Chapter 151: Father of this unknown world

The place was covered in an eternal shade of light, illuminating the vast landscape without any visible source of illumination. At its center stood a colossal mountain pillar that pierced through the heavens, its enormous surface stretching upward until it reached the clouds, where its peak had been flattened to accommodate a massive structure.

Upon that flattened peak stood a cobblestone castle, its gray stone walls surrounded by smaller towers and fortified platforms.

Despite its relatively simple appearance, the castle possessed a strange atmosphere that made it feel entirely different from an ordinary building, as though it had been constructed to serve a purpose far greater than merely providing shelter.

Inside the castle, a long table occupied the center of a spacious chamber. Eight chairs surrounded it, with several bookshelves, decorative objects, and various pieces of furniture scattered throughout the room, reflecting the different personalities of those who lived there.

"My dear goblins."

"Father!! You’re back!"

A small goblin immediately rushed toward Double X, throwing his arms around him with an expression of overwhelming happiness.

Double X barely had time to react before the little creature embraced him, causing him to look down with a slightly surprised expression.

"All right, all right. I’m back, aren’t I?" Double X said, gently patting the goblin’s head before looking toward the others. "Now, sit down and tell everyone to gather around the table. We have something important to discuss."

The goblins immediately followed his instructions, with some rushing to their rooms while others hurried toward the meeting chamber.

Within minutes, all eight members of the Goblin Council had gathered around the long table, their attention focused entirely on the individual they affectionately called Father.

There were four female goblins and four male goblins, although two of them were still children who had yet to mature into adulthood.

None of them resembled the stereotypical goblins commonly depicted in games, with their unique appearances reflecting the extraordinary paths they had taken throughout their lives.

One female goblin possessed a pair of magnificent white wings resembling those of an angel, each feather radiating a faint golden glow that illuminated her surroundings.

Another wore a dark cloak that concealed most of her body, leaving only her face and a pair of watchful eyes visible, while the remaining members wore everything from elegant robes and carefully tailored garments to practical armor decorated with intricate patterns and magical ornaments.

Their appearances were equally diverse, ranging from unusually beautiful features to distinctive markings, unusual eyes, and other characteristics that separated them from ordinary goblins.

Although they belonged to the same race, each member of the council had developed their own identity, making the gathering look more like an assembly of extraordinary individuals than a meeting of goblins.

Double X eventually sat at the far end of the table, positioning himself where he could observe everyone at once.

His expression gradually became serious as he looked around the room, realizing that the conversation they were about to have would change the way his children perceived their world.

"Father, is this about the recent invasion?" one of the goblins asked.

Double X slowly nodded. "Yes, and we need to retaliate and formulate a plan. We can’t simply allow something like this to happen without doing anything about it."

"Father, where did those individuals come from? And why do they look so strange?"

Another goblin glanced toward one of her companions before speaking. "Yes, they don’t even have the usual green skin like us, and they appear to be much bigger as well. Some of those creatures were enormous, and I couldn’t even begin to understand how their bodies could grow that large."

Double X listened to their questions before slowly raising his hand. A floating projection appeared above his palm, displaying the stars scattered throughout the vast darkness of space, each one shining like a distant beacon.

"Those individuals are not from here," he explained, his voice carrying an unusual seriousness. "There are other civilizations scattered throughout the stars, and the ones who invaded us are merely one of them."

"Father... you mean every single star?" one of the children asked, its eyes widening. "Aren’t there hundreds of them?"

"There are millions of stars, and there might be millions of civilizations like ours as well," Double X replied. "Each of them could possess individuals capable of destroying us, and we have absolutely no idea how many of them exist or how powerful they might be."

The entire Goblin Council fell silent.

The projection continued floating above Double X’s palm, revealing the incomprehensible vastness of the universe. For the first time, the goblins began to understand that their world was not the entirety of existence, and that the sky they had spent their lives observing concealed countless unknown civilizations.

Their understanding of life had just been shattered.

"Now, we need a plan, and we need an army," Double X declared, breaking the silence. He turned toward the winged goblin and called out, "EAKAKA! Tell me everything, including our army and its current strength."

