Chapter 128: Eazi’s Birthday

"She must learn the way of the Underworld!"

"HELL NAH! SHE SHOULD LEARN THE WAY OF BLADES!"

"HOW ABOUT THE ART OF SWIMMING?"

"EAZI-CHAN SHOULD BECOME A BLOOD MAGICIAN, NYA!!"

The whole Council of Pantheons had become lively, with voices constantly overlapping as the gods argued about the future of one little girl. After all, today was Eazi’s third birthday, the day she would supposedly choose the path she would follow for the rest of her life.

The entire place had been decorated with beautiful flowers, stuffed toys, colorful ornaments, and countless other decorations. At first glance, someone would never recognize this place as the meeting ground of gods, as it looked more like a massive birthday celebration than a divine council.

For this special occasion, the floating land of the Council had even been lowered closer to the world below, allowing the mortals to approach it. The streets surrounding the Council had also been decorated, with flowers hanging from buildings and countless banners celebrating the youngest Pantheon.

Along the road leading toward the Council, a long line of individuals could be seen.

Ordinary people stood beside warriors, merchants, priests, and nobles, all carrying gifts for Eazi. Even a massive carriage pulled by the Cerberus had arrived, carrying gifts sent by the inhabitants of the Underworld.

Of course, the Upperworld had prepared gifts as well.

The presents ranged from simple ornaments, stones, flowers, and stuffed toys to powerful artifacts forged through countless battles. Some were treasures that had been passed down for generations, while others were rare materials that could normally take entire kingdoms decades to acquire.

Eventually, the number of gifts became so enormous that they formed a massive pile surrounding the Council.

And, of course, the Pantheons had prepared their own gifts.

"Eazi, become a warrior. Forge your body through countless trials!" Odir proudly declared, holding out a beautifully crafted spear. "Here is a gift from the proudest warrior there is. A spear forged by a proud lizardman."

"No, little Eazi-chan!" Pandi immediately interrupted, holding up a massive bloodstone that glowed with a deep crimson color. "Become a blood magician! Do you know how difficult it was to gather this? It took my entire group of followers just to create it!"

Moleius calmly stepped forward. "Eazi should become a scholar. I believe she will become the smartest person in the world."

Catalyst immediately raised his own gift. "Eazi-chan, here is an Ice Heart. It was once the heart of a dragon that remained frozen for centuries."

Eazi stared at each of the Pantheons.

One after another, they presented their gifts while loudly explaining why she should follow their respective paths. The little girl simply watched them with wide eyes, seemingly overwhelmed by the sheer number of people trying to convince her.

Eventually, Eazi turned toward her mother.

Trias had been carrying her the entire time, and the little girl immediately reached toward her with a terrified expression. Her tiny hands grabbed onto Trias’s clothes as if silently begging her mother to escape from the noisy gods surrounding them.

Trias looked down at her daughter.

Then she looked toward the Pantheons. "Come on, don’t force your ideologies onto her," Trias said, slightly exasperated.

The Pantheons immediately became quiet.

Trias thought for a moment before speaking again.

"How about this? We place all of our gifts in a circle, then place Eazi in the middle. Whichever gift she walks toward will become the path she chooses."

The Pantheons looked at one another.

"Hm... Sounds good," someone muttered.

"I bet she’ll walk toward the bloodstone because of how beautiful it is."

"Don’t even bother. She’ll obviously go toward the Dragon Heart."

"No, I bet she’ll choose the last remaining head from a member of my race."

"LIKE HELL SHE WILL, CALEAN!"

The argument immediately started again.

Eventually, however, they followed Trias’s suggestion.

The Pantheons carefully placed their gifts in a large circle around the center of the Council. Some were precious artifacts, some were powerful stones, and others were objects that held enormous sentimental value to their owners.

Every single gift represented a path.

Every single Pantheon wanted Eazi to walk toward theirs. After all, Eazi was no ordinary child.

She was the daughter of a god. She was also the youngest Pantheon to ever exist.

Eazi was placed in the center of the circle. She looked around at the countless gifts surrounding her.

Her cute little face became strangely serious.

She placed one tiny hand against her cheek, staring at the gifts as if she were some great philosopher contemplating the meaning of life.

The Pantheons held their breaths.

Eazi remained completely frozen. Then she took a step and everyone’s heart jumped.

She began walking in circles.

Every time her head turned toward someone’s gift, the corresponding Pantheon immediately became excited. When she turned toward another direction, someone else would gasp and prepare themselves for victory.

"She’s coming toward mine!"

"No, she’s turning!"

"WAIT!"

"EAZI, COME HERE!"

"STOP CHEATING!"

Eazi continued walking without caring about the chaos around her.

Then she suddenly stopped.

The entire Council became silent.

Eazi looked toward one of the gifts. Then she slowly walked toward it.

The Pantheon associated with the gift immediately jumped forward.

"EAZI CHOSE THE WAY OF THE BLADE!"

The Pantheons wielding swords immediately exploded with excitement.

"EAZI WILL BECOME A SWORDSMAN!"

"SWORDSMAN! IT IS!"

The entire Council erupted into celebration.

Odir raised his arms triumphantly while Rize looked like she had just won the greatest battle of her life. Even some of the Pantheons who had lost began congratulating the winners, while others complained that Eazi had clearly been influenced by the shine of the sword.

"QUICKLY!" one of them shouted.

"GO ASK THE BLACKSMITH OF END!"

Another Pantheon immediately joined in. "MAKE HER THE BEST SWORD THERE POSSIBLY IS!"

The celebration became even louder.

Meanwhile, Eazi simply stood beside the chosen gift, staring at everyone with a confused expression.

She had no idea what she had just chosen. She only knew that the shiny thing had caught her attention.
