Reincarnated as a damn planet

Chapter 150: The Goblin Council

[A player has launched an invasion on your planet]

"What?! Invasion?" X_X said as a sudden blue interface popped up directly in front of his face. The notification was so unexpected that he froze for several seconds, staring at the words as if the system had suddenly announced something impossible.

(We will be adressing X_X as Double X going onwards)

Panic immediately spread across his face as he used Intangible Spectation, allowing his consciousness to rapidly travel across his planet. He searched through continents, forests, mountains, oceans, and settlements, trying to locate the source of the sudden invasion notification.

"System, who is this invader?"

[ SYSTEM ERROR: NO INFORMATION ]

"What?! No information?" Double X stared at the interface in disbelief, his expression becoming increasingly confused. "I thought this system was supposed to be omniscient. How the hell does it not know who is invading my planet?"

He floated through the air for several minutes, continuing to search for the invader. The further his consciousness traveled, the more unsettled he became, until something enormous suddenly entered his field of vision.

Large beasts were moving across the distant landscape.

Beneath them marched an enormous army, with countless individuals moving together like a massive wave. Spells of different colors were being fired toward a small village, explosions were occurring across its walls, and smoke was already rising into the sky.

"Where did these guys even come from?" Double X muttered as his eyes widened.

"What the fuck is that? Godzilla? Drakes? Wyverns? What the fuck is happening?"

He continued staring at the battlefield, completely unable to understand what he was seeing. "Why are there so many of them? And why are they attacking one of my villages?"

His gaze moved across the army, identifying race after race that he had never encountered before.

"Lizardmen... Fishmen... Griffons... Humans..." Double X’s expression slowly changed from confusion to realization. "I’ve never seen any of these races before. I’ve only created goblins."

"This must be the invader."

For a moment, Double X simply stared at them.

Then he grinned. "Okay, whatever. They’re only a hundred thousand."

He quickly opened his system interface and began searching through his abilities. His confidence returned almost immediately as he remembered one particular skill.

"One meteor should be enough," he muttered, watching the army from above. "Seriously, what’s so scary about a hundred thousand people?"

His grin widened as he imagined a gigantic meteor descending from the sky and crushing the entire army beneath it. "I’ll just drop a giant rock on them and watch all those Godzilla-looking bastards panic."

He raised his hand confidently.

"System, Summon Meteor."

[Direct Intervention Skills are prohibited, as another player is within close proximity.]

[Meteor Summoner disabled.]

"WHAT?!"

Double X’s expression instantly collapsed.

He stared at the system notification for several seconds before his eye twitched. "I HAD NEVER KNOWN ABOUT THAT!"

He looked back toward the invading army, then back at the system, as if expecting it to suddenly change its mind. "Why the hell didn’t I know this? That’s literally one of my strongest abilities!"

His confidence disappeared almost immediately. "Okay, okay, calm down. I still have other abilities. I just need to think."

He began floating around in circles as he desperately tried to come up with another solution. The army continued advancing in the distance, destroying whatever stood in their path, and the thought that they could eventually reach his major civilizations made his expression become serious.

"I need to quickly ask the others. I need their help."

Double X immediately opened the Player Chatroom, his fingers moving nervously as he typed his message.

X_X: I need help! A player has invaded my world!

The response came surprisingly quickly.

Dr. Diagnosis: How is that possible? It should not be possible since we all progress at the same pace.

Lynx: Are you sure it’s a player? Or could it be an Unorthodox Player? And are they strong?

X_X: I’m sure. The system said it’s a player, and it’s highly unlikely for it to make a mistake this crucial. As for how strong they are... they have around a hundred thousand soldiers.

Double X waited for the others to respond, nervously watching the distant battlefield at the same time.

Leo: Only a hundred thousand? Are you sure you need help? In my world, a hundred thousand is just a single kingdom’s army.

Double X’s face twitched.

X_X: I think I can force the situation into a stalemate, but I’m not sure if I can actually win. After all, their strength doesn’t seem to lie in numbers. They even got Godzilla and other massive beasts, and I can also see their leaders. They’re emitting incredibly strong auras.

He looked toward one of the enormous creatures in the distance and swallowed nervously.

Dr. Diagnosis: You still have your personal council, right? I’m sure they can battle those leaders, I believe.

X_X: I hope so. They’re currently advancing through an empty location in one of my continents. They’re still far from the main civilizations.

Leo: We want to help... But I’m not sure if we know how.

Lynx: I know, right... It’s unfortunate.

Double X stared at the chatroom for several seconds, slowly realizing the problem. Even if the others wanted to help him, none of them could simply appear on his planet and fight the invaders.

"Right..." he muttered. "They can’t do anything unless we have a spaceship."

He looked toward the distant army again, his expression becoming increasingly troubled. "But it’s still so strange for a player to invade me at this time."

His mind began connecting the pieces.

He clenched his fists.

"Fuck!"

Double X turned his attention back toward the village currently being attacked. The invaders were still far from his main civilizations, which meant he had some time to prepare, but he knew that time would eventually run out.

He needed information.

Most importantly, he needed something capable of stopping those monsters before they reached his civilization.

His mind rapidly went through every possible option he possessed, but nothing seemed reliable enough. He could not directly intervene because another player was nearby, the other players could not provide immediate assistance, and his own forces had never encountered an enemy of this scale.

Then, his eyes suddenly widened.

"Wait." He slowly raised his head.

A solution had just entered his mind.

"The Goblin Council."

A grin slowly appeared across Double X’s face as he realized that he still had his most important group of intelligent individuals. They had experience dealing with threats on his planet, understood his civilizations better than anyone else, and might be able to devise a strategy that he had overlooked.

"Right... Why the hell didn’t I think of them earlier?"

He immediately turned toward the direction of his main civilization.

"I need to inform them."

With that, Double X disappeared from the battlefield, rushing toward the Goblin Council while the unfamiliar army continued its relentless advance through his world.
