Jiang Zihan believed that Mo Shiyan must be choosing a way to eliminate him from this world. I have to find a way to escape that ending.

Hearing his inner thoughts, Mo Shiyan’s eyes deepened a little, clenching his fist. Running away...?

"It... it’s nothing!" Jiang Zihan quickly replied, his head turning to the side with guilt. "I... I was just wondering when the entrance exam results would come out."

"You should be able to see it by the end of the week," Mo Shiyan replied as he placed the plate of fried chicken in front of Jiang Zihan.

Jiang Zihan stared at the plate, still debating whether he should eat something that the protagonist had given him. But in the end, he was unable to resist his desire for his favorite food, and reached out for a piece.

He looked toward Mo Shiyan, who didn’t stop him. His eyes immediately lit up, and he grabbed another piece.

So tasty!

From that day on, Mo Shiyan could sense that Jiang Zihan was purposefully keeping distance from him. Although Jiang Zihan usually won’t spend so much time with him when he’s training, he wouldn’t purposefully avoid him.

Finally, after the one hundredth time Jiang Zihan used the excuse of training to slip away, he couldn’t control himself anymore. He walked forward and grabbed Jiang Zihan by the back of his collar.

Jiang Zihan instinctively lifted his chin, staring at him in confusion. "What is it, Shiyan?"

His expression looked so innocent, causing Mo Shiyan’s anger to suddenly burn out.

Mo Shiyan wanted to directly ask why he kept avoiding him, but seeing his expression, he swallowed those words back into his stomach. Instead, he said, "I’ll go with you."

"Wait... I don’t need... I could practice myself—"

Before he could even finish the sentence, Mo Shiyan had already carried him over his shoulders.

Jiang Zihan: "!!!"

He wanted to struggle, but suddenly he felt magical energy surrounding him. This is... Shiyan’s...

Don’t tell me... he’s really planning to eliminate me today...

But Gu Yan is still alive as well... Why am I first?!!

A bunch of questions rose in Jiang Zihan’s mind, though he could not directly ask Mo Shiyan for answers. Just as he was still lost in his thoughts, Mo Shiyan had already carried him to the roadside. He hailed a taxi and told the driver to drive toward the training field.

The moment Jiang Zihan got into the taxi, he quickly scooted as far as he could toward the other side of the car, staring out the window the moment Mo Shiyan stepped inside. The next second, he smelled the familiar scent of rose surrounding him, though he didn’t dare to look toward that direction.

Seeing the awkward atmosphere between them, the taxi driver chuckled a little. "Getting into an argument with your boyfriend?" he asked.

"He’s not my boyfriend!" Jiang Zihan instinctively replied.

The driver was stunned for a moment before he laughed even harder. "You young people are all the same—too stubborn to admit it. However, as someone who has experienced this stage before, if there’s any misunderstanding between couples, the earlier you talk it out, the better it is."

"Just like before, when I was in my 20s, my wife and I also—"

The taxi driver continued speaking about his past experience with his wife, while Jiang Zihan can only awkwardly listen.

The second he finished speaking, Jiang Zihan immediately shouted, "We really are not—"

Jiang Zihan didn’t get to finish his sentence, because Mo Shiyan had already answered for him. "We are together, but had some misunderstandings, so he’s upset with me right now."

While speaking, Mo Shiyan held tightly onto Jiang Zihan’s right hand, not allowing him to escape.

Jiang Zihan: "..."

Catching the driver’s ’See? I knew it.’ expression in the mirror, he literally wanted to dig a hole in the ground and bury himself inside.

He looked up and met Mo Shiyan’s eyes. The next second, he felt a chill run down his spine, and Jiang Zihan turned his head even further away, almost pressing his entire face against the car window.

Seeing that neither of them was planning to go into a conversation, the driver wisely closed his mouth, leaving only the sound of music echoing through the car.

Why is he staring at me like that? Is he actually planning to take me to some deserted place and finish me off?

Stop staring at me...

The longer he stares, the more it seems like he’s figuring out the best way to kill me.

Mo Shiyan frowned a little. Here it was again.

Ever since that day, Jiang Zihan’s mind had been filled with these chaotic, nonsensical thoughts. Although Jiang Zihan did have such thoughts the first day he was able to hear his inner thoughts, ever since they lived together, those thoughts barely appeared anymore.

What caused him to think in this way? Would it be that woman?

The moment Mo Shiyan recalled the way Gu Yuxi’s eyes landed on Jiang Zihan, a murderous intent immediately rose in his mind.

Jiang Zihan suddenly felt that the temperature in the car had lowered a few degrees, which caused him to shiver a little.

The next second, Mo Shiyan closed the distance with Jiang Zihan and rested a hand on his shoulder. Jiang Zihan immediately sat up straight and noticed that his body had warmed up.

Jiang Zihan lowered his head and realized that Mo Shiyan was sending his magical energy to him. "Thanks..."

However, his voice sounded more like a cry instead. Mo Shiyan fell silent for a few seconds and suddenly felt a headache. He wasn’t good at comforting people, as there’s barely anyone in this world who needs him to comfort. He also isn’t sure how he can prove to Jiang Zihan that he never had the thought of killing him.

Or maybe he did... at the very beginning, but no longer.

The taxi slowly stopped in front of Illusion Arena. The driver turned around and said, "We’re here."
