Chapter 505: Mother-in-law’s Kindness

After Old Mrs. Rong and her grandson left, Fu Mingxue got ready for bed.

"Mom, I’m going to skip dinner. Don’t call for me; I’m going to go get some sleep."

She slept soundly and deeply.

"Mom, why did you come over so early today?"

"One of the folks from back home came into the city yesterday, and Aunt Li bought two chickens from them. They ate one at home and sent the other one over for you."

"You should have some in a little while. She added some wild mountain ginseng. It’s good for you."

Mrs. Qin had originally planned to just bring the whole chicken over.

But on second thought, she figured it would be better to stew it first and then bring it over.

Besides, Aunt Li’s chicken soup was legendary—absolutely delicious.

Hearing this, Fu Mingxue smiled and said, "Thank you, Mom. Thank you for going to all this trouble. I’ll have to be sure to savor it later. Aunt Li’s cooking is truly out of this world!"
