"Instead we can focus on the things of more importance and the most important thing that we should focus on right now is our own alliance." Zach said to him firmly.

Ronaldo gripped the arm rest of his chair lightly before adjusting himself as he spoke. "Well that is great and all and I can see that you have much to gain from this but there is still one question that remains and that is what do I get from all of this. Before I had gotten intere3sted because of that girl. But now that she4 is no longer here what else do you have that you could give me that I desire. Women?:" Ronaldo said to him.

Zach watched as he quirked an eyebrow at him and he knew that Ronaldo had done it on purpose in the hope of getting a reaction out of him but he gritted his teeth.

He watched as Ronaldo let out a laugh as he threw his head backwards. "I will take that as a no. you see money is great and all but I need something more...tangible than that. Something that I actually want and desire. I have money. In fact I have a lot of it and it is something that I love to admire but that is just about all I can do with it. As admire it. I want some4thing more than that. Something that I can enjoy." Ronaldo said to him.

Zach didn’t want to be bothered by his words but he looked tow3ards Bruce for s moment as he watched him nod his head at him through the corner of his eye lightly.

"Well we have money and that is what we can offer you.it is a great deal and we are willing to pay you any amount that you desire." Zach said to him.

He watched as Ronaldo’s gaze flickered towards Bruce as he hummed before looking over him.

"I have heard quite a bit from you but now I want to hear from him." Ronaldo said as he pointed towards Bruce.

Bruce looked towards him with a quirked eyebrow as he seemed shocked by the fact that his attention had been drawn towards him. "I?" he asked.

"Yes I can tell that you clearly do not desire to be a part of any of this. So how about you tell me why I should want to work with you. Why should I take your money even after everything that has happened. Why should I still want to continue with all of this." Ronaldo said to him.

"Zach is the one who is in charge and I fully trust any decision that he makes on behalf of all of us. He is the head of the smiths family and. I know that he would never make any decision that would end up affecting us negatively." Bruce said to him in a slightly cold tone.

He didn’t like this one bit but He had to keep reminding himself that Zach knew what he was doing and whatever this was, was only temporary and eventually they would be able to get themselves passed this charade.

"Yes I know that Zach speaks for you and that you have some form of undeniable loyalty towards him and that is something that I admire. I implore that all of my men hold an undeniable level of loyalty to me but that isn’t what I am asking. What I am asking is how do you feel about this. Do you really want to form an alliance with me." Ronaldo said to him.

Bruce. Looked towards Zach for a moment as he watched something flicker through his eyes.

Bruce cleared his throat before he decided to speak up. "Well in all honesty the truth is that I don’t." Bruce said and he watched as a bright smile made its way onto Ronaldo’s face.

"Well you see right there, I knew that there was something up but finally I see that there is at least one person here who is willing to tell me the truth." Ronaldo said to him as he cheered.

"But that isn’t my decision to make. I think the person that you should be speaking with is Zach." Bruce said to him but he watched as he shook his head.

"How about you tell me why you don’t want me to help you by providing you with my services." He said to him with a quirked brow.

He watched as he shrugged his shoulders at him before a bright grin made its way onto his face and Ronaldo watched as he slowly stood up to his feet before he slowly made his way over towards him.

He leaned in towards Ronaldo’s ear and he watched as Ronaldo tensed for a moment as he looked up towards him with furrowed brows as he quirked a brow at him.

"If I were you I would really consider taking this deal/." He said to him in a whisper.

"And why is that." Ronaldo said to him as her felt his interest pick up slightly.

"Well let us just say that I have been keeping my tabs in the people in the city and Lillard seems to have gotten quite upset recently." Bruce said to him and he watched as Ronaldo stiffened on his seat slightly.

His movements were subtle and they could have easily gone unnoticed by anyone else but Bruce noticed it.

"And why is it that he is upset." Ronaldo said to him as he tried to keep his voice monotone.

"Because he has come to learn that Zach is trying to form an alliance with you and he doesn’t want that to happen." Bruce said to him.

He watched as Ronaldo’s brows furrowed as he looked at him in confusion. "But why would that cause him to be angered. What does Lillard have to do with Zach." He said to him as he glanced briefly towards Zach who seemed to be oblivious to the conversation that was going on.

"Well you know that all roads lead to the royals and this time it leads to one royal ion particular." Bruce said to him and he watched as Ronaldo began to think over it as he began to connect the dots in his head.

"Candice." He said to him in a mutter and he watched as Bruce smirked.

"Well I would be careful if I were you I wouldn’t want to anger the princess but I think it is a bad idea for you to align yourself with Zach wouldn’t want you to get in trouble with the royals and have them coming after you. You would want to stay within the lines and the last thing that you need is to get in their cross hairs." Bruce said to him with finality before he slowly pulled away from him.

Ronaldo was quiet for a moment ass he took as minute to go over the words that Bruce had spoken.

He didn’t understand it at first but slowly he found himself coming to realize that the reason hat Lillard was upset was because of his ties with Candice.

He weas on her aside and because of the fact that Candice and Zach were caught between a feud with one another he didn’t want Zach to make any more alliances ort to gorm any more friendships and it would mean that the chances of him winning would be greater.

He knew better that to get himself involved in matters such as this one but there was some of the words that Bruce had spoken which had stuck to the back of his mind.

He may not have been one to get caught between the winds of two warring sides but that didn’t mean that he was one to back down so easily either.

He wasn’t going to be pushed down or told what to do so easily and maybe there was even a part of him that found the thought of getting involved in the feud somewhat intriguing.

"so I know that you don’t want to get involved in all of this and the last thing that you need is to get caught up in it all." Bruce said to him.

"well I don’t take orders from Lillard and his anger is none of my concern. I will do as I please." Ronaldo said to him after a moment.

Bruce was quiet at first as he furrowed his brows at him before speaking up.

"But what about the consequences. As an ally you would get caught between the fight and they will come after you as well. I thought that you are still yet to trust us why would you want to get yourself involved in something as tedious as this." He asked him through furrowed brows.

"Well I can take care of myself and Lillard is the least of my problems. If I want to form an alliance with someone there is no one that is going to stop me from doing so and especially not someone like Lillard. So if I want to accept Zach’s offer then I am going to be doing it on my own terms. Because I can take care of myself and anyone or anything that comes for me is going to simply have to send their men to their deaths because I will always win. Lillard is nothing more than a pawn. An innocent dog all bark and no bite. He is the last of those that I would fear." Ronaldo announced firmly.
