"I would like to rent a D-rank Training Room for 5 hours," Mo Shiyan replied.

"Let me check," the receptionist said as she looked through the room availability on the computer.

"You came in at just the right time. There’s currently one empty D-rank Training Room. It would be 1500 Star Dust for 5 hours. Would you like to pay by cash or card?" The receptionist asked.

Jiang Zihan was originally looking around the area curiously when he heard the price. He immediately froze in place.

1500 Star Dust? That’s so expensive!

I only get 50 Star Dust a week for allowance, and for 1500 Star Dust, I have to...

While calculating his allowance, Jiang Zihan tentatively moved closer to Mo Shiyan and gently tugged at the corner of his sleeve. "Shiyan... this is so expensive. How about I—"

He was just about to say that he could pay for the fee when Mo Shiyan already handed his card over to the receptionist.

Mo Shiyan turned his head and comforted him. "It’s okay. I have done a lot of part-time jobs over these years. I could still afford to pay this money."

Hearing his words made Jiang Zihan feel even more guilty. Although it was the original owner of the body who caused his life to be so hard, now he was the one who took hold of this body, so he could sense that he had also taken that "sin" for him.

That feeling continued to stay until they stepped inside the training room. The next second, an arrow shot straight toward him. He quickly dodged it, but the arrow was super fast, so it still grazed his upper arm. Blood immediately came out of the wound.

He held back the gasp and looked up, seeing that Mo Shiyan was already holding his longbow, with another arrow in hand, targeting him. The next second, it shot toward him. He did not have the time to question Mo Shiyan, and quickly focused his attention on dodging the arrow again.

Jiang Zihan jumped to the side while rolling across the ground. However, the arrow seemed to be fixed on him, turning its direction and grazing directly past his shoulder. The fierce rush of air sliced against his skin, leaving behind a stinging pain.

Before he could stand still, another arrow had already targeted his head. He wanted to roll across the floor in the other direction, but Mo Shiyan seemed to know what he was thinking, and the next arrow came toward him in the other direction, cutting off the escape route from all four directions.

There’s no way around.

Just as the feeling of despair surrounded him, a strand of thread twitched a little in his mind. His eyes lit up immediately, and that strand of thread suddenly materialized above his palm. Just as he was about to fight back, he froze for a moment.

Wait... How in the world do I even use this thing?!

However, he did not have the time to hesitate anymore. Seeing that the arrow was getting close, with a ’self-abandonment’ attitude, he directly threw out that strand of thread.

What was out of his expectation was that, without his control, the strand of thread collided with the arrow. His eyes immediately lit up. Then, the arrow sliced it into two strands of thread.

Strands of thread...

Of thread...

Thread...

Jiang Zihan: "..."

Fortunately, Mo Shiyan reacted in time and quickly took control of the arrow, which stopped a few inches away from Jiang Zihan’s face. Otherwise, Jiang Zihan would have reached the end of dying in this world after transmigrating here for less than a year.

After taking a short break, Jiang Zihan walked up toward Mo Shiyan and demanded, his voice sounding a little shaky. "What were you doing before?"

"The fastest way to awaken one’s potential is through real combat," Mo Shiyan replied as his hand brushed across his bow.

Jiang Zihan was speechless. "But... but can’t you give me a warning first?" he asked, his voice turning a little low.

"If you knew it earlier, then you would have been on your guard. That’s not good enough for practice," Mo Shiyan explained.

Hearing this, Jiang Zihan completely closed his mouth.

"Also, I’ve got your data already," Mo Shiyan continued as he raised his phone in front of him.

The next second, Jiang Zihan’s eyes lit up, and he totally forgot what happened just now. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and walked a little closer, curious about his current stats.

Suddenly, Mo Shiyan placed his phone in his bag and said, "Let me see your wound first."

Jiang Zihan was stunned for a moment before lowering his head. He didn’t really notice the injury after the combat, but now that Mo Shiyan pointed it out, he started to feel stinging pain coming from the wound.

He covered the wound with a hand and smiled at Mo Shiyan. "It’s okay. I could take care of it myself—"

Before he was able to finish the sentence, Mo Shiyan suddenly hugged him into his embrace, then brought him over to the side so that he could lie on the wall.

Jiang Zihan was shocked when he instinctively grabbed the corner of his sleeve, then said, "I hurt my arm, not my leg. I could walk by myself."

Mo Shiyan pretended that he did not hear what Jiang Zihan said, and directly left the training room. A few minutes later, he returned with a medical kit. He knelt in front of Jiang Zihan and carefully treated the wound just like Jiang Zihan had helped him before.

"Hiss—"

"Hang in there," Mo Shiyan comforted him as he wrapped the bandage around the wound.

After taking care of the wound, Jiang Zihan quickly forgot about him and begged Mo Shiyan to let him take a look at the data.

Mo Shiyan stared at him for a moment before handing over his phone. "The password is my birthday."
