I looked back at the boss’s shattered remains. Several small glowing orbs hovered there, alongside a brightly shining red treasure chest.
“Wow, is this a dungeon reward? Monsters don’t usually drop treasure chests though…?” I wondered, rubbing my chin.
“No, this is the Reward System, Sylphy—it’s active now!” Alice explained. “Come here.”
She guided me over. I picked up the palm-sized golden crystal orbs; they vanished into my inventory the moment I touched them.
The treasure chest disappeared the same way.
“What?”
New system messages appeared before me.

“A new item crafted from leftover soul essence,” Alice explained. “These will strengthen and expand your Soul, making Cultivation, Mana control, and utilization much easier.”
“Oohh!” I nodded eagerly.
“They can serve as Materials too,” Armageddon added. “You could substitute them in place of certain items.”
“Oooohhhh!” I was thrilled. “Alright, let’s absorb a few and see how it feels…!”
I pressed my hand against the first one. It shattered into soul particles that my soul eagerly absorbed.
A wave of warm energy flowed into me, filling me with pure exhilaration.
“Oh, this feels incredible~ What the hell?” I said happily. “Hahaha! I love this sensation…”
I absorbed three more before feeling satisfied—and somehow, Demonic Energy began stirring inside me.
“Huh?”
“Though they aren’t true souls, the system registers them as such,” Alice said.
“Wow!” I exclaimed. “I had no idea… Wait, maybe Red can finally consume some souls?”
As I spoke, Red’s many bodies turned toward me. Every one of them had their tongues hanging out, drooling as they stared longingly at the Soul Orb in my hand.
Huh, okay, I get it, looks like he wants to try them!
