Chapter 152: The Mother Goddess of the Goblins

The invasion continued as the forces of Essiel advanced deeper into the unfamiliar world, leaving a trail of destruction wherever they passed.

With their initial targets already overwhelmed, the Twelve Constellations began dividing their forces into three separate groups, each assigned a different direction to ensure that no civilization could escape their advance.

Among the first groups were four individuals who had gathered inside an enormous carriage, traveling alongside rows upon rows of soldiers that stretched across the distant horizon.

The carriage itself was pulled by several enormous beasts, its interior spacious enough to accommodate the four Constellations without forcing them to sit uncomfortably close to one another.

"Just so you know, Magic Swordswoman, you only won because I let you," Lapace the Overproud declared, crossing his arms while leaning against the carriage seat.

"Our battle was practically even, so technically speaking, it doesn’t count as my loss."

Across from him, Magic Swordswoman slowly turned her head, her expression already revealing the exhaustion she had endured throughout their journey.

Sitting beside her was Thousand Petal, who had been quietly observing the scenery outside the carriage, while Onyx Elf remained beside Lapace with his eyes closed, seemingly uninterested in the conversation.

"Lapace, can you shut up for once?" Magic Swordswoman complained, resting her head against her hand. "Ever since we got into this carriage two days ago, you’ve done nothing but spout nonsense about your loss, and as expected from an apostle of the God of Pride, your ego must have taken quite a beating."

"What does that have to do with my god?" Lapace immediately retorted, his eyebrows twitching as he leaned forward. "How about I start insulting your god instead? Let’s see how you feel when someone starts disrespecting the God of Sword in front of you."

Magic Swordswoman narrowed her eyes, clearly tempted to respond, but before she could say anything, Thousand Petal finally turned away from the window.

"You two, stop it already. The God of Sword and the God of Pride are both beneath the Creator, so why are you arguing over something so meaningless when we have an actual mission to complete?"

"Thousand Petal is right," Onyx Elf added without opening his eyes, his voice calm and indifferent.

"If you have enough energy to argue for two consecutive days, perhaps you should use some of it to think about our objectives."

Lapace clicked his tongue in annoyance, leaning back against his seat as he crossed his arms again. "Tsk, I feel like I’m getting ganged up on every time I open my mouth."

"Perhaps that’s because you never know when to close it," Magic Swordswoman replied.

"YOU!"

"Enough!" Thousand Petal interrupted before the argument could continue. "We are approaching unfamiliar territory, and we have no idea what kind of civilizations or enemies we might encounter. The Creator entrusted us with this mission, so we should at least take it seriously."

Lapace remained silent for a few moments, although his expression made it clear that he was still dissatisfied. Eventually, he leaned forward and glanced toward the enormous army marching outside the carriage, a mischievous smile gradually appearing on his face.

"Can’t we just kill them all already and return home?" he asked, sounding genuinely curious. "Actually, I just thought of something. Why don’t we simply charge ahead, massacre everyone we encounter, and return to Essiel once we’re finished?"

Magic Swordswoman stared at him as though she had just heard the most ridiculous suggestion imaginable. "Is an apostle of the God of Pride really that narrow-minded? You’re underestimating our enemies too much, and we have no idea what kind of powers they possess."

"Magic Swordswoman is right," Onyx Elf agreed, finally opening his eyes as he looked toward the distant horizon. "We cannot act recklessly simply because our initial opponents appeared weak. If this world possesses civilizations capable of challenging us, charging blindly into their territory would only create unnecessary risks."

Lapace clicked his tongue again, visibly displeased by the response. "Fine, fine! I’ll shut up, then. Don’t come crying to me when I get bored."

Outside the carriage, thousands of soldiers continued marching beneath the unfamiliar sky, their weapons and armor reflecting the light as the group advanced toward its destination.

None of the four Constellations knew exactly what awaited them, but they understood that the longer they remained in this world, the more likely they were to encounter something beyond their expectations.

Far away, within the unknown lands of Double X’s planet, an entirely different scene was unfolding.

"They’re heading toward the Burrow Kingdom..." a winged goblin muttered, hovering high above the ground as she stared toward the distant horizon. Before her stretched an army with no visible end, its enormous formation advancing across the landscape while the surrounding lands trembled beneath the countless footsteps.

The goblin’s expression became increasingly serious as she recalled the instructions given to her by Double X. "Father said I must stop them at all costs before they advance any deeper into our territory. I need to inform the others immediately."

With that thought, she spread her magnificent wings and accelerated toward the Burrow Kingdom, leaving a trail of faint golden light behind her.

The distance that would have taken an ordinary goblin several days to cross disappeared beneath her extraordinary speed, and before long, the kingdom’s enormous walls came into view.

She descended rapidly toward the center of the kingdom, her feet striking the ground with such force that cracks spread across the stone beneath her. Several nearby goblins stumbled from the sudden impact, while others immediately turned toward the source of the commotion.

"The Mother Goddess has arrived!" one goblin exclaimed, nearly dropping the basket he was carrying.

The announcement spread through the surrounding streets almost instantly, drawing the attention of countless goblins who abandoned their work to catch a glimpse of the winged figure.

The Mother Goddess, as they called her, possessed an appearance that was strikingly different from the ordinary goblins around her, and her magnificent wings only made her seem more extraordinary.

"Bring me to the Emperor," she commanded, looking toward the goblin who had first noticed her arrival.

"Of course, Mother Goddess! Please follow me!"

The young goblin immediately led her toward an enormous building resembling a castle, its towering walls and fortified entrances making it stand out among the surrounding structures.

As they walked through the streets, goblins began gathering around them, their ears twitching excitedly as they whispered among themselves.

"The Goddess is so cute!"

"I wonder how many children she can bear!"

"Don’t even think about it! The Mother Goddess belongs only to the Creator!"

The Mother Goddess ignored their comments, although her expression became slightly uncomfortable as more goblins gathered around her. Some stared at her wings with admiration, while others seemed far more interested in her status.

Eventually, she arrived at the castle’s entrance and proceeded through its enormous doors, stepping into a hall that seemed disproportionately large compared to the buildings outside. At the far end of the chamber sat an enormous green goblin upon a throne so massive that it resembled an entire master bedroom built into a chair.

The Goblin Emperor possessed an ugly, intimidating appearance, with a broad body, thick limbs, and a face covered in rough features that made him look far more imposing than an ordinary goblin.

A gigantic club leaned against the armrest of his throne, and even while seated, his head nearly reached the towering ceiling above him.

The Emperor slowly lowered his gaze toward the winged goblin standing before him, his expression revealing neither surprise nor admiration. After examining her for several seconds, he finally opened his mouth.

"What does this goddess want?"
