

Elliot took another step forward. "What if I want to save them both?"

"You can’t have it both ways. Unless, of course, you have the ability to take it." Isaac Irving was in a fine mood, adopting the posture of a victor.

In the current situation, his men had everything under control. There was no way for Elliot to turn the tables.

Elliot’s fists were clenched tight as he glanced at Erin Irving, who was standing to the side.

’Even if I hadn’t let Erin go, Isaac had no intention of sparing me.’

"Time is short. I’ll give you five minutes to think about it."

"Wait. Can I say a few words to my wife first?" Elliot said unexpectedly.

Isaac Irving hesitated. Elliot gave a mocking laugh. "Our lives are in your hands right now. Do you really think I’d dare to resist?"

At this, Isaac waved his hand, allowing Elliot to approach the two women.

With every step, he drew closer to the edge of the sea, and the sound of waves crashing against the cliffs grew louder.

To be pushed from here meant almost certain death.

Georgia’s heart pounded wildly. As she watched the tall man walk toward her, step by step, her eyes instantly began to burn and sting.

"Did the baby kick you today?" he asked, his deep voice unusually gentle and full of affection.

During the entire kidnapping, she had been panicked and afraid, but she hadn’t shed a single tear. She didn’t want to be so weak that she wasn’t worthy of this man.

But the moment he spoke, her tears began to fall, rolling down her cheeks one by one.

His tone was just like any other day, but in such a different environment... Georgia choked back a sob. "No, she’s been very good today."

She was telling the truth. The baby had been unusually quiet today, as if sensing the tense atmosphere, and hadn’t caused her any trouble.

"Are you scared?" he then asked softly.

Georgia nodded, then shook her head. She was scared, but with him by her side, she felt much more at ease.

With Isaac Irving’s men watching, Elliot couldn’t get too close to Georgia. He felt a pang of heartache and helplessness.

Elliot turned and glanced at Quentin Chase, who was staring blankly at the two of them.

In the end, her heart still belonged to Elliot. The look on his face when he spoke to Georgia was so gentle, a side of him she had never seen before.

It almost gave her the illusion that the man before her wasn’t Elliot at all.

Nathan Rhodes was right. Georgia Thorne was truly amazing, because she had the ability to completely change Elliot into a different person.

’Elliot dotes on Georgia so much, and now she’s pregnant. With his personality, he’ll definitely choose Georgia, right?’

She had practically guessed the answer the moment Isaac Irving presented the choice.

An indescribable melancholy welled up from the bottom of her heart, but when the man gave his answer, she was completely shocked.

Elliot said, "Let Quentin Chase go."

It was impossible not to be shocked. She thought Elliot’s preference had been obvious; she had even prepared herself for death.

The first person he looked at was Georgia, and his first words of concern were for Georgia. Perhaps, from beginning to end, she had never truly existed in his heart.

Quentin stared at the man before her in shock and couldn’t help but ask, "Why?"

"You’re Aidan Sheridan’s sister. If you die, he’ll blame me for the rest of his life."

Quentin was speechless. "..."

’So it was for Aidan.’

’Right. It seemed their connection had started because of Aidan in the first place.’

’Otherwise, how could she ever have been involved with such a distinguished man?’

It wasn’t just Quentin who was stunned; everyone else was also taken aback by Elliot’s answer.

Georgia held the number one spot in Elliot’s heart. Everyone had assumed he would choose Georgia.

The first to react was Erin Irving, who cursed loudly, "You son of a bitch, have you lost your mind?!"

’He actually chose an unimportant woman! Doesn’t he treat Georgia like the apple of his eye? Is he blind?!’

Erin cared deeply for Georgia. In all his years, it was rare for him to fall for a woman, and even though she was his enemy’s wife, he just couldn’t control his feelings.

Hearing this, Joanne Donovan burst out laughing, her provocative gaze landing on Georgia. "It seems his love for you isn’t all that special, after all."

"You old fossil, what the hell is wrong with you? Hurry up and make Joanne Donovan let Georgia go!"

"Insolence!" Hearing what his rebellious son called him, Isaac Irving’s face flushed with anger. "You unfilial son!"

"Call me unfilial, I don’t care! Just let everyone go!" This was all a mess. He didn’t want anyone to die, especially not Georgia.

"Hmph! Releasing them is impossible. He’s the one who chose Quentin Chase, so don’t blame me!"

Isaac Irving didn’t care who Elliot chose. What mattered was that Elliot had made his choice, and now all that was left was to push the unlucky one into the sea.

And Joanne Donovan would do it for him.

’It seems his wife’s position in Elliot’s heart isn’t so high after all.’

Erin Irving exploded. "You let Georgia go!"

"Men, take the young master away." This was his business; he wouldn’t let some young punk dictate his actions.

Isaac Irving had his men release Quentin Chase. Her legs gave out, and she collapsed to the ground.

"How are you? Can you walk on your own?" Elliot crouched down and asked her.

Quentin looked up dumbly. "What about you?"

Elliot looked up at Georgia, who stood nearby, then helped Quentin to her feet. "Georgia’s here."

In truth, Elliot was still Elliot. He hadn’t changed that much; it was she who had never fully entered his world to see him for who he was.

She had known Elliot for so many years, but it couldn’t compare to the few years he had known Georgia.

Georgia was so lucky. She had seen every part of his world, all his joys and sorrows.

Although Elliot had chosen her, allowing her to live, the one his heart had truly chosen was Georgia.

Quentin looked at Georgia’s face. There was no great emotional upheaval; she seemed to understand Elliot’s decision.

Elliot let her go, and Quentin’s body swayed. She truly envied Georgia Thorne.

"Elliot, I’m so scared of dying." The tears on her face had been dried by the wind. Georgia tilted her face up to look at him.

"I’m scared too."

"Elliot, I have so many regrets..."

Hearing her say she had regrets felt like a knife slowly slicing through Elliot’s heart, the pain excruciating. "It would have been better if you’d never met me at the hotel that day."

It seemed that their entanglement had all started with that encounter in the hotel.

She had stumbled into his arms, begging him to save her.

Her eyes, though determined, were filled with terror. They crashed straight into his heart, and in that instant, he was lost.

After that, there was no pulling away.

’If I had saved her that one time and just treated her like a niece, like Selena, maybe we wouldn’t have ended up here.’

She had already lost one child. Now, because of him, she was about to lose another, and even her own life...

’If I had known it would come to this, I should have let her go back then. Maybe being with Justin Sullivan, or any other man, would have been better than death.’

Georgia shook her head frantically, rejecting his words. ’She would never regret meeting him.’
