Chapter 502: Clever Lanceroy
Chapter 502: Clever Lanceroy
Shortly after Xu Feng commanded everyone to begin rotating, their original position started to crumble.
A second later of their rotation, tiles of concrete started falling into an empty darkness. Without a doubt, if they were even a little bit late in the rotation, they would have fallen to death, wasting their precious revival limit.
Fortunately, the distorted Tanks, who were focused on charging after them, managed to avoid death in time as well.
However, much of the credit was given to Flint, who had especially isolated them yet created somewhat safe passages for these Tanks to rush forward.
Otherwise, they would have been dead by now if Flint focused completely on deflecting them away.
"How long are they going to be distorted for?" Veronica expressed her concern at those currently confused Tanks at who their allies and enemies were.
Right after Veronica raised her question, one of the distorted Tanks sneered coldly and found an opening amidst the crack during the rotation.
Without hesitation, they activated their taunt skill, followed by a Lance Breaker.
Initially, Xu Feng was prepared to assist the targeted person, but when he realized who the Tank was targeting, he nearly slipped out a chuckle.
'Holy macaroni! They sure are the greatest elites!' At this point, Xu Feng had to praise them for managing to choose the one player that they should avoid at all costs.
Of all the people this particular Tank could go after, he chose Carmen.
Carmen?
The only Tier 1 Player in this current raid! They sure were clever and amazing in their judgment.
"Ignore that Tank and continue to blockade the other distorted ones. They should snap out of it soon, but that one who is targeting Lunar Wraith. One of the Clerics, just get ready to revive them." Xu Feng brushed the matter aside and shifted his attention, much to the confusion of others.
However, their confusion would soon be resolved, given that they felt a strong gust of wind.
Following the gust of wind, was the clever Tank being sent flying all across the room, crashing heavily on the wall before collapsing on the floor.
At the same time, within the list of players shown in their interface, one of them had their name grayed out: Lanceroy.
Yup, Lanceroy was the clever Knight Lancer Class who found an opening to penetrate the backline but chose to target Carmen.
"Um, Raid Leader, that Lanceroy got sent too far. My revive skill can't reach him." One of the Clerics smiled bitterly and explained the circumstances.
As much as they wanted to revive their fallen teammate, they were too far. Additionally, the space between them was caused by a bottomless pit.
Realizing the situation, Xu Feng twitched his eyelid and turned to Carmen.
"Did you have to knock him that far away?" He asked in a bewildered tone.
Carmen shrugged in response. "Not my fault that he came straight charging at me with a hideous face. He got foolishly hit with the distortion of reality despite your warning and dared to charge at me? I'm already being lenient by not throwing him straight down the bottomless pit."
Clearly, Carmen was furious that she was chosen as a target out of everyone in her proximity.
Was she the weakest in their group?
Or did Lanceroy believe she was fragile or would go frantic mode?
If she didn't teach Lanceroy a fierce lesson and give a stern warning with that demonstration to the others, then they might really take her for a joke.
Having experienced the onslaught and chase from the Reaver Guild Hundred Ghost, Carmen refused to allow herself to be labeled as a weakling.
If she wanted to have fun, then she must demonstrate a dominating force that deterred everyone from daring to mess with her.
Meanwhile, Xu Feng found his mouth agape after hearing her response.
'Damn, she's starting to show signs of being the demoness.' He began to worry that Carmen was being affected by the environment and slowly turned to another persona.
Luckily, his worries were unfounded when Carmen's expression returned to normal after her gaze met his.
"Anyway, Raid Leader, should I start targeting the Riftborn Sorcerers solely?" She suggested softly, finding them more nuisances than the Petrifying Wardens.
The petrification done by those new Wardens might be a pain to deal with, but it was not as much as having to deal with corrupted raid members.
Pondering for a second, Xu Feng ultimately nodded his head and permitted Carmen to do whatever she wanted, albeit with a few exceptions.
"You are not allowed to deviate from the group too much, and when I said rotate, you must do so regardless of the situation." Xu Feng emphasized the word rotation.
That was because most of the time, players' egos would rise when their enemies were about to be killed, but also just a tad bit from dying.
Thus, they would usually continue to rush ahead to finish off the killing, but that was an incorrect move.
Without proper preparation and vision of the other enemies, the hunter could easily become prey in an instant. And Carmen was the most important player in the raid, so he couldn't afford her to die from trying to chase after low HP enemies.
"Okay, I understand." Carmen didn't argue one bit and swiftly agreed to Xu Feng's demand.
In the next moment, she started to target one Riftborn Sorcerer without the help of anyone.
"Alright, there's no need to mind Lunar Wraith's action." Xu Feng clasped his hands at those in the back, who had watched Carmen strayed off from the formation.
He then turned around and commanded, "Gentle Wind and Autumn Breeze. I'll need the two of you to start hitting the distorted Tanks. Don't use your overpower spells, but a weaker one. The distorted Tanks might snap out of their state soon, but if you damage them, it would also hasten the speed."
"Why not leave it to me then?" Iceheart suddenly chimed in, holding her large Claymore sword.
"No, I need them to do magical damage on their armors specifically. If you do it, then you might shatter their equipment altogether." Xu Feng quickly denied the notion and explained his reason.
