Chapter 2835: You Are The Same As Evil Cultivator
Chapter 2835: Chapter 2835: You Are The Same As Evil Cultivator
"So... you are even doing business with evil cultivators." Yu Qi said, her voice dripping with disgust.
"What kind of business?" Long Hui asked, his posture stiffening.
"Human trafficking." Yu Qi stated plainly.
She then let out a sharp, mocking laugh.
"You... you truly are no different from those evil cultivators." Yu Qi sneered at Master Liang.
"We are NOT the same! Don’t you dare lump me together with those monsters!" Master Liang argued furiously.
He vehemently refused to be labelled an evil cultivator. In his twisted mind, he still held himself superior to them. He convinced himself that his scientific pursuits set him apart, believing that his grand objective justified his actions, even if the cruel, barbaric methods he used were virtually identical.
"And what exactly is the difference between you and them? One treats human beings as disposable lab rats for experiments, while the other harvests human beings as a direct source of power. Fundamentally, you are two sides of the exact same coin. You view human lives as mere trash. That’s precisely why I say you are identical. Honestly, you might as well just become an evil cultivator yourself. It suits you far better." Yu Qi snorted in contempt.
"YOU!!!!" Master Liang gritted his teeth, his face flushing red with fury.
"Why so angry? Am I stating anything that is not the absolute truth?" Yu Qi shrugged her shoulders casually, offering him a cold, taunting smile.
Master Liang’s face darkened even further. He desperately wanted to refute Yu Qi’s harsh words, but because of the truth elixir surging through his system, he was utterly incapable of uttering anything that was not true.
"If you genuinely think I am wrong, then by all means, enlighten me. What exactly is the difference between you and them?" Yu Qi asked, looking down at Master Liang with a cold, mocking smile.
Master Liang opened his mouth, desperately wanting to dispute her claim. However, no words came out of his throat. He could not answer her. Deep down, he knew with absolute certainty that there was no real difference at all.
Both sides had mercilessly exploited innocent human beings for their own selfish desires. The evil cultivators harvested people as a direct source of power, while he used them as disposable experimental subjects to achieve his personal ambitions. The only distinction lay in their chosen methods. The ultimate result remained identical. Innocent people suffered and died because of them.
"See? You can’t even answer me." Yu Qi noted softly, her smile widening.
Master Liang clenched his fists so hard his nails dug into his palms. He utterly loathed this woman. She always managed to strip away his dignity and make him feel completely humiliated.
"Enough about your hypocrisy. I want to know more about your transactions with Wong Fu Siang." Yu Qi stated, shifting her gaze back down to the phone in her hand.
Master Liang’s eyes widened slightly in alarm. "What do you want to know?"
"Everything." Yu Qi demanded plainly.
Yu Qi reopened the chat log and began scrolling through the messages. There were numerous exchanges recorded between Master Liang and Wong Fu Siang. Most of them were brief and heavily encrypted in a code that ordinary people would never comprehend. However, with Neko-chan directly linked to Yu Qi’s phone, deciphering the secret messages took mere seconds.
A moment later, several clear lines of decrypted data appeared across the screen.
"Human beings, spiritual roots, cultivation resources..." Yu Qi muttered under her breath as she read through the logs.
Her expression gradually turned icy cold.
Long Hui stepped up beside her, leaning in to read the phone screen over her shoulder. "What kind of people did you sell to them?"
"People who could be useful to their needs." Master Liang answered against his will.
"Be far more specific." Yu Qi commanded sharply.
"People possessing spiritual roots. People with exceptionally strong physical bodies. People born with rare, special bloodlines. Occasionally, they requested ordinary humans as well." Master Liang confessed freely.
"Why would they ever need ordinary humans?" Qin Xia inquired, his tone dropping an octave.
"Certain evil cultivation techniques require the blood of ordinary humans. Others harvest human souls to forge their weapons." Master Liang answered, darting a nervous glance at Qin Xia.
Qin Xia’s expression hardened into frost. He had lived for millennia and had witnessed countless atrocities throughout the history of the cultivation world. Yet, there were still vile acts that disgusted him to his core, and using innocent human lives as disposable cultivation resources was paramount among them.
"How many people have you sold off to them in total?" Yu Qi questioned coldly.
"I... I don’t know." Master Liang’s expression stiffened.
"Think carefully." Yu Qi narrowed her eyes into dangerous slits.
"I genuinely don’t know! There were far too many individual transactions over the years! I did not personally oversee every single exchange." Master Liang pleaded, unable to lie.
"Then who managed them?" Long Hui demanded.
"Different operatives within our network." Master Liang admitted.
"Give us names." Yu Qi commanded.
Master Liang’s mouth immediately began spouting names, one after another without pause. Some were high-ranking personnel from the MicroTech Organisation. Others were prominent businessmen, officials working in international shipping and logistics, and even several key figures operating within various government departments.
Long Hui’s expression grew progressively darker with every name uttered. The sheer scale of the network was staggering. This was no longer a mere underground syndicate. The MicroTech Organisation had managed to spread its rotten roots deep into the very core of society.
"How many officials within the military are actively involved?" Long Hui asked, his voice laced with suppressed fury.
Master Liang paused briefly, his eyes rolling back as he tried to recall the exact head count.
