Chapter 1711: Escaping
Chapter 1711: Escaping
—–
Within the Mindscape, Aquarina and her friends were being overwhelmed by the power of the entity that had dragged them there.
Aquarina could instantly tell this monster held some sort of Divine Power, because no normal creature could have easily dragged their minds out of their bodies so easily like that.
However, Divine Power could do a lot of things, and it specially dealt with things such as the Mind and the Soul.
Aquarina was still trying to think of a solution, but it seemed the new ally they made in their way through the cliffs came to their aid.
Quetzalcoatl, the last member of the Wind Tribe.
Using his incredible powers, he manifested a mighty Avatar within the Mindscape, with the shape and form of the Great Spirit of the Cliff Winds, which he had described earlier.
There were many questions within everyone’s minds, especially when Aquarina realized that Quetzalcoatl also held divine spiritual power within him.
Rather than the Great Spirit of the Cliff Winds disappearing, she began to think that it must have not truly died.
He was eaten, or something like that.
She could barely think straight right now, but she imagined that through his struggle for thousands of years, Quetzalcoatl actually fought the Great Spirit.
It might have been that the Great Spirit tried to stop him this whole time, and ultimately, succumbed to the power he had granted to his priest, absorbed.
But Spirits don’t truly “die” their energies simply evolve, change and transform.
Quetzalcoatl could have absorbed the Great Spirit, undergoing an incredible Soul Metamorphosis, his soul was now the same as the Great Spirit of the Cliff Winds!
This revelation, which not even Quetz could believe, shook everyone’s hearts to their core.
And yet, with the current situation, they had no such time to wonder and worry about these things.
They had to escape and survive, no matter what!
And so, with the combination of their elements and powers, and their imagination, Aquarina commanded her friends, Justicio, Silvia, and Agua to fight back the entity within this mindscape, the monster that trapped them here, which Aquarina believed to be stronger than any of the Ant Queens they’ve fought before.
A downpour of elemental attacks descended from the fiery skies, as Aquarina and her friends unleashed an endless barrage of elemental attacks, further boosted by their own imagination and what they wanted to do with their powers.
Their “ideal form” as they imagined, manifested within the mindscape, clashing against the mysterious entity’s “projectiles” which were actually ant-like beings made of volcanic stone and flames.
They were able to rapidly destroy most of these creatures, but more kept appearing, until Agua imagined her “ideal form” unleashing her Water Spirit Physique to its limits and transforming into a Spirit herself, similar to the Great Spirit of the Oasis!
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say all her friends were shocked and flabbergasted when they saw such an absolute form, even if this was an imaginary realm, it was as if Agua had reached the realm of the gods, even if only as a false form within a world of the mind and imagination.
With all her power Agua unleashed a downpour of endless water towards everything, the projectiles and even the monster beneath were easily drowned by her waters, which were endless, like an endlessly swirling, icy ocean that encompassed and devoured everything.
SPLAAAASH!
As she unleashed her attack, the cold water encompassed the inferno entirely until all the flames were turned off, the red color of the realm changed, becoming blue for a moment, as the flames completely disappeared.
This caused the monster within the depths to experience great pain, as they heard the scream of the entity coming from below!
“COME… BACK HEREEEEEE…!”
RUMBLE!
When they were but a few hundred meters from reaching the hole and escaping, hundreds of gigantic insectoid claws covered in flames emerged from every single angle within the Mindscape’s space! Aquarina and her friends panicked, and yet, Quetzalcoatl glared back at the creature.
“THAT’S IT! STOP!”
FLUOOOSH!
With his newly discovered powers, he unleashed a mighty attack, a tornado that pushed away all the insectoid claws only a second before they passed through the hole!
FLASH!
Bright white light encompassed everyone’s minds as they felt like they were being squeezed into their own vessels, finally back into their respective bodies.
The process was instant, yet it felt very strange and scary for them.
“W-We’re back!” Silvia cried. “My body! I missed you!”
“W-What the hell was that?! Dammit! I don’t want to do this ever again!” Justicio complained.
“It was so scary…” Agua muttered. “But at the same time, I feel like I was able to unleash more of my powers there… I feel strangely different, somehow… Like I got a hang of how to use them better now!”
“I feel strange as well… My Soul, just what is it? What have I become?” Quetzalcoatl wondered.
They felt relieved they were back; they had never experienced such a terrific out of body experience before!
“Wait, you’re right…” Aquarina nodded. “And- Huh?!
RUMBLE!
Only to be greeted by a chaotic battlefield outside, as they saw hundreds of flying ants covered in flames, buzzing and spitting giant fireballs from their mandibles.
While this happened, a giant blue colored psychic barrier protected everyone from the incoming projectiles, Pyuku was conjuring it, while firing hundreds of Slime Bullets from his body, trying to buy time for everyone else.
With him was Undine and Leviathan, mightily fighting the Ants with their powerful Spiritual Magic and Skills, but the three alone weren’t enough.
Khepri was by their side as well, having already summoned all three of her armaments and combining them into a female-like mechanical golem, battling the ants with her life on the line.
“E-Everyone! Are you finally back?! We have to fight back or escape!” Pyuku said. “There’s a swarm of like two hundred flying ants everywhere!”
“They’re very hardy to take down as well!” Undine said. “They’re all Tier 7!”
“Roooaaarr!” Leviathan called for Aquarina.
“Silvia! You’re finally back! Hurry up and get inside!” Khepri rushed towards them.
BBBZZZZTTTT!
As they finally opened their eyes, they were immediately forced to fight for their lives.