The winged goblin immediately stood up, spreading her magnificent wings as a magical projection appeared beside her. Numerous figures, numbers, and classifications emerged across its surface, displaying the military strength accumulated by the goblin race throughout its development.

"We currently have thirty-two kingdoms, with an estimated population of forty million goblins," she began. "Our military includes approximately one hundred S-tier goblins, several thousand A-tier goblins, and several million B-tier goblins, with the remaining population consisting of lower-ranked warriors, civilians, and individuals who have yet to receive a formal classification."

She paused briefly before continuing, her expression becoming more solemn. "Beyond those forces, we have our ten Goblin Emperors, each classified as SS-tier, who possess enough strength to command entire armies and defend our kingdoms against powerful enemies. Finally, there is the Goblin Council itself, whose members have reached the SSS-tier classification, making us among the strongest individuals within the entire goblin civilization."

Double X studied the projection, carefully examining every number presented before him. Forty million goblins, ten Goblin Emperors, millions of potential warriors, and eight extraordinary individuals gathered before him, yet even such a formidable civilization suddenly seemed insignificant when compared to the army he had just witnessed.

"These are not enough," he muttered. "We might be able to hold them back temporarily, but we won’t be able to maintain that advantage for long."

"Then what should we do, Father?" one of the goblins asked, its voice carrying a hint of worry.

Double X remained silent for several seconds before looking toward the floating projection of the stars. "We need to increase our population as quickly as possible."

"How do we do that, Father?"

"I’ll take care of it," he answered. "Instead, all of you must prepare yourselves and inform the entire world that an invasion is coming. Strengthen your defenses, gather your warriors, and make sure every kingdom understands the seriousness of this situation."

His expression hardened as he looked at each member of the council. "We cannot allow them to win against us. Whatever happens, we must survive this invasion."

The goblins nodded solemnly, accepting his instructions without further questions. Double X then bid farewell to his children before leaving the castle, using Intangible Spectation to travel toward a secluded cave where he could access his system without interruption.

Inside the dark cavern, he opened his system interface and stared at the available options. He had initially hoped that the other players might somehow help him, but after their conversation, he realized that he could not afford to depend entirely on assistance that might never arrive.

"SYSTEM, USE RACE MAKER!"

The familiar interface appeared before his eyes, displaying the available functions of the ability. Double X immediately selected the race creation option, his expression growing increasingly determined as he began entering the specifications for his intended creation.

"CREATE A RACE WITH THE NAME ’GOBLIN MOTHER OF LIFE.’"

He paused briefly before adding the modifications he considered necessary. "Specific edits: give the race five uteruses and a one hundred percent fertility rate."

[RACE CREATION INITIATED.]

[Processing requested biological modifications...]

[Analyzing compatibility with the existing Goblin Race...]

[Biological specifications accepted.]

[Reproductive anatomy modified according to the requested parameters.]

[Fertility rate established at 100%.]

[RACE CREATION SUCCESSFUL.]

[New Race Registered: Goblin Mother of Life.]

Double X stared at the notifications, his expression gradually relaxing as the system confirmed the successful creation of his new race. With this modification, he hoped to accelerate the growth of the goblin population, providing his civilization with the numbers it desperately needed to survive the coming conflict.

But he wasn’t finished.

"Not only that, I need to create more powerful goblins," he muttered, closing the interface before reopening another section of the system. "If those guys don’t arrive to help me by the time I’m finished preparing, I’ll create even more powerful beings myself."

His expression gradually changed as he remembered the battlefield, the unfamiliar warriors, and the enormous creatures that had appeared alongside them. "I can’t let those bastards hurt my goblins. Not my goblins... not my precious, beautiful goblins."

Double X clenched his fists, his thoughts becoming increasingly chaotic as he imagined the possibility of losing the civilization he had nurtured. These little creatures had accompanied him throughout his journey, and despite their flaws, they were his creations, his children, and the very beings he had come to cherish.

"Even if I have to go against the entire universe, I need to protect them."

He stared at the system interface, his determination growing stronger with every passing second. "I need to... I must do whatever it takes."

Then, his expression twisted into an almost desperate grin.

"Fuck the Karma System."
