Reincarnated as a damn planet
Chapter 127: Visualize
I just witnessed the first angel to go toe to toe with multiple Pantheons at the same time. But that’s fine. At least I now know how strong the angel race really is.
Although, I have to take into account that almost all of the Pantheons weren’t even using their Authorities yet. If they had, that fight could have ended catastrophically for the angel race, and I’m pretty sure that without Moleius’s warning, the angels would have been annihilated within minutes.
I can always revive them later, but that probably wouldn’t be good for their confidence or ego. Imagine being created as divine soldiers, only to get completely wiped out and brought back immediately afterward. Yeah, maybe I’ll avoid doing that unless it’s absolutely necessary.
After the fight, it seems like they actually started building connections with one another. Though, I guess that’s pretty rare considering they literally live in completely different worlds. Still, I’m glad the Pantheons started training more rigorously for some reason.
Enough with that.
I’ve been constantly monitoring the others for about a year now. Based on my observations, I think some of them might be able to acquire Astral Projection within a few years, while others could probably need another decade or more.
Especially the non-human races.
They’ll probably need much longer to reach the required population, since reaching fifty million people is going to be considerably harder for some of their species. Their population growth is simply too slow compared to humans, which makes reaching that milestone much more difficult.
Based on my monitoring, their overall progress has been relatively slow. Even though it might sound like a stretch, if we were to fight them right now, without any help from the Pantheons or angels, I think we might actually be able to win.
Of course, that’s assuming they don’t suddenly develop something ridiculous.
Introducing religion into the world has been pretty beneficial so far. Unlike the religions on Earth, where many eventually became stagnant or focused heavily on preserving old traditions, the religions here constantly develop alongside the civilizations that follow them.
The Pantheons themselves are also actively influencing the development of their followers, which creates an entirely different cycle. New beliefs lead to new discoveries, new discoveries create new problems, and those problems eventually force civilization to adapt again.
Heck, I might even reach a Type I civilization on the Kardashev scale within a few centuries.
Now that I think about it, though, I’ve never really visualized what the future of this world could actually look like. What exactly would a spacefaring civilization with magic even become?
Would they have lightsabers?
I chuckled at the thought.
Or would they simply develop some kind of magic that functions like science fiction technology? Maybe magical engines, energy shields, weapons that manipulate gravity, or some kind of spell capable of crossing entire solar systems.
If we’re eventually going to fight in space, then spaceships would probably be one of the most important things they could develop. A powerful individual might dominate a battlefield, but in an actual large-scale war between civilizations, transportation, range, resources, and firepower would matter just as much.
Then again, what about one-on-one fights?
Or small-scale battles?
In those situations, stronger creations would probably be much more suitable than enormous spaceships. A powerful individual capable of destroying a building, a city, or even an entire fleet would have completely different requirements from an ordinary soldier.
Oh...
What about mechas?
Magical mechas.
That actually sounds pretty interesting.
Imagine a giant mechanical body powered by magic, combining the strength of a high-level magician with the weapons and mobility of advanced technology. If civilization develops far enough, they could probably make them even more ridiculous than anything from Earth.
And then there’s biological weapons.
Large beasts bred specifically for war could become another possibility. They might sound weak individually, but if a civilization somehow produced trillions of them and sent them across an entire planet, the result would be catastrophic.
I could already imagine an entire battlefield being covered by them.
Magic... Magic.
Maybe the simplest solution would be to make it similar to having cultivators living in the modern world. Their powers could remain exactly the same, but instead of living in some ancient fantasy civilization, they would simply use the technology and infrastructure of a modern or futuristic society.
A cultivator could fly through the sky while using a smartphone.
Someone capable of destroying a mountain could still take a train.
A powerful magician could use their abilities in battle while relying on modern transportation, communication, medicine, and weapons everywhere else.
Of course, this would mostly apply to the top-tier individuals.
For ordinary people, there would be no reason to make everything complicated. Give them guns, armor, magical equipment, and mechas, and they’d probably become far stronger than the average magician from a traditional fantasy civilization.
Actually...
The combination of magic and technology might be much more interesting than either one by itsellf.
I looked toward the sky as a thought suddenly appeared inside my head. If I were having this exact conversation with myself about the future, what could the others be planning right now? There were literally thousands of us fighting for a chance at godhood in this planetary battle royale, so there was no telling what kind of insane ideas the others might have already come up with.
They might already be planning something completely insane.
I guess I’ll have to go back and think of another way to increase our military strength or accelerate our progression.
[TKAFKAGNAGAMGAKASP SFJASFASGOJAJGAMFASLA]
[UNORTHODOX PLAYER AJNFASJFKASKLGA]
[REWARD: ASTRAL GATE]
[ALLOWS THE PLAYER TO OPEN A GATE TO THE ASTRAL PROJECTION LOCATION]
.....
??!!!!
What had just happened? Why did I suddenly get a skill?
What?! It had something to do with an Unorthodox Player... Fuck, I couldn’t understand it!
Was it talking about me discovering an Unorthodox Player? I didn’t recall doing anything like that in this timeline. Or maybe it was referring to me meeting an Unorthodox Player?
Or perhaps it was because I had already met an Unorthodox Player in the previous timeline?
The possible answers all seemed to lead toward the same conclusion, but none of them made complete sense. If that was really how the system worked, then...
Could I gain abilities from the future?
