Chapter 1975: Going Completely All-Out!
Chapter 1975: Going Completely All-Out!
—–
After the powerful boss monster proved incredibly resilient—even capable of negating my own elements, especially fire—I realized taking her down would not be easy.
I had wanted to fight alone this entire time, but without spamming all-destructive spells that would collapse the dungeon and defeat the entire purpose of coming here, I had to rely on my familiars.
Tier 9 monsters were manageable, but the higher the Rank within Tier 9, the greater the power gap. As a fresh Tier 9 Rank 1, I was struggling.
If I went completely berserk, I might destroy her, but the mountain would likely explode with her.
I had to learn how to compress my power. Her immense aura of miasma and spiritual energy suppressed my flames completely.
It was the worst possible matchup for me, yet I was not alone. My power was never truly mine alone—my spirits and familiars were my strength, just as I was theirs.
In this world, Adventurers, Heroes, and others do not cultivate power in isolation. They forge pacts with spirits and beasts, growing strong together.
My parents had always told me that without these soul bonds—contracts with spirits and powerful monster familiars—it was impossible to ascend to higher realms.
My rapid growth was undoubtedly thanks to all the little friends I had made here.
They were my strength, and I was theirs.
“Let’s go!”
I roared in unison with Armageddon and Nephilim. The three of us charged at the same moment, crashing into the Dryad while tearing through her army of monsters.
CRAAASH!
We fought as one, forcing the giant dryad backward, shattering her arms and driving her into a corner with blazing auras.
BOOOMMM!!!
Our combined divine and fiery auras ignited her instantly. The ground beneath us, the ceiling above, and the walls behind her began to melt as flames roared everywhere.
“YOU…! DAMN…!”
The giantess roared, inhaling deeply before exhaling an unbelievably cold wind. The air froze us solid into statues in an instant. She smiled cruelly, swinging her regrowing arms to shatter us into pieces.
However—
“Divine Domain Expansion – Absolute Spirit Inferno!”
“Divine Domain Expansion – Angelic Demonic Void!”
“Divine Domain Expansion – Dragon God’s Volcanic World!”
All three of us unleashed our Divine Domain Expansions—the evolved form of Domains, themselves the evolution of Auras. Infusing our auras into the world created small Domains; Divine Domain Expansions completely encased enemies within an overlapping, alternate space.
Three barriers overlapped at once, shattering the absolute freezing ice and freeing us. At the same moment, the crushing pressure of our combined domains engulfed her, tearing half her body apart.
“GAAAAHHHHHH!”
An inferno of flames shaped like monstrous insects surged forth, followed by a void split between celestial holy light and demonic darkness, then a volcanic world where giant dragons of spirit flame erupted and attacked.
These were still-developing Domain Expansions. Mine overlapped with another… a Skill.
“Heavenly Thunder Divine Domain!”
And…
“Divine Void Star Dragon Aura Domain!”
A Domain of Divine Thunder manifested, lightning infusing space itself and striking her relentlessly. It merged with my second Domain—the result of Skill Fusion—birthing the Divine Void Star Dragon Domain. A colossal void dragon emerged from my aura, spreading a starry void and unleashing dozens of explosive void stars.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The giantess groaned in agony, swinging her massive hands and summoning enormous icicle spears. I swung Ruby swiftly, splitting them apart as thunder, void, and flames erupted from each strike. At the same time, I let Sapphire absorb as much damage as possible before unleashing it all against her.
“Now, Sapphire!”
FLAAASH!
Sapphire’s dark blue hue shifted to deep crimson. Her dragon-head decorations opened wide, unleashing a gigantic beam of concentrated energy that pierced the Dryad’s chest and shattered part of her Spiritual Heart.
BOOOMMM!!!
She was hurled backward, crashing through forests and walls, deeper into the mountain. We pursued without hesitation.
Armageddon roared, transforming into a literal star of burning fire. He reached the Dryad and detonated in front of her as the ice giantess desperately tried to hold her ground with frost.
FLAAASH!
Though she somehow endured, Nephilim caught up. Her Domain expanded, overwriting the boss’s powers and weakening her frost while her holy and demonic spears thrust forward, piercing the giantess’s back and riddling it with dozens of explosive holes.
“NO…! NOOOO!”
BOOOMMM!!!
The gigantic boss exploded into countless fragments. Her core and Spiritual Heart shattered together. Armageddon’s reckless charge left behind a massive, burning magma cave, but the rest of the dungeon… held, more or less.
“Hahaha! Taste the wrath of a true spirit goddess!” Armageddon laughed triumphantly. “Now—Ugh?!”
But the fragments of the dryad—and even her shattered hearts—began gathering once more. Her spiritual soul endured! Of course—she was a spirit-type monster.
Her corrupted spiritual soul, steeped in miasma, swelled larger. It absorbed the fragments and transformed into a towering giantess of shadows, miasma, purple flames, and purple ice.
Intense frost and corruption surged over Armageddon, sealing her in dark purple and black ice, cursing her very existence.
“D-Damn it! What the hell is this?!”
As she struggled, Nephilim swiftly absorbed the darkness with her demonic spear, then channeled it into her holy spear. She thrust forward; angelic power surged like beams of blinding light, bombarding the dryad’s semi-transformed state.
While Nephilim distracted her, I charged. I concentrated and compressed my Quintuple Yggdragon Aura into my body through Yggdragon Aura Fusion, shifting into my divine dragon princess form and rushing straight at her.
“Enough is enough! Rest in peace already!”
Without mercy, I unleashed a three-hit combo using my swordsmanship arts.
“Holy Blazing Dragon Blade Arts.”
“First Form – Holy Dragon Blazing Fangs!”
“Holy Blazing Dragon Blade Arts!”
“Second Form – Holy Dragon Infernal Claw!”
“Holy Blazing Dragon Blade Arts!”
“Third Form – Heavenly Dragon Ascent!!!”
The Spirit of Strength manifested through my movements, fueling my physical power. Celestial dragon fangs, infernal claws, and blazing ascending dragons pierced the still-recovering monster, completely decimating her once and for all.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
BOOOMMM!!!
Her Spirit Body was finally vanquished and exorcised. Her very being ceased to exist, dying for good.
“Phew, we did it,” I sighed in relief. “Just what the hell was that thing? She was way too dangerous.”
“That’s the power of a corrupted monster of her caliber…” Nephilim sighed. “The curse must be incredibly strong—and so is its wielder… Shall we take a break?”
“Yeah, let’s—Oh?!”
As I started to sit down, a flood of notifications appeared.
