Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family
Chapter 1449: Golden
The Old Witch was horrified upon seeing her green bubble burst like a balloon. That thing should hold up even after a few strikes from a Nascent Spirit cultivator at the same level as her!
How did a few of these unknown people break through her defenses so easily?
"You will not destroy the Nation of Reborn for as long as we are here," Alpha said, with authority bursting from her voice.
The Old Witch then used her powers and summoned pigeons from her Aubility Power. These pigeons looked real. They felt real. But they were anything but real. They were manifestations of her Nascent Influence. They broke reality with every flap of their wings.
They numbered in the thousands. And in the skies, these pigeons ruled everything.
A few of them dove down and attacked the three Unity Clones. Meanwhile, the rest of the pigeons continued on downwards, intending to destroy every single thing that was present here in the Nation of Reborn.
Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie moved with synchronicity. Their Unity Armors glowed with prismatic light as they disappeared from sight. And suddenly, the homing pigeons had no target.
They flew around, confused. Until suddenly, they flew upwards and began attacking the other pigeons!
"What?! They... they’re baiting my pigeons!" the old Witch screamed.
She saw everything. The Unity Clones moved so fast that they were basically leading the homing pigeons towards the rest of the flock, making them destroy themselves!
The 3rd ranked general was surprised about this because the speed that they used wasn’t Nascent Spirit-based. Instead, it was purely physical! They were almost reaching the same speed as light itself!
This was the true power of Unity solidified! They were imbued with all of its properties, and one of its properties of a Unity beam was the speed of light!
Using this speed, the defended against the pigeons and protected the Nation of Reborn from further destruction.
And up above, the golden armor that had shielded the Nation from the volley of meteor strikes still held on. Every time that it cracked, somehow, it would get regenerated by some kind of power that the old witch hadn’t yet deciphered.
But in truth, she was looking at it this entire time!
It was because of the clouds!
These clouds weren’t normal, they were mutated with magic! They absorbed all of the pollution and the smoke and the contaminants in the air of the Nation, and use it to convert them into different elements of magic.
Usually, these magic would be released onto the Nation of Reborn as a varying cycle of weather, from rainy, to sunny, to freezing.
But now, they were being used to revitalize the golden protective shield that was protecting the nation!
Meanwhile, the sounds of screaming and concrete shattering echoed throughout the streets.
They all turned around and saw Zion flying through the skies, crashing through different skyscraper buildings, sending bits of concrete debris and shattered glass flying down into the ground.
Behind the red dragon, the 2nd ranked general was chasing after him. In the young teenager’s eyes were pure rage and hatred. He wanted nothing more than to kill the red dragon as revenge for the old man’s death, his master’s death!
With a pointed glare, the 2nd ranked general sent a beam of laser from his eyes towards Zion. This was a kill shot.
It was at this point that two shadows suddenly emerged right next to Zion, shielding him from the oppressive laser.
Zion looked around and felt relief. "Finally! Where have you two been?"
Delta and Echo appeared right next to Zion. "We are sorry for the delay, young Dragonborn. Worry not, we are now here to support you."
Now with two Unity Clones supporting him, Zion no longer felt the need to escape. He quickly stopped his momentum and faced the 2nd ranked general head on.
"Tsk," the young Nascent cultivator sneered. "Even with those helpers of yours, you will not stop the wrath that is in my heart. You will all die by my hands.
Even if they kill me, they will not stop me from killing you!"
It was at this point that the young teen charged towards Zion, not even caring that there were two Unity Clone flanking him to the side.
Just like he said, he was going to kill Zion even if it meant being killed himself.
Delta and Echo immediately put themselves in harms’ way, protecting Zion from the incoming missile-like charge from the 2nd ranked general.
A huge explosion occurred from their collision, sending the young Nascent cultivator back to the skies, while the Unity Clones skidded a few meters on the ground.
Despite the danger, Zion looked like he was excited.
Then, he turned towards the side. Towards a human man holding a large camera on his shoulders.
"You got that right?" Zion asked.
His director nodded his head. "That was a great cut! But it would have been better if the two Unity Clones arrived just a little bit later. It will make for tension!"
In such a dangerous situation, Zion was still worrying about his image! He had used this chance to film the next iteration of their movie!
The 2nd ranked general didn’t know what this meant, but he knew that he was being insulted. His target wasn’t even focusing at him! It was as if he didn’t exist, and all of his threats were nothing but empty gestures!
"You bast—"
"YOU BASTARD!"
Before the 2nd ranked general could even say something, someone got ahead of him.
Kong turned towards Zion with smoke coming out of his ears. "You’re... you’re using the destruction of our nation for your own movie?!"
Zion showed him a guilty expression. "I mean... what better time to do it than now, right? I’m just being efficient!"
"You.. you... you...."
As the Chief Engineer of this Nation, Kong had poured his heart and soul and blood into every building here. And now, it was being used for something like this?
Suddenly, a golden light emanated out of Kong’s chest as something inside him started to break.
