Chapter 374 - 354: Who Are You Talking About?

The tables turned in an instant. Before Erin Irving’s men could even react, Elliot Sheridan had seized their leader and was holding him hostage.

Terrified, they dropped their guns at Dylan Heston’s command and kicked them over to him.

"Hurry up and untie them!" Dylan Heston ordered. Someone immediately went to untie Aidan Sheridan and Quentin Chase.

Once freed, Quentin Chase immediately reached out to hug her child. "Miles, don’t be afraid. Mommy’s here!"

Miles threw himself into his mother’s arms and burst into tears, his small body trembling with fear.

William hurried forward to help them up. "Are you two okay? Are you hurt?"

Aidan Sheridan shook his head, gritting his teeth as he forced himself to stand. His legs felt like jelly, weak and unsteady.

After shaking off Erin Irving’s men, Sam Yates rushed over to join them, evening out the numbers on both sides.

"Get them out of here first!" Elliot Sheridan commanded, his knife still pressed against Erin Irving’s neck. "Where is Georgia Thorne!"

It wasn’t that Erin Irving was afraid of death, but the thought of dying at Elliot Sheridan’s hands was truly galling.

"I didn’t kidnap Georgia Thorne!" he denied.

"Impossible. She’s clearly here." ’The intel Owen Sawyer dug up couldn’t be wrong.’

The blade pressed deeper, sinking into his skin, and he could faintly feel a warm liquid trickling down from its tip.

"Elliot Sheridan, I told you I wouldn’t touch Georgia Thorne, and I meant it! Are you insane?!"

"After all this, you really think I’d still believe you? Where is Georgia Thorne!"

Just as Dylan Heston and the others were escorting Quentin Chase away, another group of people suddenly rushed out and surrounded them.

"Nobody move!" a raspy, aged voice called out from behind them. "Not if you want this woman to live!"

Dragging Erin Irving with him, Elliot Sheridan spun around to face the voice.

The person who had just appeared was none other than Erin Irving’s father, Isaac Irving.

And the woman Isaac Irving had mentioned was roughly dragged out by a burly man to stand at his side.

Elliot Sheridan recognized her instantly. It was Georgia Thorne.

It wasn’t just Elliot Sheridan who froze; Erin Irving was stunned as well.

And standing there was yet another person who had no business being there: Joanne Donovan.

’He never expected his father to get involved. So he was the one who grabbed Georgia Thorne.’

’To be precise, the one who actually grabbed Georgia should have been Joanne Donovan.’

’Joanne Donovan is supposed to be in a rehab facility right now. Who let her out?’

Joanne Donovan’s drug use had left her face haggard and her complexion ghostly pale, but she had purposely put on makeup at the thought of seeing Elliot Sheridan today.

She gazed at the man before her with a radiant smile. "What, long time no see. You haven’t forgotten about me, have you?"

She walked over to Georgia Thorne, scraping her long, sharp fingernails across Georgia’s cheek and leaving red welts in their wake. Her lips curled. "How could I possibly miss a party like this!"

Isaac Irving was different from his son. If Erin Irving had a weakness, it was Georgia Thorne. Isaac, on the other hand, was invincible.

He had no weaknesses. The only thing he cared about was his son—an heir, and nothing more.

He had turned a blind eye to Erin Irving’s squabbles with Elliot Sheridan. He just never imagined his son would be so incompetent as to make such a colossal mess that he, an old man, would have to come and clean it up.

Since his son didn’t have the heart to get his hands dirty, he would do it for him.

Isaac Irving had sprung Joanne Donovan from the rehab facility. Conveniently, his daughter-in-law harbored a considerable grudge against Georgia Thorne.

Holding Georgia Thorne was like holding a trump card against Elliot Sheridan.

"Elliot Sheridan, if you want this woman to live, let go of my son!"

Isaac Irving wasn’t playing games. When Elliot Sheridan didn’t loosen his grip, Isaac merely lifted an eyelid. At the signal, Joanne Donovan raised her hand and brought it down with a sharp SLAP across Georgia Thorne’s cheek, making the right side of her face flare up even redder.

On the way here, Joanne Donovan had already had her way with Georgia Thorne. After slapping her several times, but before she could fully vent her rage, Isaac Irving had pulled her away.

But slapping Georgia Thorne in front of Elliot Sheridan felt immensely satisfying.

The wind by the sea grew stronger, whipping at the thin clothes on Georgia Thorne’s slender frame. The fabric clung to her body, making her small baby bump all the more obvious.

Though her eyes were rimmed with red, and though she was terrified, Georgia Thorne refused to shed a single tear.

Gritting her teeth, she stubbornly endured it.

With Isaac Irving’s men pointing their guns at her, Georgia Thorne had no choice but to walk toward the edge of the cliff.

’He had always known. When he wasn’t by her side, she was stronger than anyone.’
