“Oh really? I thought you were here to… I don’t know… fucking chain me to the bed again.” Jacob wagged a long index finger at the woman. “Lady, all you do is talk.”

With that said, the young man immediately lay on his bed and stared up at the ceiling without a word. But when he discovered that the woman was not saying a word, he looked at her.

“Elyssara, if you’re not gonna say anything, then you can leave.”

It was obvious at this point that Elyssara had been ogling the young man, so much so that she was almost drooling. The thoughts of how he handled his earlier battles replayed in her mind.

All she wanted in that moment was to just quietly rip his clothes off in the most depraved manner and straddle him until the night was over. Unfortunately, she knew Jacob was not interested in that.

She inched closer to him. She was tired of playing games, as she guessed he also was. With a swift but elegant motion, she sat on the side of Jacob’s bed, her eyes filled with tears, but none of them dripping out.

“Jacob,” she called out, trying her best to sound less depraved than she already was. “I regret how I came to you in the past, as though it were my right to claim you like some sort of pet.”

Jacob frowned. He agreed with her.

“For years, I have been in this tower, watching men come and go. Everyone I approached practically leaped at the opportunity. I gather it was because of my beauty. In fact, most of them got so obsessed with me that I had to outrightly dismiss them,” Elyssara said in a calm voice. Her gaze was towards Jacob, but it was focused on the silk sheets. “You, you are the only one who has ever resisted me for this long, and to be honest with you, I don’t know why I feel like this.”

Elyssara had decided to abandon the scheming and chasing and just speak to Jacob from the heart. Whatever his response was would not alter her infatuation towards him in any way or form.

“I understand how you feel, but you have to understand, like I have told you, I have someone already. I cannot betray her. Elyssara, you are a damning beauty. In any other lifetime, I would be with you over and over again,” Jacob responded, mildly scrunching his face as he could not believe he had to say such words.

“Jacob, I appreciate and really admire your sense of loyalty. I wish all men were like you. But you have to understand that whatever happens in the tower stays in the tower. I’m 100% sure your lover does not even know you are here.” Elyssara placed her palm on his hand, looking directly into his eyes.

“She does not know, but it was only because I had to make a decision, and I left her with a clone…”

“That’s it!” Elyssara exclaimed, snapping her fingers as though a lightbulb had just appeared above her head. “I realized you were able to create clones of yourself today. How about we achieve a compromise? Five clones for me, and I leave you alone entirely.”

“Come on! What do you need five whole clones for?” Jacob inquired, almost amused at her demand. This woman wanted five of the same man at her sexual beck and call.

“I saw you make a thousand clones today like it was nothing. Surely, five is of no consequence. Do this for me, Jacob, and you will never see me again.”

Jacob stroked his bearded chin. This was an idea he had come up with even before he spoke to the Regulator. He just did not want to have to do it, as he did not want to go through the stress of having to see all the events that unfolded through his clones’ eyes.

He was just going to have to sever his connection to them, and as such, they would move around like independent beings and only dissipate whenever Elyssara no longer had any need for them.

It was a small price to pay for his freedom from this woman.

Jacob knew unquestionably that in a world where Violet didn’t exist, he would’ve taken this woman up on her offer without even batting an eye.

“Okay, agreed. You promise to leave me be?” Jacob raised an eyebrow and waited for her response, which came rather quickly.

“I swear on my godhood. Just five clones. I want them in love with me, but not, like, obsessed. I know you understand what I mean.”

“Yeah, yeah, done.”

With nothing but a thought, Jacob materialized five identical clones of himself in the room and immediately severed his connection to them.

He watched Elyssara nearly squeal in delight as she jumped into their arms. Of course, they lifted her without any trouble.

They dropped her on the ground and watched her struggle to stand up straight as her knees were mildly weak from the Jacobs that surrounded her and were now groping her rather aggressively.

She was enjoying it a little too much.

“Hey! Take all that stuff to your chambers, Elyssara.” Jacob barked as he furrowed his brows. He was not interested in watching what was to happen next.

“Come on, boys, let’s get out of his hair. Thank you so much, Jacob. You have given me my youth back, haha.” She said as she kissed one of them rather lustfully. Then she kissed another, giggling in between as they all walked through the portal, straight into Elyssara’s chambers, where they would all spend the entire night in each other’s embrace.

The original Jacob, on the other hand, dove in with his Boundless Sight once again to spy on the beautiful Violet and her long, silky purple hair.

She was already fast asleep. Jacob merely watched for a few minutes before retiring to his own bed.

Before long, he had drifted off into the deathly silence of the Tower of Sun, utterly fast asleep.
