Restart: The World Savior's New Beginning
Chapter 1214: Ch 1214: The Dragon Vs The Hero
Against a rank 9 Undead Dragon, even with his boosted status, Nakamura was unable to do much except for distracting the enemy with his insects. But that was actually enough.
Shin was stronger than the dragon and was capable of defeating it in a one on one battle without getting hurt. He was confident in his ability to do so.
But with the slight help from Nakamura, he would be able to do this even faster. And then, Shin would be able to join Shuzu in the front lines against the Lich.
And in order to finish the battle quickly, Shin was not holding back, except for the things which he was able to use only a for limited amount of time in a day. There was no need for Shin to bring out his trump card for this battle against the dragon. It would be a waste and a overkill. So only his bull, snake and a few more star souls were actively helping him.
The snake also one of his trump card but it was not a time limited one. Even the strongest of the poison had only about an hour of cooldown. He was also using the ram and it’s Gravity control ability as it was already out.
So the dragon was having a very hard time fighting against Shin. It’s main weapon was it’s massive and powerful body that was covered in a death aura which was harmful to most people. But it was not very effective on Shin and he was resistant to these things.
Even as an undead dragon, this being had a Dragon’s breath. And Shin was actively preventing it from using it because the dragon breath covered way too wide of an area and was a bad news in a closed place like this.
This dragon also had a passive healing ability even though it was already dead. But the healing speed was much slower than the large zombie that Shin had seen before.
But there was a problem which was the ineffective use of the snake’s poison. Shin was not very sure about the method but this dragon was managing to neutralize the poison in some way.
But that was fine. Even though the easy win route was now closed, Shin was still very confident in his victory.
And he did exactly what he was telling. Very soon, he was able to cut off one of the legs of the undead dragon and used the Gravity powers to push it on the ground. Then Shin performed a move he had learned recently called the "Guillotine Execution" and cut off the head of this already dead dragon.
This battle turned out to be much simpler than what Shin had expected. If the unknown lich was not here, this would have been the end of this mission.
Or so Shin thought. But he was wrong. And this was proven as the dead undead dragon started to revive.
Revival was not an uncommon thing in this universe but it was uncommon for an Undead.
So as Shin engaged the dragon once again in a fierce battle, he decided to keep killing it again and again and see what it’s limits were.
As Shin was thinking this, he got a mental message from Raphaela. When the undead dragon revived, she had noticing some magic that was linked to the Lich.
So it looked like the ability to revive was not something that this dragon had. Instead it was the Lich who was doing this.
So in that case, killing the undead dragon was a little useless as the lich would keep in reviving it. Even if this could lessen some of his extra large mana pool, it was still a drop in the bucket.
So Shin started to think about a solution. He felt that he would leave this undead dragon to his dear life partner for some time. With her current strength, Tatsumi was perfectly capable of matching this Undead Dragon in combat.
And in this duration, Shin was planning to assist Shuzu and kill the lich as soon as possible. In his mind, this was the best plan.
But before Shin could do what he was thinking, he suddenly got some commands from Raphaela. Even though Shin was the official leader of the group, because of her position as a healer of the party and because of her intelligence and ability to keep an eye on the whole battlefield, Raphaela had the role of a field commander and even Shin listened to her.
So, as soon as Raphaela came up with a plan of action, Shin immediately abandoned his own plans that he had came up with just some time ago and did what Raphaela told him to do.
All the party members trusted one another and the same was true for Shin. He also trusted that Raphaela would be able to come up with a better idea. So he believed in her and did what he was told.
For now, Shin was told to not kill the dragon and make it immobilized for some time. This was something that he was capable of doing quite easily especially because his Gravity Control Ram Star Soul was still in action.
At the same time, Raphaela send a mental message to Tatsumi and asked her to prepare a special spell which was called "Disruption". This was a very hard and complex spell which combined both the time and the space fundamental sources.
As for what it did, it did exactly what the name was. This spell was capable of disrupting things, which included the connection between the Lich and the Undead Dragon, which was essential for the revival process to take place.
So when this connection was disrupted, if Shin killed the undead dragon at that time, then it would not be able of come to life once again. So Raphaela had asked Shin to hold the dragon down in order lt prepare a proper execution for it.
While Shin and Tatsumi were the main people needed for this plan, Shuzu needed to make sure that the Lich was completely focusing on her and was not noticing Tatsumi preparing a great spell.
This task was very easy for Shuzu as this was something that she was already doing. So instead of thinking too much, she just increased the intensity of her attacks.
This way, Raphaela came up with a plan to take care of the reviving Undead Dragon first. So would this plan be successful and would the Undead Dragon really die ?
