Chapter 1710: Battle Of Mind And Soul
—–
Through this entire time, Aquarina had guessed a few things already. Her analytic abilities weren’t the best of the best, but in these situations of life and death, she was well known for becoming a bit different, as if adrenaline made her much smarter and brighter.
As long as it had to do with surviving and battling, Aquarina was able to rapidly adapt and overcome challenges like nobody else out there, besides Sylphy.
From what happened to them, to how Quetz got here, she figured it out accurately! Apparently, according to her words, the foe that had trapped them within this Mindscape after they “grasped” their combined aura must be immensely powerful.
Tier 8 Ant Queens? They couldn’t even hold a candle to whatever this monstrosity was, and it was smart enough to even speak their language.
Aquarina could only estimate… But this thing must be at the peak of Tier 9, bordering Tier 10 at the bare minimum.
And the reason why Quetz was able to break into this powerful Mindscape was because he was also someone of immense power, way above Tier 8 himself.
However, there was something she speculated, that both the monster that trapped them and Quetz possessed Divine Power within them.
Perhaps Quetzalcoatl and his original powers have evolved over thousands of years, tied to a powerful Great Spirit of Winds, the Spirit perhaps didn’t just disappear.
Aquarina for a moment imagined that… Quetzalcoatl, at some point, could have devoured the Great Spirit on his feral rampage, absorbing his powers!
However, she wasn’t too sure… Although looking at his soul and how it was shaped exactly like how he described the Great Spirit to look like…
Well, it made her think about a lot of things.
However, there was no time to think, even less to talk, it was time to fight for their lives!
“We don’t have time to talk about this right now, we have to fight while Quetz flies us out of here! Only for a few couple more seconds, do something you three!”
Seeing how things were currently, Aquarina wasn’t going to sit down and explain things to them, her friends nodded, knowing full well there wasn’t any other option either way.
However, they were still slightly confused about how to fight, as they felt rather strange here. Their bodies were there and yet not, for people that specialized in drawing power from their physiques, it was indeed a terrible matchup for them to be trapped within a Mindscape.
“This is a mindscape, in here the power of your Mind and your Soul are everything!”
As Aquarina explained, her Aura constantly transformed, forming massive draconic claws of darkness, ice, and water, tearing through the meteors coming their way, which were actually in the shape of giant ants made of stone and flames.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
“Mana and other energies apply a lot too but aren’t everything either! Use your imagination and shape it into attacks! This is a battle of mind and souls!”
Through her battle, she showed them how to do it, they had to imagine things, they had to project something and then pour their Mana into it.
And then, as a Mindscape, it would quickly manifest it!
“Minds and souls…?!” Silvia asked.
“So we have to use our imagination, got it!” Justicio nodded, smiling.
“T-This is a bit complicated…!” Agua cried.
They were still rather confused about the entire ordeal, but as Aquarina said, there was no time to worry about such things, it was now or never.
“Imagine… Imagine…!”
Silvia closed her eyes, realizing Khepri wasn’t there to help her out.
But that was fine, if imagination was all she needed…
“I can do this, yeah!”
Her aura expanded into gold and silver, combining into a gigantic mass of mechanical and metallic threads.
They unified together, manifesting a gigantic scarab golem!
“SHYAAAAH!”
The golem rushed down, blocking hundreds of projectiles at the same time.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Justicio glanced down in surprise, realizing that the power they could develop in a Mindscape was much different than outside.
“I see, Silvia made such a ridiculous thing… Then I can surely do it too!”
He closed his eyes and then concentrated, thinking about the metal of his equipment, the stone element he wielded, and of his axe.
“There!”
Like Silvia, threads of metal came together at the same time as tiny rocks unified into gigantic stones and boulders.
With that, he quickly manifested a gigantic pair of axes, which he used to cut through the projectiles.
The axes were perhaps over twenty meters each, as they moved, the sky trembled and rumbled!
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
At the same time, the gigantic spheres of stone glowed brightly, blazing with golden flames, which he fired down towards not the projectiles but…
The monster right below, the one trapping them here!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
“GRAAAACK!”
The monster took some damage, looking clearly annoyed and furious.
RUMBLE!
The entire Mindscape trembled before its wrath and anger, the pain it felt made the Mindscape become destabilized, the hole above the skies grew closer.
As the hole grew closer, Agua conjured her magic, imagining not just her arms, but her entire body becoming water.
She imagined herself similar to the Great Oasis Spirit herself!
FLAAAASH!
And she turned into that, becoming a gigantic, spiritual goddess of water.
“DROWN!”
With a furious voice, Agua unleashed a downpour of endless water towards everything, the projectiles and even the monster beneath was easily drowned by it all.
SPLAAAASH!
As the cold water encompassed the inferno entirely until all the flames were turned off, they heard the scream of the monster beneath.

“CRYAAAAACCK! COME… BACK HEREEEEEE…!”
RUMBLE!
As they were right in front of the hole, hundreds of gigantic insectoid claws covered in flames emerged from every single angle within the Mindscape’s space!
“Ah, shit, shit, shit!”
Aquarina and everyone else panicked, and yet, Quetzalcoatl glared back at the creature.
“ENOUGH.”
FLUOOOSH!
A tornado pushed away all the insectoid claws, a second before they passed through the hole, reaching the other side and regaining their bodies.
Only to be greeted by a chaotic battlefield outside, only being fought by Pyuku and the rest of the Spirits who were protecting them this entire time!
