Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 503: Shifted Environment

Chapter 503: Shifted Environment

The raid within the Boss Room proceeded quite smoothly ever since Gentle Wind and Autumn Breeze were assigned the task of waking up the distorted Tanks.

Due to the large numbers on the raid, Xu Feng could afford to have three players doing another task whereas the rest continued to focus on dealing with the other Elite Enemies.

Although there were times when players got hit with petrification, the Clerics were quick on their feet, using the water acquired from the Cracked Fountains that were scattered across the 10 passages to cleanse their status.

Since petrification was considered a category curse type, the waters in the Cracked Fountain could cleanse through it. This was also hinted quite earlier on during the system prompt message when they entered.

Thus, Xu Feng had the others to gather all the waters available in their respective Cracked Fountain precisely for this moment.

It was only a pity that a distorted state could not be considered a type of curse, given it was the player's own disillusion of mistaking enemies and allies.

Think of the situation similar to a scenario when players had friendly fire on an FPS game, and they accidentally fired their gun at their teammate, thinking it was an enemy. The bullet would naturally hurt the teammate, but the person who fired it wasn't under any curses.

They were merely dumb or too focused to pay attention to their surroundings and shot based on instinctive reaction.

"Good, keep it up, and don't worry too much about being unable to parry the petrifying effect." Xu Feng praised the Clerics' quick reaction while subtly informing the others to stop any attempt at parrying.

And without much surprise, numerous players understood his subtle meaning. They were just too terrible in their timing and skill, so Xu Feng decided to avoid such extensive and high-level play altogether.

Rather than treating them as elites, Xu Feng was now treating them as babies who needed to be catered 24/7.

Naturally, it wasn't a great feeling to be treated as such, but none dared to voice out their complaints or disgruntled thoughts.

Time quickly went by, and by now, Xu Feng had already commanded the group to rotate a minimum of 5 times.

It was tedious, but the situation turned for the better when the distorted Tanks soon came back to their senses shortly after getting blasted by Gentle Wind and Autumn Breeze.

Of course, most of the recovered Tanks had their faces flushed in redness, especially when they recalled how their morale shouting was actually toward their allies.

However, thanks to Xu Feng's strong presence, these recovered Tanks managed to avoid humiliation temporarily. It was temporary because once the raid was over, the others would definitely spread this news out.

After all, Xu Feng wouldn't care about what happened after the riad.

"Okay, just a few more rotations, and these Elite Enemies would fall." Xu Feng informed everyone, his eyes subtly glancing at Carmen, who was providing the greatest contribution.

With Carmen taking on two Riftborn Sorcerers all along, it had alleviated the predicament they were in and lessened the danger of the Petrifying Wardens.

The two were supposed to work together, with the Riftborn Sorcerers being their main source of damage once the petrification went through.

Yet their plan had been foiled with Carmen's surge of power, utilizing all her Tier 1 skills without holding back.

Although Xu Feng wanted to warn her not to use them too frequently, in fear of her losing out her mana before the actual boss fight, he dared not interrupt her.

Carmen was currently in the zone, and interrupting her zone moment would have been disastrous. The zone was a term that players in the Divine World used to describe certain individuals when they were displaying their peak performance.

When confronting those who were in the zone, the chance of winning was extremely slim.

Hence, Xu Feng refrained from distracting her and focused on commanding.

"Flint, start creating an obstruction between the last few Petrifying Wardens." Xu Feng ordered and summoned his Abyssal Phantom after sacrificing some of his health points.

"Everyone, on my mark." As he trailed off from it, Xu Feng patiently waited for Flint to cut off the Wardens from being next to each other.

"Now, fire all your spells and attacks at the right side."

Shortly after, a rainbow of colorful spells launched decisively at the right side, creating a chain of explosions.

A shrieking roar echoed through the Boss Room before numerous Wardens crumbled and turned into nothing more than a pile of regular stones.

And as if it was a coincidence, Carmen also activated Void Devour on the two weakened Riftborn Sorcerers, effectively killing them at the same time.

"Phew, their defenses were quite a nuisance." Carmen clasped her hands and commented. Had it not been for their high defense, Carmen could have already dealt enough for her to lethally kill them earlier.

My Virtual Library Empire

Void Devour was an exclusive skill under the Voidmancer Class, and it was capable of being an executioner skill.

So long as the enemies fell under a certain health after getting hit by her other Void skill such as Void Grip, then she could execute them.

The only downside was that the mana consumption was high, with a long cooldown.

Therefore, she didn't use them during the clearing of the passage because the debuffs were still active.

If she used the skill while still under the debuff influence, then she wouldn't have gotten it back.

Though the main cause was the mana consumption was high with the debuff, so she never really got enough mana to cast Void Devour.

While this had happened, Xu Feng noticed some were starting to relax themselves, seemingly trying to take a break before dragging the other Elite Enemies.

"What are you all doing?" Xu Feng hissed coldly. "Quickly consume the potions that I have sold to you and recover as fast as possible. The Golem Sentinel would be active in a few seconds!"

After his words echoed through the room, the ground beneath them began to shift. The floor rose and fell in jagged sections, resembling a staircase with uneven steps of varying heights.

Some platforms shot up several feet, while others sank lower, creating a chaotic terrain where no two areas were on the same level.

"This is where the real challenge begins." Xu Feng explained, his eyes narrowing at the far dormant Golem Sentinel glinting in a cold light.
