Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 262: On Mars
The next day rolled in quickly. Jacob awoke with purpose. Today made it six days since he had been in the Tower of Sun, and he was already on the 64th floor. He had only 36 floors of uncertainty and powerful opponents to go.
But first, he had a matter to attend to. About a day ago, he had a rather gruesome battle with a friend he had made, Drammond, and since then, he hadn’t seen or heard from the young man, as Drammond had been taken to be nursed by the healthcare practitioners who resided in the tower.
Jacob quickly cleaned himself up and was out of the room in no time.
Firstly, he had to inquire from Uga how to get to the healthcare facility. Before him, a portal manifested. It was dark, similar to a black hole, its edges smooth, standing tall like a rectangle.
Jacob walked into it like it were the most normal thing in the world, quickly reappearing in the lobby of the tower, where Uga sat waiting for him like a robot on command.
“What a fine morning, Jacob. What are your plans today?” Uga inquired.
“Well, I remember putting someone in the hospital. I would like to see him. How do I get to the tower’s hospital, or whatever you call it?” Jacob’s voice was calm as he looked around, his head swiveling in every direction, trying to ascertain the best possible route to take.
“Oh, that’s easy. I can take you if you want,” Uga responded.
“Please.”
…
Another portal appeared before them in the blink of an eye. It had become clear to him already that these portals were the only mode of transportation throughout the tower, as he had already ascertained that there were no doors in any room whatsoever.
They stepped through the portal and were suddenly in a room. It was rather narrow, lined with beds almost touching each other. On each of these beds lay one sick or injured person after another.
The hall was rather lengthy and seemed to stretch on forever. Jacob just looked ahead as he walked, not minding Uga’s presence. It would not be hard to find Drammond from here on out, as he could already sense the young man’s presence.
“Youuu! Ughhh, nursee! Get him away!”
Jacob turned his head to the right and immediately recognized the man pointing rather frightfully at him, albeit his face was completely bandaged and had blotches of his crimson-colored blood on it.
It was the shadow user, whom Jacob had broken in the face with a single hit.
Jacob paid him no mind and kept walking. Even though it was rather crowded, the hospital area was rather organized. There were so many Meereens attending to the people who were injured.
“There are Meereens doing different jobs in the tower. I did not inform you about the healing Meereens because I never thought you’d come here for any reason,” Uga spoke to Jacob.
But the young man just focused on walking forward. Uga continued regardless.
“The healer Meereens are essentially dedicated to ensuring that the people who get severely injured in the tower do not die and are ultimately sent back to their worlds safely.”
Uga concluded, and Jacob just responded with a nod. Truly, if he had never injured Drammond seriously, then he probably would not have known about this place until he left.
…
On a not-so-distant bed, Jacob could see a young man sitting up. He had his head down and his back exposed. His dark hair fell forward in a messy manner, and his breathing was controlled.
“Drammond,” Jacob spoke out as he reached the man’s bed.
Without turning around, Drammond looked at his palm and then responded, “Are you here to gloat about your victory?”
“I don’t do that. I know how it feels to lose. On the contrary, I’m here to check on you. You look like you’re ready to fight at any moment,” Jacob joked.
Drammond did not respond. The air thickened. The room was anything but silent as the young man stood up, his hair almost covering his brown eyes. It made him look majestic, with how messy he looked.
He was somewhat shorter than Jacob as he moved closer to the white-haired young man with a finger pointed at him.
“Just so you know, the fact that you came here means absolutely nothing to me. I will repay you in kind. Even if it’s the last thing I do.” Drammond hissed through his teeth like a snake laced with deadly poisonous venom.
Jacob had already put his hands up in protest and was ready to say something when Drammond just casually pushed him out of the way, walking into a portal.
It was clear that the young man was going to let his energy out somewhere that would matter more than fighting with Jacob in this moment.
“He can certainly hold a grudge,” Jacob thought aloud, letting out a mirthful laugh.
“In his defense, Jacob, you did put him in the hospital for a day…” Uga added.
“I know, I know, Uga. Well, I’ll talk to him later when he feels more relaxed. I also have to ascend further. I can move directly from here to the battle arena, right?” Jacob inquired, looking up at Uga this time.
“Affirmative,” the Meereen confirmed.
Another portal appeared just before them. Jacob and Uga walked through. This time, the crowd was cheering for him, but it was all imperceptible to him, as he couldn’t see any of them.
…
Romstad’s eyes lit up immediately as he saw Jacob walk into the arena.
Elyssara sat on one of the Jacobs’ laps, a satisfied look on her face as she looked down on the battleground. One of the Jacob clones held one of her breasts upwards, while another clone held the other one. The remaining two massaged her feet.
She was certainly feeling as though she were in heaven in this moment.
…
Jacob looked around and had already ascertained in this moment that he was on a planet. Judging by the red pigment of the earth he walked on and the obvious lack of gravity, he was on the planet Mars.
