Restart: The World Savior's New Beginning
Chapter 1215: Ch 1215: Killing the Undead Dragon
Shuzu only had a single move and that was her powerful sword swing. Even with her current boosted power, her fighting style had not really changed. The only thing that had changed was fact that now she was stronger, faster and had more killing power.
So at her current strength, there would be little to no chance of any rank 9 powerhouse of defeating her. But rank 10 was a different matter.
One of the reason why rank 10 powerhouses were considered to be broken was because of their super high mastery of the fundamental sources. And even though this lich had not used any rank 10 spell in this battle so far, it’s mastery over the fundamental source of Gravity was insane, which was a very powerful fundamental source.
It looked like Shuzu was only cutting the barrier of the lich and was on the offensive, that was actually not the case. So far, it was actually the lich who was constantly on the offensive side.
That barrier that he was deploying, their primary purpose actually was not defense. Instead, their main purpose was offense.
Whenever a barrier was created, it brought a terrifying weight along with it. This weight was trying to crush Shuzu into a pulp all the time.
Not just that but whenever this barrier was attacked, if the attack was unable to destroy it complately, the attack would be reflected back with the same powers.
So whenever Shuzu was attacking, she had make sure that she was going all out. If even just one of her attacks were defended against and reflected back, it would be over for her.
So she actually was walking on a very thin line while having this battle. Any mistake on her part, and Shuzu would most probably die.
But this ever present sense of danger and risk of death was exactly the thing which was inspiring her. In this situation, Shuzu felt her insticts were in their best possible condition.
So if someone was looking at her and was able to understand what was happening in this battle, then that person would think that Shuzu was capable of seeing the future.
That was how accurate her prediction with the help of her insticts were at this current moment. So by firing herself up and overworking her mind, Shuzu was even able to push herself to a new heights and her attacks became even faster, stronger and more deadly.
And because of this, there was no way the lich had the time or the composer to take a deeper look to the battlefield. If he moved his focus away from Shuzu for just a fraction of a second, there was a very high chance that would bring his end.
...
As Shuzu was doing this extremely difficult task with a terrifying but happy smile on her face, Raphaela was making sure that Tatsumi was getting ready with her spell. She was also keeping in touch with Shin and Nakamura while giving them details about her plan.
Raphaela was aware that what Shuzu currently doing was extremely terrible for her and if she stayed in this condition for too long, there was high chance of her mind breaking and her turning into a vegetative state.
But Shuzu was not someone who was ever worried about her limits and about what would hurt her in the long term. So it was Raphaela’s duty to make sure Shuzu was perfectly fine physically and mentally after the end of the battle.
It had not been long since she had joined the team and in this relatively short period of time, she had fallen in love with all the members and the atmosphere of this group.
Obviously there shared love for Elena was one of the main reason why she was able to bond with the men and ladies of this group so easily but the good personality of the individuals themselves were also an important reason.
So Raphaela wanted all of them to succeed in whatever their goal was. She had never been a lady who was too hardworking but in order to keep up with this insanely talented people, even she had started to work hard to make sure she was not going to fall behind.
So, as she loved these people, she would make sure that they would be fine no matter what the situation was. Even if they were going against a rank 10 powerhouse that she could have never even dream of meeting before coming to this team.
So with these thoughts running in her mind, Raphaela coordinated with everyone and gave the signal when everything was ready.
It was not just the spell that needed to be ready, Shin also needed to be in the perfect condition to execute a killing move on the dragon as soon as the connection between it and the lich was cut. Shuzu also needed to ready to not push herself anymore and join Shin in defeating the Lich together.
...
As soon as Tatsumi got the permission, without thinking twice, she immediately used her spell. Before Raphaela joining their team, what Raphaela was doing currently was her task. So Tatsumi was aware of how stressful and hard this task was.
Actually, in a situation where healing was more important than her magic support, at that time, Tatsumi had to take on the same responsibilities once more to make sure Raphaela was able to focus on healing.
So Tatsumi was also doing her best to learn from this very competent older sister figure of hers.
While thinking all this, as she activated the spell "Disruption", the connection between the undead dragon and the lich was immediately gone. And at that perfect timing, Shuzu created some distance with the lich to catch her breath and join up with Shin for further battle.
As for Shin, immediately after getting the singal from Raphaela, he used one of his trump card that summoned a star soul of a mantis. This star soul gave his blade an unparalleled cutting edge for a very short duration. But this duration was enough for Shin to cut the undead dragon in half. This ability of his was very similar to what Shuzu was capable of doing.
And this time, the dragon did not revive once more. It was truly dead. And the lich also noticed it and froze. Taking this opportunity, Shin tried to kill it but while he was middle of making an attack, he suddenly jumped away.
That was because the Lich had suddenly started give off a pitch black and terrifying aura. So it felt extremely dangerous to go near it.
So what was the boss doing now and would Shin and teammates would be able to handle it ?
