Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1075: Beacon Shrine

Chapter 1075: Beacon Shrine

Stupefied by another sudden lore drop, Xu Feng realized he was in deep trouble. The mere fact that his every action was changing and altering the environment meant it was on par with the main storyline.

Just one tiny mishap and he could possibly lose all his progress.

This was the kind of mission that required long-term planning and strategy to implement.

It was definitely not something he could accomplish in a quick manner.

"Can the awakening be concealed from the true enemy?" Xu Feng asked in concern.

Unfortunately, Arthur shook their head and explained, "It cannot be concealed, and it’s too late to undo anything. When I first beckoned for you, I sensed the awakening process. By then, even I’m powerless in the overall situation and could only guide you to swiftly activate the Beacon."

To summarize, Arthur’s plan was to help him speedrun the Beacon Shrine in a rush for time. After all, for all the Phantasm Fish to be gathered in one spot and raise their requests to him required someone to orchestrate from behind the scenes.

Who else could it be other than Arthur who held such influence and power here? Without his maneuvering, Xu Feng seriously doubted he could gain so much merit and approval in a short span of time.

"Alright, I’ve said enough. You have gained the right to enter the Beacon Shrine. But keep in mind. The entities in the Beacon Shrine may be just remnants of the Sirens, but they are alive." Arthur warned sternly.

He didn’t wish for Xu Feng to offend the remnants, which would result in failure.

"Thank you for the warning." Xu Feng cupped his fist and gave his gratitude.

Sometime later, Arthur guided Xu Feng to the entrance of the Beacon Shrine.

Arthur told Xu Feng to wait a little bit by the side while he swam forward and glanced at the large door.

"Dear Sirens of the shrine, I have brought forth the Sea Traveler who has gained the merits and approvals to seek entry." Arthur declared solemnly.

Soon, the unveiled scales that were initially stored in Xu Feng’s inventory flew out of the space. They all floated and began hovering around Arthur, who was exuding a profound aura.

His fish body glowed in a golden light, almost as if he were about to ascend to godhood.

"Many centuries have passed by, but destiny did not forsake us. The long-awaited Sea Traveler has made their presence. I beseeched the Sirens to greet him and give the Phantasm Sea a chance to revive to its former state."

The whole process was like a ritual, and Xu Feng was once again astonished by the deep lore involved in the Phantasm Sea.

’I swear to god. That fucking player who decided to not do this mission must be banging their head in bitterness if they learn about what they missed.’

He couldn’t understand why anyone would forgo this kind of opportunity.𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

With such a ceremony’s "cut scene" like play, the benefit in the end must be bountiful.

Sometime later, the large door made a creaking sound, followed by a voice.

"Let the Sea Traveler enter only."

As if anticipating such a response, Arthur simply bowed his head slightly before returning to Xu Feng’s side.

"Sea Traveler, I won’t be able to accompany you. But fret not, there won’t be any danger. The remnants just want to test if you’re worthy enough." He explained.

Xu Feng nodded in understanding. He heeded the warning and swam toward the shrine.

Once he entered the shrine, the door behind closed tightly. The luminous atmosphere also turned somewhat dark.

’Not this again,’ Xu Feng was getting tired of all these pretentious scenarios. To appear holy or prestigious, these people tend to darken the environment and then have a spotlight just for them.

Sure enough, a few seconds later, three lights flashed in front of him. Afterward, three Siren’s remnants emerged supposedly out of nowhere. They totally and definitely didn’t hide in the dark and rush over to the lights.

Nevertheless, Xu Feng feigned to be astonished and hurriedly greeted them with respect.

"Greetings, Seniors, I’m the Sea Traveler." He cupped his fist and introduced himself. By now, he knew the title Sea Traveler was solidified, so he accepted his fate.

Moreover, having such a title made things easier for him anyway.

The three Siren’s remnants didn’t respond right away. Instead, they put on an act and gazed at him solemnly, almost as if they were trying to analyze his character.

A few seconds later, one of the Siren’s remnants finally spoke up, "Not bad for a Sea Traveler. You were able to receive the approval and blessing from the Phantasm Fish at a decent speed."

"It’s just a pity that your level seemed too low." Another Siren’s remnant suddenly chimed in. "To be able to survive in the Phantasm Sea at such a level is quite a miracle."

"I suppose this is the destiny of a Sea Traveler. Maybe there really is hope for us." The third Siren’s remnant commented.

’Great, aren’t we just repeating and echoing what you heard from outside?’ Xu Feng sighed inwardly.

Their words were nearly identical to what Arthur had uttered, which made him believe these remnants had been eavesdropping for a long time.

If anything, this was blatant plagiarism while trying to act majestic.

This was the Beacon Shrine?

More like Fakecon Shrine!

Despite feeling cheated, Xu Feng had to put on a junior look and nod his head repeatedly. Since he was the one who needed their help, it was only natural that he should give them some face.

If one doesn’t even know such a basic rule, then they were destined to never survive in the real world.

Pride or honor cannot feed a family. That was only a luxury for the wealthy.

"I have listened to the Senior’s advice." Xu Feng said and inquired, "May I know what the test is for me to activate the Beacon? Sir Arthur mentioned that I needed to pass some tests to proceed with the motion."
