"I need to hurry..." Jiang Zihan muttered as he forced himself to continue to walk. He could still smell the scent of blood in the air.

While walking, he kept a lookout at his surroundings to make sure that there was no danger. But suddenly, he heard a sound coming from behind. Jiang Zihan’s body immediately froze in place when he stiffly turned around.

But he did not see anything behind him, nor did he sense the presence of anyone else.

"Was that an illusion?" he murmured to himself as he frowned a little.

He stared at the spot for a while, but nothing had happened, so he slowly turned back. But the moment he did so, a hand suddenly came out from the side and pulled him over.

Jiang Zihan’s eyes immediately widened, and he tried to struggle. He instinctively materialized his sword in his hand, though it almost dropped to the floor because of the pain.

"Don’t be afraid. It’s me..." a familiar male voice whispered beside his ears.

Jiang Zihan was stunned for a moment. He lowered his hand and asked tentatively, "Shiyan...?"

After the person behind him confirmed his identity, Jiang Zihan immediately turned around in surprise. But before he was able to tell Mo Shiyan of what he experienced before, Mo Shiyan frowned as he looked at Jiang Zihan’s arm.

Seeing his gaze, Jiang Zihan instinctively wanted to hide his arm behind his back. But Mo Shiyan’s movement was much faster, and he immediately held onto his wrist, not letting him leave, though that caused Jiang Zihan to gasp out loud because of the pain.

"Hiss—"

"You’re hurt..." Mo Shiyan said. Jiang Zihan could not hear any emotions in his tone, but he could still somehow sense that Mo Shiyan was trying to suppress his anger.

"What happened...?" Mo Shiyan asked when staring at his arm.

Jiang Zihan subconsciously wanted to pull his hand back under that gaze, but Mo Shiyan did not allow him to do so.

"Don’t move," Mo Shiyan commanded.

Jiang Zihan hesitated, and Mo Shiyan used this time to materialize an arrow above his palm. Then he controlled it to hover above Jiang Zihan’s arm. The arrow began to glow with white light as Mo Shiyan slowly transported magical energy to it, which Jiang Zihan found that his arm had begun to heal.

He froze for a moment when he suddenly remembered that Mo Shiyan had once told him that he had unlocked a healing ability the first time they stepped into the academy.

A few minutes later, the white light slowly started to fade away, and the arrow vanished into the air. Jiang Zihan was surprised to find out that his arm is no longer bleeding and could move without any difficulty, though it still hurts a little.

"This is the best I could do right now. When we find Xingxue, we could ask her to help heal your arm," Mo Shiyan said.

Jiang Zihan gently shook his head as he lowered his arm. Then he let out a bright smile toward Mo Shiyan. "It’s good enough. Thank you for your help... Shiyan."

Mo Shiyan looked up and reached his hand out to gently ruffle Jiang Zihan’s hair. "You never have to say ’thanks’ to me," he replied.

His voice sounded calm, but Jiang Zihan could still sense his feeling of concern. Mo Shiyan lowered his head and glanced down at Jiang Zihan’s arm again, trying to confirm that his injury was okay.

"Does it still hurt?" he asked carefully.

Jiang Zihan shook his head before replying, "It’s feeling much better now."

Hearing this, Mo Shiyan nodded slightly before he turned around and crouched down in front of Jiang Zihan.

Jiang Zihan: "...?"

He immediately understood what Mo Shiyan meant, but there’s still something that he wanted to say. "Shiyan... I injured my arm, not my legs. I could walk by myself," he couldn’t help but explain his situation.

"Get on," Mo Shiyan said, his voice sounding a bit commanding.

"But—"

"Or would you rather a princess carry?" Mo Shiyan suddenly asked, stopping his words.

Jiang Zihan: "..."

After hesitating for a moment, he chose the first one. When Mo Shiyan felt that Jiang Zihan had climbed onto his back, he stood back up and walked in the opposite direction of where Jiang Zihan came from.

"Do you know where the others are?" Jiang Zihan asked.

"We were separated the second we entered the dungeon," Mo Shiyan replied, then added, "I wasn’t sure how big the entire dungeon was, so I did not randomly walk around to find them."

"...I basically drained my magical energy in the battle from before, so I wouldn’t be able to do much help. But no matter what, we have to find them as soon as possible, or else it would be super dangerous if we run into another high-ranked monster," Jiang Zihan said.

Before Mo Shiyan got the chance to say anything, he suddenly looked sharply to his right side, staring straight in that direction.

"Shiyan...?"

"I hear footsteps," Mo Shiyan suddenly said.

Jiang Zihan’s expression immediately changed; he materialized his sword in his hand. At the same time, Mo Shiyan lifted Jiang Zihan a little higher on his back before materializing a few arrows beside him.

In the next second, a figure went flying from that direction, tumbling across the floor before stopping right in front of them.

Seeing that there were other humans, the person’s eyes immediately lit up as he crawled toward them. "Save... save me..."

"He seemed to be one of the members from the other team..." Jiang Zihan muttered.

He patted on Mo Shiyan’s and said, "Shiyan, let me down."

Mo Shiyan turned his head and gave him a glance before letting him down. Jiang Zihan quickly walked over and bent down beside him. "Are you okay?" he asked.

"Save... save me," the person repeated.

Jiang Zihan frowned a little. Just as he planned to turn around and ask Mo Shiyan for help, he suddenly felt a strong aura spreading through the area.
