The black crescent slash swallowed the 1st ranked general whole, imbuing him with nothing but death energy.

Soon enough, the world turned quiet. The oppressing fire energy Nascent Influence that had bore down on Reborn disappeared, marking the death of the 1st ranked general.

Meanwhile, the black crescent slash disappeared. It had done its job. It had been fed the death that it needed.

Grieve took a deep breath, releasing the power in his body. The black magic circle dissipated, and the image of the undying behemoth general above him slowly started to turn into mist.

"Yohohoho... I forgot how powerful I was," he said to himself.

Meanwhile, down in the streets of Reborn, both the 2nd ranked and 3rd ranked general looked up in horror after seeing the old man die off just like that.

This wasn’t part of the plan! They didn’t think that this was possible! He was the strongest Nascent Spirit cultivator amongst them! Almost reaching the peak itself! How could he have died in the hands of a mere skeleton?!

"We’ve been misled! The Reborn company has a Mystic Master-level creature in their employ!" said the old witch, gritting her teeth.

"How is that possible?! I... I don’t believe it. Old man!" the young teen shouted, still disbelieving of what had happened.

They felt completely devastated. And soon, that devastation turned into pure anger and rage.

"You... Reborn... your entire civilization will die! I will make sure of it myself!" said the 2nd ranked general.

And in response, Zion simply laughed. "Hahahahaha! There’s no way that’s going to happen, idiots!"

"Don’t think you can fly away from your own death," said the old witch to Zion. "Your wings are destroyed!"

But then, Zion simply looked at his own wings. "Urgh... grow back!" he shouted.

And miraculously, his own damaged wing suddenly began to grow back! In a matter of a few seconds, the skin and ligaments and scales that had been damaged from his wing had grown back!

"Hahaha! Look at that!" Zion said, surprised even at his own ability. "Healed!"

"You will still die under my hands!" said the 2nd ranked general.

It was at this point that Zion looked up. "Master! Help!"

But Grieve looked down at Zion and simply shrugged his head. "Yohohoho! I seem to have forgotten how much energy that takes! Looks like you have to deal with that all on your own, student!"

"WHAT?!" Zion screamed in pure disbelief. The only reason he was so confident was because he believed that Grieve would be able to save him! He killed the 1st ranked general, he should be able to kill the other two as well! "What am I going to do now?!"

"Fly," said the 2nd ranked general with a cold tone.

Zion was forced to flap his wings and escape as the young teenager chased after him with red eyes. "You will die!"

Meanwhile, the old witch looked around at the Nation of Reborn and frowned. Filled with grief and anger, she decided to fulfill the very condition that they had come here in the first place.

"You have expended your power," said the 3rd ranked general to Grieve up above. "Now, there is no one to save your nation from destruction."

...

...

...

Michael looked at Worcester, who looked completely triumphant over his plans working.

"It won’t be long before your very nation is destroyed! My generals are all in the 2nd stage of the Nascent Spirit realm or higher! Even with your talented fighters, they won’t be able to fight against my generals!"

And at this point, even Michael agreed. If it was purely a one-on-one duel, even the Dragonborns wouldn’t be able to win against Nascent Spirit realm cultivators. The power difference was way too big.

But that was why he prepared a few defenses to help his allies.

If they were overwhelmed with power, then they would answer back with numbers!

...

...

...

The Old Witch raised her staff, summoning dark clouds all over the Nation of Reborn. With the power of her Nascent Influence, she was able to create the destructive force of nature and use it for her own will.

Suddenly, the clouds rumbled. Thunder flashed all over. And suddenly, the images of red flashed on the skies.

And it wasn’t long before lava fell from the skies. Raining down with the speed of storms, coming down on the Nation of Reborn and intending to bury them in volcanic ash and lava!

It was at this point that a protective golden aura emanated out of the entirety of the nation of Reborn.

This was Michael’s protective Nascent Influence.

The old witch clicked her tongue. "Tsk. Whatever. As long as I am here, that protective golden aura will not last."

And it was true. With her continuing to bombard the Nascent Influence, even Michael’s defenses would start to wear down.

But unfortunately, no one seemed capable of disrupting the old witch. She was, after all, a Nascent Spirit cultivator.

It was at this moment that a few figures flashed in front of her.

Three unknown faces. The 3rd ranked general looked at these people and couldn’t recognize them. They had never been scouted before in their espionage against the Reborn company.

"Hmph. Whoever you are, you will not be able to disrupt me."

A green, ethereal bubble enveloped the old witch, made from her own Nascent Influence.

Just then, one of the unknown figures struck the green bubble. The old witch smiled at first, but then noticed that a crack had formed on its surface.

"WHAT?!"

Alpha looked at the Old Witch and smiled. "Are you sure this is going to last?"

Beside her was Bravo and Charlie. And together, the three of them charged towards the Old Witch and bombarded her protective bubble with their power.

Their solidified Unity Armor was at the same level as a Nascent Armor, meaning their physicality was the same as the Old Witch.

Within a few strikes from the three Unity Clones, the Old Witch’s green bubble shattered.
